Happy Friday & a Winner

Hello Everyone!

I cannot believe it is Friday already!  My kids only have 1 1/2 weeks of school left.  Where has this year gone?  Time is seriously flying by so fast.  Next year all 5 of my children will be in school all day!  No more picking up my baby boy (who is 5) in the middle of the day.  Boo hoo!  What will I do with all that time??

We had our big match against the number 1 ranked USTA tennis team and lost.  You have to win 3 out of the 5 courts but we lost all 5.  We all did our best and they had to work hard for their win as we were not giving up.  I played singles against their number one singles player and held my own.  It was really fun and I feel like I made a new friend in the process.  Life is not always about winning, in fact, most of the time it isn't about winning!  LOL!  I looooooove meeting new people and making friends.  So much fun!

Tonight we have the Couples Conference at my church and I am the person they asked to coordinate the event.  We have a marriage and family therapist coming to chat with all the husband and wives.  This is his 2nd visit.  The first event we did back in February was so fun we asked him to come back.  After all, it is FREE therapy!  I love it!  If any of you live in OKC and would like to stop in, it is in Guthrie.  You can leave a comment below and I will e-mail you the address.  That is what I've been working on this week!  Here is a picture of the invitation I made to had out at church.  I made almost 100 of these so that is why they are super simple.

Today I made the most yummiest ORANGE cupcakes to take tonight for one of the desserts.  This is my oldest daughter's recipe and I cannot share it.  She reluctantly gave it to me to use!  She almost said NO!  LOL!!  But, they are the BEST cupcakes EVER!!  Here is a hint....  I used the 1 tsp orange zest and a fresh squeezed orange in the frosting.  I bet you can figure that out if you make cupcakes.  :)
I have been thinking of videos a lot lately and I know I have slowed down quite a bit.  No worries, though, life will be different next year with ALL of my children in school all day.  This year has been crazy with a child only going to school for 2 1/2 hours.  I need to make a birthday bag tonight to give to my friend tomorrow for her bday.  I will be sure to share pics if it turns out cute.

Okay, here is our winner of the Rock Princess Cricut Cartridge & Pinka-licious MPS Stamps!

When my kids were young, I invited their teachers to lunch the week after school closed. My kids loved it.....they got to be with their teacher all by themselves. Their teachers loved it too....they could go to lunch without it seeming like favoritism ........ school was closed and my children were no longer in their class room.

  1. The cupcakes look delish;) I'm sure you'll find something to do when your lil goes to school fulltime in the Fall. I have 4 children & next year they will all be in different schools & the 3 oldest have activities. 1 in High School, 1 in Middle School, 1 in Elementary School & 1 in Pre-School.
