Monday is my favorite day of the week! Weird, right? It is the day that our schedule for the week begins again and I get my house back in order. It's a very relaxing day. So far I have cleaned my kitchen and done two loads of laundry! I also played 1 1/2 hours of tennis early this am after I dropped my kids off. Now I am going to blog really quick, get back to laundry, and then make up a banana chocolate cupcake recipe for our Family Home Evening treat for tonight!

For teacher appreciation week I made a survival kit with all of our teacher's favorite goodies! I got one of those bead organizing containers (I think it had 12 compartments) and filled each little area with her favorite goodies. It was fun to do, easy for my son to help with and she loved it!

I love to make up bath gift bags for the teachers. Scented candles, bubble bath, wash clothes, pillow etc. So they can relax and take it easy! I try to find out their favorite scent first so they really enjoy it.

When my kids were little I was class mom for both kids all through elementary school as well as did all the coping and laminating for the whole school. I just loved being involved. I miss those days as my oldest graduates from OBU on Friday and my baby will be a SR at OU in the fall. Time sure flies by.
My favorite thing is to share my favorite drink with the kids teachers, we get them Starbuck $5 gift cards, enough for a lovely drink!

For teacher appreciation last year we had a week long celebration. Every day I would do something special for the teacher and the last day we gave them a BIG present. We bought them lunch, we had someone cover them for lunchtime, we had breakfast brought in...gave them prayer blessing books...just totally covered them with love.

I loved my middle son's 2nd grade (and then 5th grade,YEAH!!!) teacher!!! She loves her dogs very much, so I made her name frames for the three of them as a teacher gift :). I usually only made name frames for kids, so this was different but a lot of fun!!! Very CUTE if I do say so myself ;)

For teachers, I do lots of little things, but the thing they seem to like the best is supporting them as they help raise my children through teaching. So many parents bash the teacher and work against. How could one person possibly the needs of 20+ students and their parents and get it right each time! They work hard and deserve support!

Last week I made a huge card for all the kids in my nephews class to sign for his teacher's birthday! They loved being a part of signing it, they were so proud as if they had made it. Then I made a card from my parents, nephew, & me to go along with an African violet & a cupcake shaped balloon! My nephew was so proud to give her the flowers & balloon! His teacher even cried she was so surprised! It was a great day! I'm planning on a penicl bouquet with some other goodies!! <3 My nephew's teacher this year is truly amazing & we're very thankful for her!

I used to give the teachers the stereotyped apple. Sometimes it was a pretty basket of apples and sometimes it was apple shaped containers filled with goodies.
When I taught Sunday School my kids brought me little gifts through out the year just because. That was 30 years ago and I still have a few things.
This is so great!! I love to buy the gifts for my daughter gets to take. But my daughter Alivia is going to make her teacher a thank you card (with a little help from mom)Alivia is having a hard time deciding what stamp of yours she wants to use. i home school but we meet every 1/4 with a teacher to evaluate so at the begging we bring her a apple and at the end of the year we give a thank you note with candy.
I am going to make a mini album for my daughters to give to her 1st grade teacher and give it to her the last day of school. Wanted to give it to her sooner but I wanted to include photos from their field day which isnt till the 25th. I have taken photos of almost every event this year and thought it would be a great gift for her teacher to have. :)

I have 9 kids ranging in age from 49 - 7 . 7 are adopted. Each year I make small Holiday tokens for each of the teachers. Most of my "kids" are grown and have moved out but I do still have 3 young ones at home.
The last thing I made was small crocheted, filled Easter baskets. I make them for each teacher, past and present. If I happen to know who their teacher will be next year, I include them too.
I am currently working on filled sour cream containers (made from scrapbook paper). I think I am going to trust the kids to make the cards this year. They are now 7, 8 and 9 so I think they can use the Cricut, supervised!!! Wish us luck !

