My Pink Stamper Big News!

Hello my AWESOME blog friends!

After pondering this matter over the Summer, I have decided to step down from my business and go back to being Robyn, My Pink Stamper, the mom and blogger!  What does this exactly mean?  Well, I've decided to stop production of all of my products including new items that are in the making.  Once my retailers sell out of my stamp line & DVD line they will be retired.  So, if there are any stamp sets you have been waiting on or you still have not purchased any of my 4 Cricut DVDs then you'd better hurry and get them while you can!  Here is a list of my retailers who still have a good inventory of my product.

(Kits, stamps, etc)

Hallmark Scrapbook

(DVDs, stamps)

Stamps Alive!

I have come to the realization that as much as I love my blog and sharing, I do not want to be a business woman.  I want to share for the pure joy of SHARING!  That is why I started my blog in the first place almost 6 years ago, and that is the way I will continue it for the next 6+ years!

I will still be using and showing MPS products and refer to my retailers but I will also be showing everything and anything that I learn in life!  LOL!  I think I might share even more now that I am doing this for pure JOY!  Don't get me wrong.  I am so thankful for the success of My Pink Stamper Products and all the many opportunities I have been given over the last 3+ years BUT all good things must come to an end and it has been a fun ride.  My children need their mommy now more than ever.  This Friday my oldest starts High School and my baby starts Kindergarten!  Wow!  Where has the time gone?

I hope you will all stay with me as I continue my journey.  I have so much to share!  In fact, I already have 3 posts ready to upload.  I will also start sharing more videos again, as soon as my kids are in their school routine.  This Summer has been fun but a little stressful.  We are so ready for a routine again!

Thank you for supporting my BIG decision!  I love you all!!

Big hugs!
Robyn
Mommy & Blogger

  7. Robyn,
I admire you for realizing that it's not about making the money but instead it's about joy and family. Don't get me wrong I love your business but I totally understand. I love photography but am afraid to turn it into a business and lose the joy I have for it. I will always follow you as long as you have your blogs.

I know that business can take over and it takes alot to run a business, but I'm happy to hear that we just get to be apart of your life! I know you are a mom and a wife first and that is what drew me to you to begin with, you had a family and yet created, I can't wait to see what you have for us. As always I will keep coming to your blog!!!!! You are great! Katina Martinez

  13. Robyn, I am so sorry to hear this but you are doing what you feel is the right thing. One thing for sure...you can start your business back anytime but you certainly can't bring your childrens' childhood back later on. So, with that said, raise your children and give them that Mommie Time they so deserve.

  14. Way to go Robyn...I would love to see more videos again and yes, our kids need us [even if they are all over 35, lol]. I have been a follower for quite a while, have a lot of your stamps and all your DVD's, so I am a happy scrapbooker!

  15. Robin, I have mixed feelings as I read this, sad for us who love your stamps, happy for you and your decision. You are so creative and such a good person, you have to do what is best for you!!! Being a business woman isn't always easy {I know first hand} and I know your family comes first. Just know we love you and love your inspiration and YOU are the reason Jillian got into card making, using stamps and then designing her own stamp line. You have blessed us! Enjoy!!! You can always go back to business after the kids are grown! We are here for you to inspire more!

  20. yes your children are only young once and if you miss it you can't get it back! I wish more people would value their families more than the money they can make. God will truly bless you and you are a blessing to us. You were working so hard we missed you!

  21. I really understand how you feel. Everytime I got into a hobby I really loved I turned it into a business and then it wasn't fun anymore and I didn't put my heart into it. It's a tough decision but one you will be happy with. Am looking forward to some of your fun projects again.

  27. Robyn, Bless your heart! I think it is beautiful that you want to cherish every moment that you have with your children. I am sure that this was a hard decision to make but going with what your heart wants is the most important. Your loyal followers including me will always support you and any decisions you make. There is no doubt about that. I wish you and your family nothing but the very best. You are one of the sweetest people/bloggers I have met and I appreciate all of your love for card making/crafting. Thank you for always sharing your amazing and very creative ideas with us through your blog. Good on ya for doing what's best for you!

  29. I will look forward to your blogs as always but I too think your emphasis should be on family. In the end they are the ones who will have a lasting benifit from your decision. I also believe this is a God based decision.

  30. Hooray for you Robyn, do what makes YOU happiest. I've missed the "old" Robyn who posted and shared her knowledge with all just for the pure joy of it. The past couple of years you've been working too hard that while still bubbly you, your heart seemed somewhat fragmented. Your family is the most important thing as well as creating for the happiness it brings. Good luck and I look forward to seeing new projects and videos. Hugs.

