Nursery Rhymes Baby Shower Favors

 Hello My Crafting Friends!

I'm so sorry I have been MIA lately!  Karlee's visit was a blur and then after she left on Monday I came down with an itty bitty bug.  I was just a little off, so I rested a bit.  I honestly think that staying up late for Black Friday deals had something to do with it.  My body wasn't used to staying up late and not getting enough sleep.  I am feeling much better today and should be back to 100% in the morning.

I'm throwing a baby shower / fellowship luncheon tomorrow for a new girl in my church who is expecting her fourth child.  She just moved here a couple of months ago and doesn't know anyone.  A few friends and I thought this would be a great chance for everyone to get to know her.

I made these party favors using the Cricut Imagine and the Nursery Rhymes cartridge.  Super cute!  18 of these took me about 2 hours.  :)



Can I share some deep thoughts with you all for a minute?  I need some motivation to get healthy again!  Do you all remember when I got fit over 2 years ago and then ran a marathon?  My body, mind, and soul felt so GREAT at that time in my life.  Because of my injury, I have slowly got back to the place I was in the beginning.  I need some buddies to do this with me.  I need a challenge.  I need a start date.  I NEED ENCOURAGEMENT!!   Please leave a comment if you are on board with me.  We will start January 2nd and be accountable to each other.  I want to set small goals and accomplish something.  I turn 40 in January and that in itself is a big deal.   I have felt so sluggish lately and even though I am playing a lot of tennis, I know I am not eating right.  We can start up My Pink Loser Facebook page again if that will help.  Let me know your thoughts.

Cute baby shower gifts! :) I just moved from Arizona to Nebraska. So I totally understand not knowing anyone and needing to get to know people! :) Anyways! I'd be in for some motivation. I have it all sorted out in my head but making the move to actually work out and eat well is really difficult - especially the work out bit. I think because prior to my marriage & move to this small town and becoming a SAHW I was always super active without ever trying. Now I need to find something that I enjoy that I can do with that same ease, if that makes sense?

Cute favors. I need some motivation to get my scrapbook stuff back out in addition to exercise. I've been doing zumba for the last few months. I started in February but had to stop because of my son's sports schedule. I just rejoined the Y and have been trying to get there 3 days a week. It's hard with this cold weather and it getting dark at 5pm. Once that sun goes down I lose all motivation and am ready for bed. Ugh! I'm in with you but I'm starting now!!! ~kris

HI I am in for jan2 I have lost 72 lbs in past. But when i turned 50 it slowly came back.But i will never give up i know i can do it again and so can you . Your health is the most imporant thing . You and i can do it never give up by the way i will be 64 soon and iwill not give up .

Hi Robyn,
I have enjoyed following all of your adventures. I lost 100 pounds, and due to a severe infection that I have been fighting for over a year, I have been on lots of antibiotics, and have gained 40 back. I want to be in on January 2. I recently turned 65 and really want to get healthy.

Super cute favors! I love that frog, he is one of my favorites! I too need to get fit! My step-daughter is getting married next October and I would love to be in better shape by then. I need to lose about 55lbs. May not happen by then but I will be well on my way. I did weight watcher about a year ago did great then got sick and have never went back. I would love to be a buddy!!!!!!

COUNT ME IN!
I turned 40 in Sept. I went to the Doctor YESTERDAY and they drew 24 viles of Blood! YES 24 VILES...I had to fast and my apt was at 7pm and they were still trying to get all that blood out of me at 5pm. I was sick, sick, sick.
All this to say that the doctor is determined to find out exactly what is wrong w/ me. She is testing me for EVERYTHING. I am sluggish, I have gained weight, my back hurts, I don't sleep well, my vision has worsened in 2 years. A lot of minor stuff. I was willing to overlook most everything EXCEPT weight gain.
I Go back in 3 weeks (DEC 19th) to get results.
Regardless of what she says, I'm on board with you. But I don't think I can run a marathon though! :)

very cute! And don't worry about 40! It is the new 30! I am not that far behind you and I am excited to be 40 with everything I learned from my 20s and 30s under my belt. Now 50 may be a whole other thing:-)

I have followed your blog for sometime now. I was so motivated when I saw that you lost weight two years ago. I finally did something about it this summer. I have lost 31 pounds and I have 20 more to go. So YES I will be with you in January. We can do this!!