Being a former PTO member, we have set up a Mexican themed week and hung pinatas, mexican hats, and streamers, made chili and salsa and chips and salad, breakfast day with yogurt, bagels, and fruit, chocolate day, charming gift bags, baskets of essentials for the teachers rest rooms... always a lot of fun and wonderfully appreciated! thanks for the great giveaway!!
Since I still have non-school aged children at home, I make make bulletin boards kits using my cricut. The teachers are so appreciative, and the other volunteers who are able be at the school love them to because they don't have to come up with the idea!
This year my children all helped make the Teacher Appreciation gifts. I was so proud of them! We purchased sticky note-pads and made cute covers with different images from our cricut. Then we simply used our bind-it-all to bind the covers together and stuck a mini gel pen in the top of each note pad. It was a simple gift, but something my children were all able to help with. Hopefully, their teachers will love it!

When my son was in kindergarten a few years ago, he's teacher moved to a new house eariler that year and she mentioned that she missed her butterfly bush at her old house. So we went and got her one so that she could once again enjoy watching butterflys with her morning coffee.
One year I made a cross-stitch sampler for my daughter's teacher, and she still has it on display, even years later. As for other gifts, I often buy gift cards for book stores, office supply stores, etc. As a teacher myself, I know how often teachers spend their own money on classroom supplies. The gift cards allow them to buy the supplies they need without spending their own money.
I no longer have school age children. The custom when my kids were in school was money was collected & a gift card was given, usually to a Nice restraunt.

When I was in college I did some volunteer work at an elementary school to help the teacher with 2 of her more challenging students. I did this for 6 weeks and worked with the 2 students 2 days of week so she could work with the other students. I enjoyed it very much but I don't think I could be a teacher.

I try to find out something that the teacher likes and get a personalized gift card along with a handmade card. If I don't have luck with the gift card, a nice little stationery set is always a great gift! Teachers always love pretty note cards and sticky notes!

Well it has been awhile since i have had to do anything for teachers, but my Best friend is a 1st grade teacher and I help her each each make Moether's day gift's for her students to give to their Momma, so I guess that would be how I help or give to a teacher, she is awesome....
I have done anything from gift cards to potted flowers. It is always fun to show the teachers they are appreciate.
I don't have children but i have teacher friends. So i use my cricut to help them decorate their rooms through out the year.

I don't have any children but in grade six, 1988, I gave my teacher, Mr. McMann a hand made card. This teacher changed my life and I am forever grateful for his influence in my life. I also find it funny that even in 1988 I enjoyed paper crafting!
Not having kids *yet* I haven't done a lot. But my husband's mom is an SAT prep teacher and helps a LOT of kids get so much better so I made the note cards (with My Pink Stamper stamps of course) for her to send home with her students for fun! She really enjoyed them and because she isn't a "normal teacher" doesn't really get things for teacher appreciation week! So it tickled her *pink*!
Last year I made each of my 3 grandkids teachers a simple quilted bookbag and apliqued their name on them. I guess Im not very creative LOL

Ms. Carolyn is my daughter’s afternoon pre school teacher. I just love and appreciate all of the teachers at her school but Ms. Carolyn is truly a jewel. I guess she is what they would call today “Old School”, she means business but she is also very caring. Ms Carolyn has been out for over 9 months now and may have to have back surgery. I know how difficult that can be. So I try to do what I can to keep her spirits up. I always remind my daughter to pray for Ms Carolyn and make sure we include her for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day and just because. We send her our home made cards of good well wishes and home made cookies and a card for Christmas, a treat bags for Halloween and Valentines day. We want her to know she is appreciated, and not forgotten. It’s also teaching my 4 year old to be compassionate and thoughtful to others, especially to those who care for her.
this was over 40 years ago so giving gifts like today was not really done, but we help out by volunteering in the school to give help as needed. I would love the cartridge and so would my granddaughters, but I would be thrilled to win a stamp set thanks for this chance

Sending a card to a teacher in Florida that I know. She has 2 boys and is on her own. She gives so much to them and her other children that she teaches. I have no children so I try to give to those that do a wonderful sometimes "Thankless" job. Thanks for the giveaway and good luck to everyone.
Last year I used Rock Princess to decorate my grandsons classroom door....used the theme Mrs. Harvey rocks.
When my daughter was in first grade and I asked all the kids to write why they loved their teacher on hearts that I'd cut out and sent home with them. It turned out very sweet.
Years ago me and my kids made our own Rose Petal Potpourri. We put it in mason jars. We replaced the flat metal part of the lid with a piece of needlepoint plastic mesh cut into a circle to allow the scent to escape. The kids each embellished the jars with ribbon and such. They work great anywhere... the teacher's desk, a closet shelf, a drawer, nightstand or endtable.