  32. Good for you! I bet you will feel such a lot better, I love your videos and you were one of the first blog I ever followed. You taught me how to use my Cricut and not to give up. It sat for over a year in my scraproom because I was scared to use it. You make every thing so easy.

  33. Robyn, We will always be here for you. I know this must have been a very tough decision for you to make. Your kids and family come first so enjoy them. 40. Robyn! Good for you on making the decision that is right for your family! Kids are only kids once and then they grow up. The crafting community will always be out there ready to support you if in 10 - 20 years down the road you decide to try the "business" end of crafting again! I think I speak for many that we just truly enjoy your blog because of your bubbly, positive personality and the stamps/supplies were the added bonus. Enjoy your life and lighten your load where you can. Looking forward to seeing your crafts, cards, recipes etc. Have a great day! - Disneygirl in AZ

  41. Robyn, I'm very happy that your business went so well, but I'm glad your blog is going to get back to the true you. When I found you years ago, there was not anyone else like you, it was amazing , I learned so much and was so inspired by you! Your popularity is well deserved and I don't quite know what it was, but something changed in the mix of it all, it was like when a wonderful warm small town store is replaced by a big box Wal-mart, still great and you can get stuff you need, but just doesn't have the same heart or make you just want to pop in for a visit, just not the same if that makes sense. So I'm sure it was a tough decision as it's in human nature to want to be successful, but when something you love is no longer bringing you joy or just leading you off your path, taking a step back and maybe making a tough decision is the way to go! Congratulations and welcome back My Pink Stamper!!! Andrea

  42. Wow! That is so admirable of you to make such a hard decision. But I'm glad to see how much your family means to you, after all without them why even try half the things you do right, lol.
Can't wait to see more videos cause I miss them.
Hope the school year starts off right for you guys!

  45. Oh no!!!! Robyn... This truly saddens me, I'm new to my pink stamper when I found your blog I was instantly hooked.:)I love crafting, but had not had any free time to do it, was busy with school, then after that starting my career. So after browsing through your videos, and seeing all your stamps I started crafting again... Thank you so much for that. Made me see how much I have missed it. I also said to myself one day I will be the proud owner of every single one of your stamp sets so this is the sad part of this news. Now I won't be able to own your stamps :(
I wish you the best in this decision you have made, family is very important, and should come first. I'm truly sadden, but looking forward to what you have in store for the future. Very happy, and excited for you!!!

  82. I am soo glad to know you will get back to sharing and educating us crafters with your simple way of creating. I became a follower about 4yrs. ago when I found this young perky instructor who was great with explaining how to work "Cricut" machines, how to layout multiple pieces of cardstock on a mat to cut out images....I do miss your videos cause it made me feel I was having one-on-one lessons...I felt like my day was not complete until I watched one of your videos and got a new lesson under my belt...I can understand also the role of wife-mom-crafter. I raised 6 children and my baby is goin on 31 so I can identify watching them grow too fast..but now I craft because I love it..I now enjoy making memorable albums for them of their growing families...Good for you to make the decision and realize that you loved what you did before turning it into a business...welcome back and I can't wait to see your new instructional videos on all of these fabulous machines I now own because I knew if anyone could show how to get the most from the Cricut Expression2, Imagine, Gypsy it would be YOU!!!

That is what I loved about coming here, whether it be cards, layouts, breads, jams - I loved seeing what YOU were up to. Loved your design team, but it wasn't the same without you. 86. Honestly, Robyn, I am glad to read this! I fell in love with your videos on the Cricut and how you didn't seem to edit out if you made a mistake, because we all make mistakes and have learning curves. I can't wait to see the joy back in your projects! Love your family and do the things that make you happy and your family prosper with each other.

  87. I was just thinking the other day about how I missed the card ideas and videos. I was newly retired and had just bought my Cricut when I discovered your blog and have learned so much from you! You will never regret spending time with family. Before you know it they're out the door with families of their own (of course then come the grandbabies and the joy is multiplied). Blessings to you and your family and thanks for taking the time to do your blog!

  88. Robyn I am so excited to hear this news! I missed the Robyn and My Pink Stamper I fell in love with. I felt like the creativity had left your blog and it was all about selling product. LOL that being said that IS what my blog is about... I am an SU demo, BUT my blog has always been that so I think people know that coming to my blog. Where with your blog I looked forward to seeing your fun and creative projects and when those stopped it wasn't as fun to visit you anymore. I am totally excited to see what you have in store for us now! So glad you are going this route. AND success follows you. I have no doubt you will be finding other avenues for extra money and sponsorships :) Congrats on your decision. AND HAVE FUN BEING A BLOGGER AND MOMMY AGAIN!