Cute baby shower favors and how nice of you to make the new girl feel welcome. It's hard when you don't know anyone and you are trying to fit in. Robyn, I'm with you too. I keep saying I need to lose weight but I don't do anything about it. I am always so tired, moreso from a lack of sleep but still, I rarely have energy. When is enough enough, the years are flying by and I am still in the same rut. I've worked out in the past but never stuck to it. :(

The thought of making getting healthy again is a wonderful priority. I for one would be on board, but I really lack motivation as the everyday tasks are about all I can seem to do! I need a miracle! (by the way, 40's are great, much to look forward to)

I am on board with you on the get healthy journey. I will be 46 in December and i am looking to lose weight and get healthy. I have found a great website skinnyms.com and there is a lot of great information there. I just met with a nutritionist and when I told her what I eat on a regular basis she said, why are you not losing weight? Then I told her what I eat on weekends and that explained it. LOL I am going to work with her at her yoga studio and really be committed to this. I would love to have some company on this journey.

YES. I need someone to keep me accountable. I am stopping my classes the end of Dec at LifeTime and want to do my Pilates reformer and get into running on the treadmill..... My one goal is to get to 3 miles.

It should not be hard for you with all the energy you use in tennis and with your kids. Get healthy now while you are still young. I tried after turning 50 and I just can not do it. My doctor seems ok with it since I'm maintaining my weight. At one point he was like "a pound or two a year doesn't seem like much but after another 20 years"

Those are really cute treat bags Robyn. You always make such adorable stuff. That's a wonderful idea you have to get healthy. I will be 73 in February and although I'm not very overweight I would like to join you because I don't eat healthy. My husband is about 60#'s overweight and he is slowly killing himself with food. I would give anything to get him to join me but I know it's a lost cause. No wonder women outlive men by 10 years or more! See you on the 2nd!

I'm in January 2nd!!! I also lost weight 2 years ago and it has slowly crept back on. MY brother unexpectedly passed in August. It threw me for a loop and I have piled on yet even more pounds. It's so depressing to feeling this unhealthy going up and down stairs.

Count me in!!! I just had my third baby this September and went from 150 to 219 ouch !!!! I have found it really hard to get motivated to lose the weight this time. I have lost the 20 but that was natural loss and now I have to get that 50 off. I need a support system. I have followed you since wow I guess maybe 2009 and you have always been such a inspiration in many ways. Lets get fit!!!

I am on board. I started a biggest loser challenge with some friends and it ends December 25, so I need to keep up the motivation and it helps when you are doing with other people, so I am on board.

I will be a "loser" with you! Turned the BIG 40 this year it didn't hurt as much as I thought but I hate being so LARGE and have no motivation either. You are one of those people Iove to follow and look up to for ideas and have all your positivity rub off on me!!

OMG'sh! How cute! I keep telling myself that I do not need to get an Imagine, but then I see stuff like this and have to think again. :)

As far as getting healthy, I was so proud of myself for running my first 5K that I promptly stopped doing anything of the sort. I don't know why except that I'm a teacher, which is a busy job, and my youngest had just left for boot camp the week before, which was a little sad. Anyway, I have recently started back again and would love some virtual company. I have a lot of weight to lose and a long road ahead of me, but if I'm in it with others, who have the same goal-to get healthy-I think it'll be easier. :)

Cute favors. My SIL has a facebook page called Eating for the health of it and Walking for the heart of it. She was told change her eating habits and lose weight or die of liver failure. She eats no processed food and gets a little wild with juiceing a lot of her foods but she has lost a lot of weight and her liver enzymes have come down into normal ranges.

Robyn, right there with you. I am in a funk right now. I turned 50 in Oct and I have to say it is so hard to stay focused. I only have about 20 lbs to lose however, I would be so much healthier for it if I did. I have blood sugar problems and it makes it very difficult to stay where I need to be as it can make one depressed from time to time. I was just telling my hubby the other day about myfitnesspal.com and how we should try it. He told me to go for it and he would love to do it too. Now, having you and everyone else doing it will make it even better! I am going to download today on my Iphone. Thanks for giving me the jump start!

I'm kind of in the same boat, my plantar fasciitis came back after be gone for 15 years. I've gained over 40lbs back that I lost over a year ago. I'm not eating right and I feel crummy most of the time. I could use some motivation. Count me in. Traci

Also I would love to join the challenger with you. I need some motivation. I tried to start some diets in the past but I always give up. I really need to loose weight. I have a severe problem with my right foot, it's called fasciitis plantar and its really hurts, it's like a knife going through your foot. If I loose weight and do my stretching I know I will feel better!!!
