To Pink or Not to Pink….. That is the Question!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today is my most favorite day of the week!  It's a time where I can catch up, clean up, and rest from the weekend!  Did you all know that my husband has been living in Oklahoma for the entire Summer??!!  3 full months since we've moved here!  He finally moves to Utah with us THIS Friday!  I'm jumping out of my seat for joy!!  WOOOO HOOOOO!!!   It's been a long, hard Summer.

So, they are almost done painting the basement of our new house and I have to have all of the colors picked for the other floors!  YIKES!  I am having the hardest time thinking of a PINK for My Pink Loft!  A part of me just wants to do it in Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter like the rest of the walls in my home.  The bedrooms will probably be different colors, though.

Let's do a little pole……

Pink - Yes

Not Pink - (You will still love me anyway!)

Here is one of the pinks I am looking at.  I know some of you have suggested a lighter pink but honestly, that doesn't get my creative mood going.  I need either all or nothing.  Vibrant & bright or neutral.

Here is Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter

I'm sure it will be fine either way.  Just having major guilt if I don't do my room in pink.  It's not going to cost me any more money to pick a nice color.  It's just easier for the painters to do it all one color, which means we move in quicker, too!  Plus, not sure if I will find the right shade of pink.  So many colors to choose from!!

On another note, here is a sneak peek of my laundry room.  It is almost completely installed.  I can't wait to do laundry in it!  I'm such a horrible laundry lady.   Maybe this will help me stay more organized and on top of things.

I hope you all have a great day!!  Talk to you soon!

  2. ooops, posted on Facebook Pewter with pink about the room, and yes I will say it again...so very chic!

  3. Posted on Facebook but I say no to pink walls. Go with the pewter and use your pink accessories for accent. Much classier and chic.

  4. I'm going along with the pewter and lots and lots of pink accents. Tres chic.

  5. Use the pink for accents. Maybe only one accent wall and pink decorations.

  6. Pewter with Pink Accents. You will always be the Pink Stamper...

  7. You do what makes you happy! You are the one that will have to live with it until you repaint it...lol..
Just saying what makes you happy. You will always be the Pink Stamper you will have your pink blog

  8. Go with your gut and what you know you love in your heart of hearts. I think they both are very pretty, and if you get something you dont like you can always paint it later on. By the way I love the laundry room. When you are all moved and settled in maybe we could see a mini house tour, no bedrooms of course.

  9. Pewter with the pink accents and accessories. :-)

  10. I just had my craft room/office painted pink. I love it. I used Sherwin Williams Fussy Pink (6853).

  11. Pewter with pink accents

  12. I love the color pink. NO pink walls. Pink is a mentally and physically draining color. That's why some prison walls are painted pink. Go with the gray and use pink decor everywhere.

  13. Pewter with one pink wall. You can accent the room in mostly pink and add other colors to make it pop. One your walls are all pink, it's harder to decorate. PLUS the pink might take away from your creativity on display being too bold.....just my opinion

  14. Pink!!! I did frosty berry with white trim and shelving/cabinetry and LOVE it!

  15. PInk with peweter trims. If pink gets you creative juice flowing go pink!

  16. I like pink....creative mood going :o)

  17. I think you should go with whatever you like.Which ever way you go you will always be The Pink Stamper.

  18. I thought pewter at first, but I'm liking pink

  19. Well I really like the grey with the pops of pink idea. But my question is why would they put in the cabinetry before they paint the walls?

  20. Accents of PINK in different tones would be perfect, and YES, everyone will still love you. Pink is just a color...it's you that people love! Also, I think that ¨that pink¨, is a little dark for the pewter color, so you would have to use it sparingly (but, that's just me). :)

  21. I like the pewter. but its your space and you have to live with it.. Just be you and do what you like... but for me pewter would be the color.. :)

  22. I love accent walls! So I would say do a pink one. We have my daughters room like that. Cream on four walls and then a hot pink wall. It looks really nice and not too overwhelming! Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  23. That would be three walls with the cream! Hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  24. I say pewter and "pink" it up with accents!! That way IF you ever get tired of pink you can easily change it!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wow! You are a pink gal! I like pink too but softer shades. That being said, I would be so uninspired and depressed if I looked at grey walls all over my crafty room. I tried grey once in our living room. Looked very classy with the pink accents. But we avoided the room and didn't understand why until after I repainted the room a soft yellow with pink accents. So if you want to be inspired and enjoy the room, definitely go with the pink! Congratulations on your new home and happy crafting! :)

  26. Mmmm I think the pink will get your creative juices flowing. You need to do what suits you the best!!!

  27. I think pink will make you happy! It is your craft room so be happy!

  28. I like both and I'm sure whatever you do to the space will be amazing. Pink will always be your color to me, but decisions like this are really hard. Can't wait to hear!

  29. Love the pewter, accent with pink!!!

  30. Pink is your color. Get it now while someone else is doing the work and not you later. Later sometimes never comes.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Pink all the way! Just like your older room!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would go with the pewter color with various shades of pink for accents. Or you could do a pink strip in the middle or an accent wall of pink for that pop of color.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Pewter with pink accents. It will be gorgeous! I love love love your laundry room! You will be a master laundress in no time!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Definitely the Pewter. Pink accents would look great with it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Beautiful pink but way too dark. Pewter with pink accents. Wait, I re-looked at image. If the cabinets are gray and only small bits of wall exposed then I say PINK LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Definitely go with the pewter then accent with pink items! That way you can get into the house faster then you can start crafting with us much faster too! Hugs!

