Ewe are loved!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I hope you all have had a GREAT week so far!  You want to know what I've been working on for the past 3 weeks??  Family History!  When I went to visit my in-laws in California my Father-in-law got me really excited about finding my ancestors.  It has become something that I enjoy doing so much and I am feeling closer to my relatives.  It's fun to see where I came from and learn a little about my family.  If you want to fill out your own Family Tree and start working on yours you can start here at https://familysearch.org/.  Who knows, some of us might actually be related!  LOL!

I have decided that I need more cards READY TO GO that I am actually going to use!!  LOL!  I have 4 boxes of cards that are made but they are never just what I am looking for.  You know, a quick card that you can give to someone as you are delivering cupcakes, cookies, or dropping them a note in the mail?  Don't get me wrong, I have LOVED making all my other cards and I know I will use them when the right situation comes along but I wanted more general cards to send out to family and friends.

Robin, You are so right, I struggle with the same issue. Your card is really cute and generic. I think I will try mass production. TFS Traci

Robin - I love your card. It is so nice to have a "stash" of cards for the last moment ready to go moments! This card is adorable and I am sure the recipients will love them. I have always been interested in following my family tree - thank you for the link - I will definitely be checking it out!

My mom has really gotten into family history using MyAnsestory.com. In fact, we had a huge family reunion back in May where we got to meet a ton of extended family for the first time.

I have been thinking the same thing about my cards. I have lots for friends and such, but none for kids birthday (which I need the most). Planning on making a bunch soon.

You know, I need to do this. We all go through times when we need a card and then it takes us an hour to come up with one for a party or for a sick friend. I need to set time aside to make some. Thanks for always inspiring me, Robyn.

I thought I left a comment but I guess I didn't. Looking into your family history is so much fun but like scrapbooking very addicting. I am taking a genealogy course at Boston University. If there was one thing I would suggest is to document your sources. The FHC is a great resource as I am sure you know. I have been able to get my grandfather's family's records from Italy. The people there are so helpful. If you need any help please feel free to email me dianasmommie@yahoo.com Lisa :-)

Darling cards friend!!! Family history is super fun. One side (Hans' side) has kept impeccable records. My side has not unfortunately. I need to make that a project some time!