  90. Robyn, you taught me how to make cards about three and a half years ago and I loved your blog so much. I watched you change when you went into business and you became a whole different Robyn. Your health seemed to go downhill the more pressures that you were putting on yourself. I was a stay at home Mom until my oldest was 16 and I'll never regret it. You can always start up a business later Robyn. Your kids, your husband and your health need you now. Good decision.

I think sometimes a person is good at and enjoys so many things that it's easy to just get way too busy. I'm sure this decision will help take some of the pressure off and still allow you to enjoy your creative fun.

  95. I will continue to follow you no matter what you do! I get so much inspiration from you, craft-wise and personally, that anything you decide to post about is interesting to me. I love the baking things, the health and wellness information, etc. I found you through the Cricut, but everything changes and evolves. I'm not going anywhere! xoxo, Meg

  121. As sad as I am to learn that there will be no more of my favorite stamps, I am beyond excited to hear that you will now be enjoying crafting, blogging, and life as a mom and blogger, not a business woman. I understand that this is a big decision for you and is the best for you and your family. Oh and did I mention and am so excited to see you start blogging and crafting regularly! I look forward to your inspiration and for helping me realize I need to just enjoy the craft now! Thanks and good luck!

  122. I have always loved that your family & faith have been top priority in your life. While I loved your cute stamps and own every dvd, I most enjoy your posts and videos. You craft from your heart and that is what draws us all in.

  123. Hi Robin!!! This is a great decision and I'm so so excited for you!!!! I'm already loving the posts since this one. I did pick up a few stamps and some video from Custom Crops, because I do love your stamps and videos, but I completely understand your decision. A hobby is much more fun when it's not something you feel obligated to do. I think it changes your creativity entirely. Enjoy your kiddos and I hope they all have great first days of school and even better school years.

  125. Robyn, So happy for you and your family. Life does go on, sometimes we think it gets in the way from something we are chasing such as a business, etc...but you have known all along when your kids got a bit older how much you would be needed...I've been there, done that...an outsider can see it coming, but you have to know when it's time...you did. You are Blessed and so are we for knowing you. You are the reason I started my Blog as my very first post indicates. Thanks for all you do. Can't wait to see what you have in store for.
    God Bless!

  127. Good for you, sounds as if God is giving you some direction. Your children will be young for only so long. Infact I know how you feel. My blog was only scrapbooking and working with my Cricut machine. Now I have started just blogging, sewing projects and everyday life along with my scrapbooking projects. May God bless your family.

    Blessings,

  130. I don't remember what country song this line is from but I've always loved it.... "No one's tombstone ever read I wish I'd spent more time at work." Good for you for having the courage to make a difficult change. You can always work, but your kids only have one childhood. So happy to hear about your decision! Looking forward to having the "old" Robyn back!

  131. I commend you Robyn, it isn't easy to be both mother and business woman. Like you said you don't know where the time went, as your little one starts kindergarten. My mom still tells me that and I'm 31 lol. Looking forward to more of your videos they inspire my creativity.

  132. Robyn,
You mentioned that you used the Cricut Cartridge Preserves to make your garden stakes, but I think you meant the Freshly Picked Cartridge. They turned out fabulous! I want to make some for my garden....as soon as I buy that cartridge. Thanks for sharing your projects with us!!!

  134. You Go Robyn. Nothings more important than Family and being there for your children. So Proud of YOU! Not to worry. I'll still visit a lot, MPS or not. It's such a joy to read all that you are willing to share. Especially your walk in Faith. I love hearing from others who aren't afraid to share their Christian experiences. Dbl-Smooches... (I guess I better try and get those MPS stamps that I've been wanting)

  135. Robyn,

It is sad to hear that you will no longer be selling your products etc. I hope you continue to scrapbook and craft and post about it! You really inspired me to take on card making as a hobby. I do understand the need to spend time with our children though! Enjoy your time with them while you can and I will continue reading for your life updates! I enjoy those too!

  137. I know I am late to comment, but I had to read back to see why you were retireing. I just wanted to extend my support to your decision. My Husband and I were talking about a business whilst we were travelling to a scrapbook store, when we got there (it is a little family run store)the lady was talking about how hard it is nowadays, but also how she doesnt have time for her craft. Whilst I have alot of business experience.. I am ultimately an Artist, and I decided that that is exactly where I want to be. So I totally understand, I will miss buying from your business but I am happier to see Robyn, stamper, crafter, Artist, Mom and gardening/canning master! :) Just wanted to let you know I support you, and you are brilliant :D