  37. Pewter with pink accents and possibly a pink accent wall. I think that will look great!!

  38. Pewter with pink accents

  39. Pewter with pink accents. Maybe one wall pink.

  40. Beautiful laundry room! I think your creative space should be…ummm…creative! So how about pewter walls, but have them (or you) do a wide (maybe 15 inch) horizontal stripe around the room in the pink! Make it high enough on the walls that all your furniture won't cover it. That pink will pop against the gray, and the stripe will be fun! And it will make all of your pink accents pop too!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think that if your cabinets are gray like in your laundry room then you should do pink or just do one pink wall where the cabinets are and the rest in pewter.

    ReplyDelete
  42. pewter...will look better when you do videos.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Pewter walls and accessorize with pink. That get's the painters out and you in sooner to craft and also gives you more time to pick just the right pink color for accessories. And, pewter will be a lot easier to paint over if you want to go pink later for that crafting mojo.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'd go with the pewter...you can add all your pink stuff and it will look fine. It really won't matter, because you will always be the Pink Stamper!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Do what makes you feel the most creative. If it were me, would do both!!!! They compliment each other very well. Can't wait to have your posts back in my email inbox!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. PINK!!! Have fun with the decision....it just wouldn't be right not having pink walls for the Pinkstamper! :-) Pewter is such an industrial color....if you are using that in the rest of your house...be different in your own space!! Lucky you with a new house!!! Enjoy God's blessing and goodness!! So glad you and hubby will be reunited this week, I'm sure being apart has been a strain! No matter what you finally decide....I'm looking forward to all the new videos, have missed them so much the last couple of years!

  49. pewter with Pink accents or pink décor.

  50. Pink. All the way!!! You love pink. The pewter is real pretty. Your room should one of kind.

  52. Geeze, I can't type tonight. lol I LOVE pink. I would still use the Pewter though and as mentioned above use Pink accents. Less is more!!

  53. Definitely Pink. It's your signature!

  54. Throwing in my two cents...pewter.
I really like pink, but the softer shades of it so I'm not a fan of "pepto bismol" pink.
I also, at my age, need good lighting to do just about anything but especially for doing art and craft work, so my additional two cents opinion is that you keep your lighting condition in mind when deciding on any color for any room in your home. For me, the pewter color would provide much more lighting to my eyes and make creating in a room painted that color much more comfortable.

Whatever color you choose...enjoy it. There would be nothing for you to feel guilty about if you decide to switch it up and not go pink. Remember, it's only paint.

I'm happy to hear your husband will be home with you soon. I can't imagine what it would be like to be without my husband for 3 months...and I hope I never find out.

  55. I love both the colors you picked out. I would say paint the pewter and accent pink with all your crafting bins & supplies. Or maybe paint an accent wall pink, but I don't think it all has to be pink to still be your pink loft.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow, I am loving your laundry room!!! I would die for a laundry room like that, mine washer and dryer is in the dingy basement and I do mean dingy. lol I am really loving both of your color choices Robyn, but maybe do the pewter with pink accents. I think they both go lovely together and you would still have your pink to inspire you. Hugs, Brenda

  57. 1 wall Pink and the others Pewter. Then pink accents through out. I think the pink and pewter would look nice together. I just saw some vases done with silver insides and pink chalk paint on the outside.....they were very pretty.

  58. Pewter with pink accent!!!

  59. I had to laugh at your comment, Robin. Maybe the laundry room is the room that needs the super pink on the walls to make you more likely to get your work done quickly and efficiently. As for the craft room...close your eyes and picture the craft room. Choose whichever color combo came to mind at your first try.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Don't feel quilty if you don't choose pink. But you could combine them. 2 walls pink and 2 walls pewter. Can't wait to see the results

    ReplyDelete
  61. I think those cabinets will look beautiful with the pink on the walls and it will look fantastic!!! So I vote PINK!!!!! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Pewter!! Love the mud room!!! Get done and start working on videos!!! So many changes in the cricut creation area

    ReplyDelete
  63. Just a splash of pink is enough to still make it a pink loft. Can't wait to see the finished room.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I love my white walls with a large hot pink horizontal stripe (with smaller dark blue denim stripes on either side) and lots of pink sparkly accessories so the pewter with pink accessories sounds good to me. Have fun decorating!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Ok Robyn, don't feel guilty if you do not have pink in your loft. Everyone knows pink is your love, but it may be time to change the color of the room, especially with the beautiful pewter color you found! If you have to have pink in your room, you can add pink accents. The pink color is really too bright, in my opinion, but it is not my room or my house. The pewter color is BEAUTIFUL! You have had a pink room for many years, time for a change...new house, new room, new color. I can't wait to see it. I am very excited for you & your family. Buffy, NC

  68. Pewter with pink accents. .. if heaven forbid. ... you decide you want your crafty space smoothed color then it's an easy fix. Though I doubt this would ever be the case. .. lol

    ReplyDelete
  69. First. I want to say no matter what you pick you will always be the pink stamper! I do think you could paint it pewter and make an accent wall pink with other pink items around.

    ReplyDelete
  70. At first I was thinking the pewter but the more I think on it you might be glad, especially in the winter, if you had your fun pink room to be in where it was nice and bright ! Whatever you choose if you hate it you could always repaint ! :)
