So happy to be home!

I don't know if any of you are like me but traveling makes me crazy!  I prefer to be home doing my normal routine.  I am grateful for our quick trip but it was very exhausting.  We rode in 6 planes and had over 5 hours of driving time in our rental car AND we were only there for 4 1/2 days!  YIKES!  We all had a wonderful trip but I do have to say, there's no place like home!  I love California, as I was born and raised there, but I loooooooove Oklahoma and the slow-paced life that I have here.  I told my husband that I think I am now a true country girl.  LOL!

Here are some more highlights of our trip!  I promise that this will be the last of them today.  :)

My 7 year old was so excited to go on a scavenger outdoor adventure!  He earned his "badge" and couldn't stop smiling.

I usually don't play a lot of games at amusement parks but my oldest 3 children and I couldn't resist playing a couple.  I won this very large Toy Story stuffed animal on the first game I played.

Since my 5 year old is so into Toy Story, we gave it to him.  He had to take it with him to bed that night.

My 5 year old lost his 2nd tooth while in CA and guess what?  The tooth fairy knew where he was!  LOL!  He was so amazed to find a dollar bill under his pillow the next morning.  He is such a cutie!

The main reason we went to California was to visit my in-laws who are serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We were able to spend an entire evening with them and have a true Family Home Evening.  It was very special.  Don't they look so happy in this picture?

Of course, we couldn't leave California without stopping by Randy's Donuts.... TWICE!!!  A good friend told us about it.  Funny how I had never heard of it!

Okay, I can't believe I'm showing this but it wouldn't be a true Robyn post without an embarrassing video, right?  They were asking for hoola hoop "mommy" volunteers and of course my hand shot straight up!  My husband had left for a few minutes to take one of my boys to the rest room and when he came back, to his surprise I was part of the show!  LOL!  He told me later that he wasn't surprised at all!  He sure knows me!

I like to stay home when I take time off too, but I think it's great that you're able and willing to take your kids on these fun trips. And then to volunteer like this is just fantastic!

Robyn, you hoola hoop really well. I use hoola hoop for excercise. I keep it in my Craft room and when my body goes numb from crafting...I pick it up, put on some music and hoop away....ahhh such fun, wakes up the body too...lol. I call it Craftersize.
Glad you had a great time.
Take care
