Episode 335 - A Turtle Trick or Treat! (Halloween Card)

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I am feeling so much better today!  Thank you for all of the well wishes.  It was only a 24 hour thing, thank goodness!  My family needs me to be fully functioning or things go to pots in my house.  Not kidding either.  :)

We are getting grass today!!  Yay!  I've been waiting for a month for this day to happen.  Just in time for it to snow soon.  Perfect time to get the grass, from what I've heard.  It will be nice and lush in the Spring.

They are almost finished with the front!!

The backyard should be finished tomorrow.  Muffin will be so happy!!!  Lol!

Okay, here is a quick video for you all.  I almost didn't post it because the project is SOOOOO simple and basic but I thought I should just go ahead and do it!  Maybe someone out there will be inspired by it.  I have to remember that we are all at different levels in crafting and what I might consider simple, someone else might think it is just perfect.  So, I hope you enjoy!!

It's so weird having all my kids in school all day long.  I have time to clean up and do chores in the morning and then have a few hours open every day.  I probably should do something with all that time, huh?!  Maybe start a business again??!!  ;)

As I have been organizing and going through my scrapbooks I have been starting to feel sad.  My kids are growing up sooooo fast!  My 16 year old will be off to college in about a year and a half.  Holy cow!!  Life will be quiet around here without her.  Take a second and snuggle your babies today, if you blink, they will be all grown up!

Here's a pic of my 14 year old who I also like to call Mini Me!  She dressed up as an 80's girl last week for a Halloween concert!  Tomorrow she is dressing up as an old lady and I caught her looking through my closet for a dress!  What?!  I'm not an old lady!!

I'm off to make about 100 goodie bags for my kids' classes!  Plus, some pumpkin bread to take to the girls I visit teach and my sister who just had surgery yesterday.  I'll share pics when I'm finished.  Until then…..  Happy Halloween!!

  11. Glad that you are feeling better Robyn. Your card is adorable and simple is what we need sometimes. Yes, our children grow up so fast!!! We had the 5 boys and then later in life our youngest came along. So I thought that the time wouldn't fly by. WRONG! My baby is in his 1st year of college and we have an empty nest. I had children under my roof for 32 years and those 32 years went by in the blink of an eye. I didn't like it either. lol I know we prepare them so they can leave the nest but it's hard when they do. So grab every minute you can with your kids. I'm still grabbing every second I can with our boys. Hugs, Brenda

  13. Cute card. It's been so long since I've seen anyone use the Cuttlebug and Cricut machines. Welcome back Robyn. I like simple cards. All the bloggers seem like they are in a contest to see how elaborate they can make their cards. Your yard is going to be so beautiful. The kids are going to have a great time playing in it.