When my daughter was in school the parents one day of Teacher Appreciation week the parents brought pot luck and provided a meal for all of the teachers. Mothers would cover for the teacher so that she could enjoy her meal and not have to hurry back to her classroom.--Ryansmaama

A few things we've done are paper clips and staple refills for "keeping it together", pack of post it "leaving a note to say thanks", expo markers "for having all the write stuff", etc. We end the week with a gift tied to an apple "becasue teachers don't survive on apples alone". I've always gotten really heartfelt thanks from our teachers :)

Well I think the coolest thing that ever happened to me was while I was a volunteer teaching assistant (so helping a teacher).
I was asked to make a picture of a flower (my first venture into paper piecing) I made a flower and all the labels of the parts of the flower etc.
I gave the flower to the teacher I was working with to use (who was the deputy head of the school) the regular class teacher actually kept it because she said it was the best thing she'd ever seen).
I actually wanted to use it for my coursework as evidence but ended up letting her keep it, I never got around to making another for my work.
She's an amazing teacher and she is now teaching my son so I'm hoping he's gotten to use it in class too.

We did a little book of why each kid was thankful for that particular teacher. It was really sweet the thought the kids put into it. Needless to say the teacher got a bit teary on us. The poor kids thought they had hurt her feelings.
I always get mini oreos and dip them in the red wilton candy coating. Stick 1/2 of a stick pretzel in the side with a little piece of green airhead so they look like mini apples! Soo cute and they taste fantastic too. Then we put them in a mason jar and make a cute label to go along with it. The teachers always love them!!! Thanks for the chance to win Robin!
We had teacher appreciation week last week. Found on pinterest but thought this was just an adorable idea. Made a small bucket (target $1
bins...love) and filled with smarties then wrapped with cellophane and a bow and tied a sharpie marker. Note attached read "thanks for making us all smarties and sharpies this year"!!! Very well received and super easy!!!

I bought a clear glass vase at Ikea today and some flowers for my son's kindergarten teacher. I may see about decorating the vase somehow, but since I already have the flowers I can't take too much time to figure out what I'm doing with it!

Love to win. When my kids were little...I always baked for their teachers as gifts. I'm a big Christmas baker...I would make up large trays. My kids are a year apart in school...they each had the same teacher for 2 years...ie we had the same teacher to bake for ...for 4 years. She was sad to see them move on...she said...I haven't had to bake for Christmas for 4 years...now I'll have to...gasp! Lee-Ann :)
I have made a few scrapbooks along the way for a few of my children's very special teachers. I would include pictures of the students throughout the year & classroom events. The scrapbooks were a huge hit!

I am a teacher so things I have done have been to do a teacher's duty. I also have made small scrapbooks for teachers that have retired with pictures of there years at that school, their class and letters and keepsakes from students.

I try to make things throughout the year for our kids teacher. Like back to school, I made a 3D apple, halloween a cute little pillow box filled with candy, Christmas, valentine's etc. I like to make mugs full of cute little cutouts on pencils so they can use the pencils later and the mug during the school year. Etc. So I don't just do once a year...I try to let them know throughout the year that they are thought of and appreciated. :-)
I had six kids in elementary school at one time so I did a lot of volunteer work. I also had a great garden with lots of yummy veggies and the teachers loved getting those and some homemade bread and some fruit from our trees. We still keep in touch with a couple of the teachers and my kids are all close to 50. those were good times. Miss all the teachers. Regina

This year it is harder because yesterday around 4:30 she was riding her horse and suddenly got hit by a truck both her and the horse passed away. So we are making the same thing the book but we are going to give It to her family so they know how much she meant to us and how she touched our lives.

