First Day of School and Survival Kits

Hello Everyone!

It was the first official day of school around here.  Some of my kids were excited to go and some weren't.  It turned out that they all had a great day and like their classes.  First year ever that everyone was happy.  YAAAY!  What a blessing!

Last night I made these Survival Kits for my two teenage daughters.  They loved them!  I'm so glad I took the time and was inspired to make these for them.

Here they all are this morning!  Up bright and early, ready for a day of learning!
(This was me after they left!  LOL!)

  7. Betty, I just gave my boys some candy this year and made goodie bags for their classes. Since my girls no longer get all the goodie bags I made them survival kits. My boys will get these in middle school and high school.

  35. What a terrific idea! I am going to have to share this with my friend who teaches in the HS girls Sunday School Class at my church. Hmm I wonder what would work for the HS guys? She raised two boys so I am sure she can come up with items for the guys. I am one that you do for all or none and am so glad you did this for your girls! Robin and family I pray you have a wonder full year!

  39. Robyn, I truly love you. You are the mom I could never be. I had an accident where I fell at my job, I was standing in a chair (they didn't have anything else for me to stand on) & I fell in a sitting position on to a tiled concrete floor breaking my coccyx bone, my t-1, rupturing my c6&7 in my neck. I was 29, my husband & I was finally moved close to our families & he was where he could retire from the Navy here by recruiting. So needless to say we could not have children or adopt due to my back issues & sever migraines I started having about 5 years after my fall. I could not take care of myself much less a child. Luckily my parent lived close & they took me to all doctors. Now I am getting ready to have my 10 & 11th back procedure/surgery. I do have a niece I so things foe like u do your children, when I feel food. I just love your goodies for your beautiful girls & goodie bags for you guys. My niece & I made the goodie bags last year for Halloween & she really enjoyed it & so did her class. Thanks for your inspiration! Buffy Scott, NC. mikebuff@surry.net
