Looks yummy!! Love the variation of colors. :)xo,Tracy
That contraption is a neat way to fill up your cupcake cases!! I spoon mine in and make a big old mess. The end result looks yummy.
I really like the blue. Funny, I am not a fan of red velvet cake due to the red. LOL Now blue I would eat. These would be so cool for a beach themed gathering. So nice to know that you can substitute the color of dye.
Awesome idea for my little girl's #9 coming up in a couple weeks. She LOVES blue!! Going to check out & print the recipe :) By the way, it's so nice to have you back :)
Yum! There's nothing like a velvet cake from scratch! My mom used to make the Waldorf Astoria red velvet cake for my brother's and my bday. I'm guessing it's a similar recipe for the cake, but it has a different frosting. It's very yummy too. I'm sure your son loved his cupcakes!pawprints...
!!!!!Well my darling great recipes were just gonna have to call you BETTY CROCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, you have to share...where did you get that handy dispenser for the batter? I want one! Cute cupcakes!

Love that you are back to posting a lot Robyn and I am loving all the recipes! But like Staci, I want to know where you got that handy dandy gaget that holds the cake batter?!!! lol I NEED one of those too!
Thanks! Actually, one of my darling viewers gave it to me as a gift! Isn't it awesome? I don't use it for really thick batters but this recipe was perfect!
Wow. THose look like a yummy science experiment! Wish I lived closer. I'd totally knock on your door for a taste!!Dorcas
Those look great Robyn, I'm sure he loved them!!! Idea--I read on the Glorious Treats blog (visit her---incredible!!!) to use a large OXO brand cookie scoop (can buy on Amazon) for the perfect sized cupcakes!!!
When I first saw the picture of the blue stuff in your mixer - I thought omg what is she mixing up now I thought it was paint or something LOL. Then realized it was cake batter:-) They look so scrummy and I love that gadjet for putting the batter in the cases - awesome. TFS
They are awesome! What is the thing that you used to put the batter in the cupcake tin??
We all love the cupcakes but want the dispenser. Haha. I love it. Super cute.
What flavor is red or blue velvet cake? I have never had one - I think I would have to try red first though! What fun blue cupcakes for a little boy! I bet he loved them!Noelleherzigfam@yahoo.com
I too would love to have that dispenser! I make cupcakes all the time and have a messy mess on my hands when I finish!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Hi Robin.....Hmmmmm, they look yummy! Thanks for sharing! What is that item you were filling your cupcake tins with? Where do you get this...looks wonderful and makes a very messy job seem much cleaner! Please, impart the knowledge to me...Çathy (catpeltier at charter dot net! Thank you for your videos and your openness to share! Hugs & Blessings.
Well...isn't that the cutest gadget to fill a cupcake tin! Keeps everything cleaner. I love cupcakes as everyone gets the same size...no fighting. I helped my grandson make carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese icing this week. It was fun working with him...although he's a teenager, he's still a kid at heart.Barb from Toronto, Canada
I thought about..Hmmm..Blue?...lol...I do not know if I am ready for that..Maybe a taste..LOL...Looks Yummy!TFSMigdalia
So cute! Can you tell us what the make of the gadget is that you used? Would love to find one.
WOW they look yummy. I'm sure your son loved them along with your other cherubs. LOL Everyone including me wants one of those gadgets. I might have to search around. If not Walmart, Bed, Bath and Beyond must have them. I would think you should be able to get them in the baking section of stores but we'll see.
For everyone that is interested in the cupcake mix dispenser, I just Googled it and it comes up. Quite a few places have it. Robyn, thanks for the push, I just bought mini cupcake pans and have yet to use them. My son will enjoy these. :)
Sorry everyone but I just had to tell you all that Avon also sells the batter dispenser. You can use it for pancake batter also but like Robyn said, only if it's not too thick. :)
They look amazing!!! Cute idea!!!!
Those look as yummy as the red ones. I hope you don't mind if I share a link to Amazon that has the cupcake batter dispenser since so many of your readers have asked about it...It looks like it would be a big help and less mess. http://www.amazon.com/Chicago-Metallic-Essentials-Cupcake-Dispenser/dp/B003O47WSW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346183595&sr=8-1&keywords=cupcake+batter+dispenser
