Quick Bunny Card - Create a Critter

Hello Everyone!!

I made this card in about 5 minutes the other morning for my son.  This month they are writing letters to the Easter Bunny so we thought we would make a card.  I think it turned out pretty darn cute for a 5 minute card and kids screaming "HURRY MOM" from downstairs!  LOL!

You all know that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Create a Critter, right??  I love it so much that I designed 3 Stamp Sets that work with it, along with other cartridges with fun animals!  You can check out the Punny-licious Collection HERE if you haven't seen it yet.

Happy Sunday!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are having the best Sunday EVER!  It's actually been a pretty good one around here.  Let me share!

Today during my singing time in the Primary I did a little review game for the kids and it got a little CRAZY!  Usually I like to keep the kids very reverent, while teaching them gospel priciples through song and music.  Well, today, since they have already learned all 3 songs for the year so far, I thought we would get a little wild.  LOL!  Okay, so as wild as you can get while at church and still have the churchy atmosphere.  :)  With the older kids I played a fun game called "Hide the Foot".  I had a foot that was cut with the Cricut and one child would hide it and another would have to find it.  We would sing soft when they were far away and get louder as the child got closer to finding it.  For one of the older kids, I slyly taped the foot on their back when they weren't looking.  We were singing LOUD the entire time and I almost couldn't get through the song I was laughing so hard.  The song was perfect for this kind of activity.  It is about how we are taught that we should always "Be True" and "Stand for the Right".  Last week I started out the lesson by asking them what it meant to Stand for the Right.  I got a lot of great answers.  Sometimes the children teach me more than I ever teach them.  :)

This past Monday night we were able to have the Sisters, who are serving full time missions for our church, over for dinner.  We had a wonderful gospel discussion at the dinner table and I realized how blessed I am to have them in my life.  What a selfless thing it is for them to give up 1 1/2 years (the young men serve for 2 years) of their young lives to serve the Lord full time.  I only wish I had that opportunity when I was younger but I decided to get married after I joined the LDS church.  Hopefully my husband and I will get the opportunity to serve a mission together sooner rather than later.  LOL!  I guess we need to finish raising our kids first.  :)

Yesterday I was driving to Sam's Club and there was a homeless woman on the side of the road with a sign that said "Sick of Life".  It really struck a cord with me and my heart went out to her.  She couldn't have been more than 22 years old.  I said a silent prayer for her and hoped that she would find a reason to find joy in life someday and that it all would work out for her.  There was a time in my life when I was around 19 or 20 when I was very close to being where she is.  I am so grateful that circumstances changed for me and I was able to get out of the rut I was in during that time in my life.  It is so easy for us to judge others and say how we would do things differently if we were them but until you walk in someone else's shoes you will never know.  Life is hard but it is soooooo worth it!

Below I wanted to share 5 of the biggest blessings in my life.  Yes, it is very LOUD, CRAZY, and CHAOTIC most of the time but I would not have it any other way.  I was able to find a way out of the life that I was leading and get on a path that will lead me to places I want to be and with the people I love.

I truly hope you are all having a very peaceful day.  I want you all to know how grateful I am for YOU and the love & support you show me.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers daily.  :)

Happy Birthday My Sweet Boy!

Hey Guys!

I just wanted to dedicate my post today to my sweet little boy, Andrew, who turns 9 today.  He is my 3rd child and the first of my 3 boys.  I cannot believe he is 9.  I remember when he was born and it really does seem like yesterday.

I remember that when I found out I was having a boy, after having 2 girls, I cried.  Not because I was excited but because I was scared.  All of my sisters 4 children were girls and I did not think I could manage a little boy.  Would I love him as much as I loved my little girls.  Would the diaper thing gross me out?  (LOL)  I quickly got over my apprehension and got used to the fact that I was having a boy.  When he was born at the hospital all of my fears disappeared as I realized that I DID love this little angel just as much as I loved my little girls.  I have continued to love and cherish him.  Yes, boys are LOUD, CRAZY, WILD, and did I mention LOUD??  I would not have had it any other way.  My little Andrew has brought so much joy into my life.  He has a gentle spirit who has always been aware if others are sad.  Every time I am upset or cry, he is the first one there to rub my back and speak softly.  He has been like that since he was 2 or 3.  I am so blessed that he and all of my other 5 children are in my life.  Here are some cute pics I found to share.  :)

Isn't he the cutest little blonde 1 year old??

One of the funniest things he used to do when he was two was stick his thumb up and say "You got it, dude!"  Just like Michelle on Full House.

He is my only child out of 5 who has my blue eyes.  The other 4 got my husband's brown eyes.

When he turned 8 last year he was baptized into our church.  A very special moment in our lives.

What a handsome young man he is!

I took this early this morning for our traditional "Birthday Breakfast in Bed".  As you can see, that is MY bed he is in.  Yep, he still gets in mommy & daddy's bed in the middle of the night.  I wonder when that will stop?  LOL!

Thank you so much for letting me share this very special day with you.  Now I've got to get busy finishing up his goodie bags that I need to bring to his school in about an hour and a half!!!  I will make sure I share those when I finish.

I love you Andrew!!
