Happy Boo Ghost Suckers!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are having a great week so far!  Let me tell you about my week starting with yesterday...

Monday - I decided that I wanted to change my schedule by getting up a whole hour and 15 minutes earlier, which was at 5:45 AM.  I hopped on my stationary spin bike that my DH got me over the Summer (this is only the 3rd time I've used it)!  Then I spent the rest of the day unpacking, catching up on about 20 loads of laundry, going to the gym to work upper body, cleaning my kitchen, my bedroom, and picking up the house.  I also started a crock pot dinner, which recipe I found on Pinterest.  By the time it was Family Home Evening (which is on every Monday night) I could only sit lethargically in the chair staring at my family.  LOL!

Tuesday - Alarm goes off.  Hit snooze.  Woke up at 7:00.  Took kids to school.  Came home and took a 2 hour nap!  LOL!!

I've decided that I don't think I can do the early morning thing every day.  It was great yesterday but I have been a SLUG today!  I would much rather get up at my normal time and get the regular stuff done.

This evening I started working on some goodies for this Friday night's Trunk or Treat Halloween Festival at my church.  We have the kids come outside for "Trunk" or Treat as we hand out goodies from the backs of our decorated vehicles.  Such a safe environment and I get to talk to all the children & youth in my ward (whom I love)!  These are simple Tootsie Pop Ghosts made using coffee filters (even though I don't drink coffee).  I added a video tutorial I made a few years ago under the pics.  Hope you enjoy these!  It took me about an hour to make 65 of them.
For this project I used a Ghost stamp set by one of my favorite stamp companies.

Here is a video I made over 3 years ago showing how to make these!!  It was video #68!

Here is an update of my HUGE pumpkin!  It is finally starting to turn orange on one side.  We have a cold front moving in by the end of the week so not sure how much longer it will grow.  We might have to harvest it soon.

We are SOOOOOO excited about our tomato plants!!  They have been green for the past month, never turning red.  We went on vacation and when we came back on Saturday night, there were 3 that had turned red.  We are going to eat one tonight!  YAAAY for my farming abilities!!  LOL!

Check out my grocery basket.  Can you see what is hidden below it?  Besides all the goodies I got for our Halloween party!

Little sweet Brayden was hiding under it all!  LOL!!

You all are going to be so bummed for me.  I actually got my Flip Video camera out to make a video series for you.  (Yep!  You heard right!  I am going to make a simple video series!)  BUT my video camera died!!  I had to order a new battery for it this afternoon.  Too bad that when I was in the mood to film my camera wasn't.  I even pulled out one of my earlier Flip models and they were dead, too!  Soooo sad for them!  Now that the weather is cooling off I plan on spending more time indoors doing chores and sharing what I love!

  2. Robyn I so envy your ability to sleep in....I have to get up at 5:30AM every day for school....if there was one thing I'd change about my job that sure would be it, I am SO not a morning person, LOL!!!! The tootsie pops look so cute and so does the pic of little Brayden in the cart! Looking forward to your new video series!!

  3. Robyn, I agree anything before 7:30 is to early. Since DH is not working from home now and being a good wife I get up and help him get things ready for the day, out the door by 7:30, back to bed for a bit. Not a morning person either. We have a Gym in our Basement...a bit dusty, but love the Treadmill. Can't wait for you to get your Camera together, would love to see some new Video's. That little Brayden is to much...a cutie pie.
    Have a great week!

  4. What a cute little sandwich

  5. LOL! I hear you on the morning routine. I've planned to get up an walk so many morning then just hit the snooze instead!

  6. Too funny...I get up daily at 7:30 and I'm in bed usually at 11:30 pm. The only way I nap is if I'm REALLY sick...and then people run and hide, as I'm one cranky person if I nap. Lee-Ann :)

  7. I get up every morning at 4:30am I wish I could just hit the snooze, but I do get to nap after everyone leaves. Your little ghosts are so cute. Can wait to see more videos.

  8. Adorable Halloween project and your son is so cute, love the smiles.

    Hugs, Lori m

  9. I love the ghosts pops. Way too cute. I have to say I was laughing about your getting up early to get things done. I have tried that several times over the years with your exact same results!!! I so wish I was an early morning person!!! Love the pumpkin, it is getting so big!!! YAY!!!

  10. Cute pops! Can't wait to see a series! Yay! But in any case, I love all your posts with or without videos. It's fun to see someone else's crazy life with kiddos!

  11. I have a spin bike too! I have a commerical spin bike that are found in gyms that I picked up when a gym was closing. It was a steal and since I used to teach spinning before kiddos, It came in handy for class preps and now it only holds dust... I need to get back in the saddle. I love the tootsie pops. You grocery venture is funny!

  12. Those ghost suckers look delish. I wish I'd seen this before Halloween this year. I'd have cooked up a batch. I'll have to try them our for an upcoming FHE, for sure. Thanks for the idea for next year, though.

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I love to hear from you!!
