Episode 348 - Owl Be Home For Christmas - Cricut Explore (Day 3)

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Welcome to Day 3 of My Pink Stamper's 12 Days of Christmas!  Don't forget to enter a comment on every post for a chance to win!  Also, don't forget about my NEW RELEASE next Friday!  You are going to be super happy with this one because they will ship out a ton faster!!

Sorry that I am posting this late this am but my daughter informed me that I was making lunch for her and 10 of her friends.  I was busy in the kitchen with that.  Fun stuff!!

*Preorder Update!  My manufacturer called me this morning to let me know that our stamps did not make it out yesterday due to a problem with one of their printers.  They are going out today on FedEx but doesn't look like I will get the shipment until Saturday or Monday.  I'm so sorry about the delay!  I will definitely not be doing Preorders again.  Just a pain for you all to have to wait for them.  :(  Thanks for being so awesome!

Today's Video:

Okay, I know I've said this before but this is probably one of my most favorite projects I have ever made a video on.  Yes, it is using the Cricut Explore but such a fun technique that I haven't seen demoed yet.  I've made a candle before but just watch all the possibilities.  (NOTE:  I still don't know if I'm sold on the Explore yet, but this is a super cool technique!)

Today's Giveaway:

Today is a very special giveaway because it was made just for my 12 Days of Christmas by my very own sister!  Christy has knitted a pink and gray hat just like the one in a video that I posted about a week or so ago.  It is sooooooo super cute!!  Hope the winner loves it as much as I do!!

Today's Challenge:

Make a gift for someone that is not a card!  Think outside of the box.  Stretch your imagination!  You can do it!

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE CHALLENGE TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY!

  107. Love your candle! Each Thanksgiving my girls (adults now) work on a craft related to Christmas while the guys watch football on TV. Two years ago we did an "image on a candle" just as you did. It was fun doing that with my girls. This year we cut out, pieced and machine quilted a Christmas table runner. Actually, the girls did that. I already had one so I just supervised this year.

I plan on using my favorite candles....real wax Flameless with timers. They are great if you have small children and pets. I think that little Owl and Sentiment is super cute and perfect for the little candle, your Stamps are the best.. I'm so glad you are back! Love the hat your sister made, to me that is talent.

  152. Your candle is so cute! I did something similar to this, but with the top layer of 3-ply napkin (think birthday out holiday napkins with pictures on them, and take each thin layer apart). The tutorial told me to use an iron, and I used a little crafting iron. You are right about using too much heat. In the places I did, it looked messy.
