100 Dresses Relief Society Invitations

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful day!  We had our children's program during the first hour of church today.  Since I no longer work with the children's music on Sunday's it was a little sad for me.  I miss those sweet darlings so much but it was so great watching them sing.  They did a fantastic job!

I was asked if I would make 65 invitations to one of our Relief Society events that is coming up.  The Relief Society is our women's organization in our church.  You can read more info if you would like to know more HERE.  It's hard to explain it.  :)

I had so much fun making these simple invitations.  The theme of the night is 100 Dresses which, I guess, is a book (I haven't read it yet, though).  Every one of my invites had a different patterned dress on the front.  I had a huge pile of scraps that I just happened to be going through, too, which worked out perfect!

The dress is from Formal Occasion Cricut Cartridge.  They are 4x4 cards.  The info for the RS event is on the back with the time, date, theme, etc.

Hope you all have a GREAT night!  I have 2 special guests flying in from New York to see me tomorrow and Tuesday.  Be sure to check back often as I will try to post a little video for you guys when they arrive.  We are going to be working on some AWESOME stuff that will be released very shortly!  Believe me, they are worth the wait!  LOL!

Can I just say that since I announced that I wouldn't be posting on here as often as I had been that I've posted more in the past few days than I have in weeks!!  LOL!  I guess that is how it works out, huh??

REMINDER to all my UTAH viewers!  I will be in Spanish Fork NEXT Saturday at a craft fair.  I will have my STAMPS available for cash or check purchase.  Karlee and I would love to meet you so please stop by.  We are meeting for dinner on Saturday night if you'd like to attend.  Only a few seats left so hurry and send my sister an e-mail if you'd like to attend.  christyhoughton455@hotmail.com.

  10. These are adorable...although it looks like a lot of work to make so many out of scraps. Sometimes I just prepare different mats with different papers and keep cutting the same thing. This is cute. Now, Go get the book!

  12. The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes is a simple little book about bullying. You did a great job with the invitations, capturing pefectly the idea of a book you've never read! :)

  19. Wow, you are like super woman! You just wwhip out these big projects like it's nothing, when I take hours on one card. I would love to know how you do it! They look fabulous & the fact that you were able to use your scraps is awesome! Wish I could come meet you all, but I live too far away, wish something, anything like this would come to VA, it's very boring here!
