Episode 291 - I Heart School (School Days Stamps!)
Happy Friday Everyone!
Wow! It seems that ever since school has started, I have been going and going! I'm still getting up each morning and making a hot breakfast along with packing all the kids lunches this year. I cannot believe I went so many years without doing this. We can really feel the difference in our mornings. What a GREAT & positive change. I've also taken on a couple hobbies just for me while the kids are all in school in the morning before I pick my 4 year old up. I bought a CUTE pink road bike and am starting to bike with a group of girls some mornings and I am playing tennis with some friends, too. It funny because the busier I am, the more I get done.
I still need to get either padded biking shorts or a gel seat cover for my bike as I am a bit sore from my first ride yesterday. It was REALLY hard but now I cannot wait to do it again!
Today was my daughter's first year of 8th grade Cross Country. She did FABULOUS and was so excited that she was not last place this year. She has gone up 5 and I know that she will continue to place higher and higher. Today was tough because it was 100 degrees outside and all the kids were super hot!
Okay, on to my latest QUICK video! I hope you enjoy it!!
My Pink Stamper School Days Stamp Set was used. Click HERE to order it from a retailer!
Have a GREAT weekend everyone!! We have my husband's brother and his family coming to stay until Tuesday. Going to be SUPER fun!!!

Great video, and enjoy your bike:) Sandra H
Great video and cute card! Love the pink bike. You might look at this site bontrager.com they have WSD seats Women SPECFIC Design seats. This is what I got on my trek and I LOVE IT!. I rode 8 miles one day and it was not painful at all. If you find a retailer who carrys this brand you can go in person to look.
Great job! I'm glad to hear you're sticking with the hot breakfast. I always loved when my Mom cooked me breakfast growing up. Can't wait til I have kids to do such things for. That card is super cute! http://scrappeningplace.blogspot.com

I was so happy to see you had made a video... I have missed seeing you my friend. I brought a bike about 2 years ago and was riding it till I fell off of it... :-( now I am not riding it anymore.. (my dh told me when I brought it that I wouldn't ride it very long. I hate it when he's right. lol)
I love your cute little card. hugs from ukiah
I would recommend both the gel seat and the biker shorts!

Your bike is awesome!!! I can't wait to get mine out of the bike shop (it's on layaway). It's a hybrid bike--I like it cause I sit upright rather than hunched over. It's a Giant Cypress. My hubs and I took up biking a couple months ago and we go about 20 miles on Saturdays and 3 miles during the weekdays. We love it...so much fun to do together :) Happy Trails

I want to say that it is a "fangtastic" thing your doing, being a sponsor of the Labor of Love blog hop.

Is that a Jamis bike??? I was about to buy a super cute baby blue one until I settled on a my Felt. I would recommend getting some Pearl Izumi shorts that are designed for women. Sometimes the extra padding that is in the mens/unisex shorts make it harder with chaffing, that is why I only buy the womens version. Good luck, soon you'll graduate to clip in pedals (if you haven't already) and be riding 20+ miles before you know it!!! Hope your daughter enjoyed her first CC meeting tonight.
What an adorable card! I love that it was so quick to make. As a teacher, I would love to receive a card like this! :)
Cute video and card! Have fun with your visitors!!
liking the chalkboard look on the tag!

Love the idea of biking with other ladies. I had the same problem with my bike. And I finally went to walmart and found a gel seat. Just replaced the whole seat, made a huge difference. Love the pink bike!

I love that cards another great job.
We love to ride. You will get used to it. One thing you might try is to push your seat down a little bit in the front. We did that to mine and it was so much better. Good luck and have fun.
Very cute and simple card.

Cute card. Kudos to you for taking time for yourself and your family. I love that you are taking the time to make a hot breakfast and lunches for your kids. I need to be better at scheduling time for me to exercise. My grandkids eat a hot breakfast and lunch at school because I work and my daughter is in school but it is so important to take the quality time with your children. We craft together.

The bike seat I have is just for my butt. you know the pointy part that is usually there... I don't have that so I just have this wide part and it is so comfortable I love it so much... the seat is made by schwinn

Great quick card!
I'm always looking for ideas for a last minute, quick card to make. Love this one. Thanks for sharing.
Robyn,
Thank you for sharing with us this wonderful video. I have to say that I respect your decision to focus on family and yourself. You are a very special person and I enjoy your videos and posts however - what I enjoy most about you is your dedication to be a good wife and a good mother.
I decided to stop the "madness" myself. I actually timed myself one day - I spent way too much time on the internet. I was following so many blogs and commenting ect. I have decided to cut back on that time.
Life is way too short - I need to enjoy that time! To focus on my family. I need to focus on doing Gods work - whatever/wherever he guides me.
Thank you Robyn - for all you do!
Hugs!
Super cute card Robyn! Tanner and I are laughing because you really ARE a perfectionist! Love you!
Robyn- Check out the seats by Terry. I have a butterfly seat and it rocks. I also second the comment about Pearl Izumi's women's shorts. I love the Sugar Short and wear them all the time (for rides up to a century). A good seat and shorts help but there's nothing like time in the saddle to condition your butt...for rides longer than 30 miles I usually use Chamois butt'r also. Helps prevent chafing!