When my children were young they didn't really do anything for the teachers, I've just hearing about this in the last couple of years! But we always gave the teachers something for Christmas. One year I made school house with plastic canvas, yarn and a note pad, or a Kleenex box for there desk. I've only been scrap-booking seen January this year. I have used a lot of your ideas in card making, I love watching your videos and just started being there on your live blog hops!
When my kids were school age I was a room mother for some of the years. I would make little treats and other things for them Also all the other moms would get together and we would buy a gift certificate so that she could get something she liked. Those were the days.

This year we had a homebound tutor coming to the house for part of the year. She has become a friend and gone above and beyond what the school district paid her for. I plan to make a card and include a sushi gift certificate.

Well, don't know if this counts or not, but here goes. I don't have any children of my own, but I am a teaching assistant, so each year I make a book for the teacher I work with. It's pretty basic, photos throughout the year, with the kids signing "their" page. It also includes some of the children's quotes. Another thing I have done in the past is take pictures of the artwork and make them into notecards. They turn out adorable.

As my daughter's preschool class mom, I played roving photographer throughout the year and made a photo "yearbook" at the end of the term, using an online service. It was a great gift for the teacher and I was able to print a copy for my daughter, too!

I don't have kids,but when I was a kid, we used to have an older lady down the streeet that made all kinds of ceramics (the glazed Christmas tress that lit up were my favorites). Browsing through her huge basement was so much fun. That's where we got all my teachers' gifts. So I didn't make them but the gifts were actually homemade!

We homeschool but we do belong to a co-op. Co-op is over already. At Christmas I always make a gift for each of my sons teachers. Usally cookies or something. And somehow get my Cricut involved :-). And always something special for my helper as we do not get paid and teach 21, 5-7 yo children. Teachers are wonderful. They each make the world a better place.
Yeah, Teacher appreciation week! I love this week because I can give back to teachers. I am a 4th grade teacher, but my favorite part of this week is to help my children's teachers in their classrooms. I like to take time out of my schedule for them. My kids have a lot of fun with Teacher appreciation week. We've decorated packages of classroom supplies, framed wordart, made cute pencil boxes and made pens into flowers.
We are doing a basket for our teachers this year with a goodie from each letter of the alphabet. A- Apple, P- Pie, S - Sonic Gift Card etc. Its a ton of fun seeing what people have signed up for. My kids and I are doing the gathering and we'll put together the basket on Thursday night to present to the teachers on Friday.
Last year my son and I crafted a pencil holder/vase and filled it with green and blue flowers, with a cute card, and matching ribbon.
I don't have any kids so I don't have any teacher gifts to do. Thanks for the chance to win!

I am a teacher, so I can say it's so nice when someone takes the time to let you know how much they appreciate your efforts in helping children. One of my most favorite memories is from earlier this school year. I had one student who just didn't understand long division. I worked with him on it, and he started to catch on. He passed a quiz over division, and he told me thank you because without my help, he would never have gotten it. It is moments like that that make me so glad I chose the profession I did. There is nothing better than helping a child see his/her worth. :0)
Because it is Teacher Appreciation week, I put some small 3x3 cards together for my the teachers at my school. I used the crayon image from Simply Charmed and a notebook paper embossing folder. There is a quote on the inside that says, "The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery." I love how they turned out, and I can't wait to share them with my fellow teachers to show how much they are appreciated in our community. :0)

Our teacher appreciation was last week. My friend had a great idea which I stole and ran with. I created a movie night basket. I bought a popcorn bucket at dollar store, filled with popcorn, candy and 5 rentals for redbox. Created a cute tag with MPS stamps and viola! Both teachers sent me personal notes thanking me for the great gift. Its a winner for sure and one I can redo each year.
I LOVE Teacher Appreciation Day!! My kids' teachers are so amazing, and I truly do appreciate them all. Especially my 8 year old son's teacher.....he has Asperger's, and his teacher is AMAZING...goes out of her way to help him adjust to different situations and with coming up with solutions to help him out during difficult times. After hearing stories of what other's have went through with their schools that their autistic children are in, it makes me appreciate her even more!
This year I borrowed an idea I discovered on the blog of none other than My Pink Stamper!! (I believe it was Cricut Series Video #11....I THINK). Anyhow, I made a stack of monogrammed notecards (10 each) for each of my youngest 3's teachers...Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade....with their first initial and their fav color & black. I LOVE how they turned out! We gave them to the teachers this morning, and I think they really liked them! For my oldest son, who is in middle school and has 5 different teachers, I made a goodie bag with some yummy treats inside for each of them. I need to get a picture of everything uploaded still, but I really enjoyed how everything turned out!

