Live Scrapbooking!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Today as I was about to prepare dinner I noticed all 3 of my boys were out front playing so nicely together.  I grabbed my camera and quickly snapped some fun shots.  Then the thought occurred to me....  Is there a such a thing as "Live Scrapbooking"?  If not, I think I have just invented a fun new idea that I will use often!!  I uploaded the pictures within a few minutes after I took them and made a quick digital scrapbook page.  One of my thoughts was that I am forgetting so many of the details behind my pictures.  I am not organized enough to remember to write down things in a notebook for all of my pictures.  I am still a chronological scrapbooker, of course, but this is a nice way I can make some pages while I still remember why I took the pictures!

BTW - Do you LOVE our Oklahoma blizzard in the background?  We were supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow last night.  Woke up, and had a dusting, which melted in a couple of hours.  Welcome to Oklahoma!  Of course, the North Western part got plenty of snow for ALL of the state!  YIKES!  My kids woke up expecting to have the day off and I, enthusiastically lovingly, sent them out the door.  :)
(I used a Digital Kit from Die Cuts with a View called Skateboard.  I believe I got it from Jessicasprague.com but I can't remember.)

I print my pages out through an online company www.scrappingsimply.com.

As I am scrapbooking my current pictures I am also scrapbooking from where I am chronologically.  So I am working on February 2013 and October 2009.  Here is a page from that folder.

If you are into digiscrap, you might want to visit my blog. I wrote an engine that goes around several sites every day and publishes potential freebies. Hope you like it. Let me know.

Great layouts Robyn, love the "live scrapping" idea!! I got a digi class from JS for my birthday, now I just need to watch it--I'm excited to learn!! Good to see you!! ;)

I think "Live Scrapbooking" is a great idea! Especially since you don't have to do anything except load the pics into your computer and take off. I use MiDesigns from Michaels, and I've been quite pleased with the results. I have Photoshop Elements, but it seems so complicated that I'm intimidated. Plus I don't know how to get the pages printed in 12" x 12" format. I might have to look into the web site you mentioned. Love your blog.

I really need to try this more often. I am so glad you got to catch this moment in your boys life. As the grandmother of 2 young boys these moments are far and few between at our house but when they happen they are so magical.

I too forget why I took pictures. I've started writing things down but I have many back years to go to finish my scrapbooking. I have the pictures already printed so I guess it's the old fashioned way for me.

I love that idea Robyn! And look how quickly you got a page done. Loving the digital pages, I may have to try that.

Nice layouts. Digital scrapping doesn't take up the space that traditional scrapping takes and that I like. I've joined NAODS and have learned a lot through her videos/classes using Photoshop Elements 11. Well worth the membership fees. You look so very happy in those pictures. I pray that you are still happy.

Great idea Robyn, I too am getting into digital scrapbooking. Not all of my pages though, I still love doing the traditional pages, hands on, adding embellishments and everything but digital does help to get caught up.

What program do you use for digital scrapbooking?

Cool digital pages, Robyn! Are the pages 12x12? How are you printing them out? Does your printer do 12x12? If so, would you mind sharing the name of the printer? LOL....sorry for so many questions :)
