Episode 307 - Friends Make Life Bearable Card

Hello Everyone!

It is Tuesday and here is the video I promised!!  I made this Saturday when my hand was feeling much better. I won't tell you how my hand/arm feels today or you might want to lecture me on taking it slow.  Believe me, I've learned my lesson and am going to relax my arm completely today.  In fact, I just took all my kids to school and think I will lay down for a short nap.  I woke up today with sharp pains in my hand, which probably means it is in the healing process.  You know how it usually gets worse right before it gets better?  I will be fine, so no worries about me!!  I have a lot of help around here.

Hope you enjoy this video!  Sorry about the quality of the picture below.  I only had my phone in my office to take the picture.  :)

Now, that is the cutest stinkin' card!! I was searching your blog last night looking for inspiration for a cute friend card. I saw both other cards you made using this cute little bear and had just decided to use that cut to create a similar card with my Best Images of 2010 cart. Then this morning I saw this card and was immediately inspired with EXACTLY what I wanted to do!! Thank you for sharing your creations with us and for providing a never ending supply of inspiration!!

  10. You know, you are the reason I started card-making? Really. I bought my Cricut because of your videos. I always love your clean and simple style, and this card is no exception. :)

Sprains are awful, BTW. I sprained my ankle a couple of years ago, and the doc informed me that sprains are far more painful than breaks. eeep! Praying for quick healing for you. :)

  11. Cute card...she'll love it. Secondly...really go slow with that hand. As Mom's...I think we all rush it. I did that with my shoulder...thought it was better...and I paid for it with pain and limited mobility for almost 7 weeks. Now I really make sure things are better before I start trying to lift anything heavy or even awkward. take care...Lee-Ann :)

  26. ROBYN...it is so hard to keep from wanting to do things with your hand. But now you know you have to give it more time. You can always just do a video where you just talk about card making ideas etc. without having to do any demonstating. I know we would all love just hearing from you!!!
    Get well hugs

  28. Robyn, Such a cute little card...lucky Karlee. You mentioned something like(not verbatim)the Cuttlebug wasn't made for lefties...I'm lefthanded and I thought it was made just for me...lol. It actually works great, just giving you a hard time. You did very well for limited use of a limb. You'll be back before you know it...then lookout!
    Thanks for another great video.
    Take care!