My sons 5th grade teacher was farmer in our community and always told the kids of his farm tails, and loved when the kids would ask about the farm. His name was McDonald and I decided that I would make a plastic canvas tissue holder in the shape of a barn and put McDonald above the barn door. He absolutely love it. When my son went back to his grade school after college he stopped in to see Mr McDonald and he had to call me to tell me that the tissue holder was still being used in his classroom.

I always would stay after school to help my favorite teacher day after day, because I wanted to and she was such a blessing in my life. In return she gave me the top award for a 6th grade class at that time. Since my youngest in 8th grade this year, it almost feels like it is the end of all the fun stuff at school. We made fun treat bags for all of his teachers and some of his favorite teachers during the past 9 years at school. I can't wait to send them to school on Friday.
As a teacher, I have been blessed by many sweet gifts from parents and students. Now that my girls have started school and I have a Cricut, my favorite gift that I've made is using an inexpensive metal bucket and putting personalized vinyl on it with some soaps and lotions inside.
This is the first year that my Grandson has been in School. I am making his Teacher a Card and some homemade gifts! Thanks for the chance to win! :0)

Gosh, my child is 40 today (Happy Birthday Joe)! It's been a few years since he was in school. I'm old and can't remember what I did for his teachers back in the 70's and 80's! Can I still enter to win?

I made my daughter's preschool teachers little purses cut from the Forever Young cart and then I filled them with a lip gloss and nail polish. They loved them!
Congrats!!! I haven't had to do anything for my kid's teachers yet ( too young still yay! ), but when I was younger my mom had this big beautiful blooming bush that she would clip flowers off of and we would wrap a wet paper towel around the bottom of the stems and take them to school that way! Thanks so much!

You wont believe this. I went to pick up my daughter today and Ms. Carolyn was there. She was near tears and cleaning out her room. She isnt coming back. I am so bummed.

I have volunteered to help many teachers in the past, and perhaps the most fun was helping my daughter's 3rd grade teacher decorate a hole for an indoor putt putt course. Ours won! Mrs. Brown was the best teacher, and worth all the work I put into that project.

I have not had the opportunity to give to a teacher since I don't have children but my job (I work as an administrator in a preschool)has given me opportunities to spoil our teachers. This year we picked a paint theme so they are going to be getting a decorated paint can with paint cards that have notes the parents wrote on.

I haven't made any teacher appreciation gifts, but I am a teacher so I thought I would tell you about the best gifts I have recieved. I have gotten a packet of seeds with a paper flower and a tag that read, "Thanks for helping me grow," a box of gummy bears with a ballon that read, "Thanks for all you do, " and six Hershey's kisses roses. What makes it even more special is that I teach middle school, so these kids make an effort to get these things just for me :-D

We have teachers and therapists at the school I work at, and actually 5 women were/are pregnant. I made cards for all of them for our big baby shower celebration. The staff was able to sign all the cards.

I may have to sneak a peek on my smartphone in the bathroom at work.......don't usually do that, but I don't know if I can wait until I get home from work to find out about your new stuff!
At my kids school we have staff appreciation week.So we decorated a panel and added the week schedule. Today I baked some muffins for breakfast and other parents brought juice. Tomorrow we'll have a snack around 10 am with chips and dips and pop. I made some cute little bags with peppermint patties for "after"snack saying: Thank you for your Commit-Mint!Tomorrow they'll get a gift card, Thursday's lunch and Friday is a special gift. A freezable cup filled with goodies. I hope they liked it.
Baked goods are always a good treat that I like to do for the teachers. But I also like to do some kind of GC for them too.

I always made sure that we did something special through out the year for the teachers in my kids lives. My mother was a teacher for 32 years and I know how hard they work. Just because they leave the campus doesnt mean that they are done working. Mindy1qc@msn.com
