Episode 290 - Product Review - Cricut Storage Binder

Hello Everyone!

I hope your Thursday is fantastic so far!!  I am SUPER tired and SORE from my big workout yesterday.  I went to the gym today but my heart wasn't in it so I left after 10 minutes.  At least I tried though, right??

I thought I would do a quick product review for you guys on the Cricut Storage Binder.  I ordered mine from Hallmark Scrapbook and LOVE it!!
Thanks for all the great French Toast recipes yesterday!  I decided to go with the Pepper Ridge Farms Cinnamon Swirl bread dipped in egg with vanilla.  I then sprinkled cinnamon on the top.  My kids all loved them!  We also had Hash Browns with I have NEVER made!!  LOL!!  We topped the meal off with Fat Free Chocolate Milk.  YUM!

  3. I don't know why you're ashamed of the blue nails! I have that same color and do wear it...I'm almost 30. It's pretty! Girls gotta have fun! :D

I was debating on this binder. Thanks or showing it!

  6. Don't be embarrassed by blue nails. In fact, I was going to ask you to wear teal nails during the month of Sept to promote ovarian cancer awareness. You would be doing a great service to all your followers.

  7. I just painted my nails (while watching your old videos) a Sally Hansen color of Marine Scene, which was a toss up between that and the totally teal, but the colors are so similar. I paint my toenails because it stays on better there than on my fingernails. Plus when I am barefoot it is cute! Thanks for showcasing the Cricut binder, looks like a great idea for the seasonal carts, like you suggested.

  9. Yummmy that breakfast looks so good!! I just might have to try that one day. Thanks for showing the storage binder. That's another thing on my wish list. I was wondering if you didn't mind making a video on the cuttlebug using the diecut folder. I'm getting a cuttlebug here soon and would really like to know how the diecut part works. Thanks you so much!! Dalia

  13. I was wondering about this binder, wasn't sure how I felt about it. Thanks for showing it to us. It always helps to use it in use when trying to decide!!!

  14. yummy breakfast - much better than working out! Love those storage binders, especially w/the cricut logo; but if you have lots of carts and that only holds 12 it can get expensive and bulky. I prefer artbin/cricut storage organizer from scrapbookcorner.com they hold 16 at one time w/the books. I know you probably have to promote cricut, but if they made one that help more - I would get it. This one is plastic and can be stored easily. Just a thought. thank you.

  15. I really like the binder. We need a fun way to see at a glance what we have stored in it though. It would be a pain to have several and have to open them up to find what you're looking for. Any ideas?

I LOVE the blue nails.. my favorite color!

    Fantastic review.. thank you!!

  17. I know how you feel about they gym, it's hard for me to go at times, but it's not about the quality it's about the dedication you shown by going. This is my 1st post and I wished I could have grabbed the picture of the french toast off the page, I'm sure your kids will love the breakfast time with you.My husband made me a basket on a rail to hold my cartridges, but this is nice to take to crops and stuff. See ya!

  18. Was just thinking if you slit the sides of the pocket where you put your card you could put them in there flat and not have to fold.

  19. I have 8 of these storage binders and I love them. I labeled the spine with what cartridges are stored in each one and now it is so easy to find them. I did it by them (birthday, holiday, fonts, etc.) Love them!!

  20. Oh, yes! The cinnamon swirl bread makes the best french toast! So yummy! I'm glad I'm eating my lunch right now, otherwise I might indulge is something naughtier since the witnesses are at school (I did my 45 min walk with my BFF this morning after I dropped them off at least!) Good job getting to the gym today! Just keep it up!

  21. Yummy! I have to try that for our french toast. As I always add cinnamon.... this would be so much easier and neater. Thanks.

  22. i am positive on here always but today I have to ask... this seems a waster of money for someone who has MANY cartridges! I have 130 now and There is NO WAY I could keep track of them all in these binders.... I wish they'd come up with a much larger binder that holds a GREAT amount.
again.. my 2cents sorry the "negative' BUT I do love your nails and the french toast sounds yummy! as always.. loving your blog :) doris

  28. What a yummy looking breaky! (Just a quick tip, my husband showed me how to make quick 'french' toast. There's nothing French about it though...LOL. He toasts his toast in the toaster, butters it, and then sprinkles homemade cinnamon sugar over it-it tastes like a pastry! SO good! And it's quick yet filling, even on those days when you don't have the spark to cook. The best part? The kids LOVE IT!!! LoL)

  30. Thanks for the product review! I might get one of these for my solutions/seasonal cartridges too! :) It would be super convenient. Right now, I took out the plastic holder in the regular cartridge case in a few of them so that multiple could fit inside, but I can never remember which one I hid them in!

  31. One of my favorite things to eat in the morning is french toast casserole style. Yours look yummy ! Good job Mom. !!

  32. Yummy!! That french toast looks delicious!

I've thought about getting one of the binders for my Imagine cartridges. I store my Cricut cards in the Snapware containers with mesh dividers.

  36. Sure just started a high protein/low carb diet and you have to show the beautiful french toast. Glad I can't smell them too.

  37. I have two of the binders and I like them okay but one thing I noticed is when I try to figure out what cartridges I have in those mesh holders, I can't see the name of the cartridge. Maybe they should make the holders a little more see through? I know mesh is see through but it being black may be the problem. Not sure. And sometimes I have problems getting the cartridges out of those mesh holders too. But for the most part, I like them to take to crops.

  38. Robyn it's great you're getting your workout routine going so quick now that the kids are back to school!! And--10 mins is better than nothing! I've had nights where I've gone to the gym, walked in to the locker room, changed into my running clothes, turned around, and walked right back out to the car & drove home!!! :) Some days are just like that, aren't they!!! :)

  39. I had to comment because today was French toast day at our house too! If you cut your bread in half on the diagonal it absorbs the egg custard better, puffs up so nice and cooks in less time :) another thing I learned in my short stint in culinary school is to add a little olive oil to the butter on your griddle it keeps the butter from burning and your toast cooks beautifully with that nice buttery crust. Did I mention I love French toast? I'll be doing my recipe on my blog soon! Anyhow I think that doing a hot breakfast every day is awesome, I wish my work schedule allowed me to, but some great easy morning ideas are stuff you can prep the night before and just toss in the oven, baked oatmeal, English muffin breakfast sandwiches, toast & egg cups, so many ideas good luck and as far as I'm concerned good intentions count so 10 minutes at the gym or hot breakfast for a month, all good things :) Andrea

  41. I like this binder. It's storage that doesn't take up much room. Not crazy about the blue nails though!

  42. That's cool! I have one of the boxes to store my solutions carts in but it only holds 8 carts. I love that this holds more and is thinner.

PS. I rock blue toe nails this summer too. I love your nails! I love blue :-)

  43. I think this binder is great. This would be great to take a several cartridges to a crop. Thanks for the video.

  44. Great idea especially for the seasonal carts that do not come with boxes. I've been using the "difficult to open" clear plastic sleeves that the regular carts come in for my boxless carts. This will be very handy to have in the future, well, as soon as I order one. Thanks for sharing.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Forgot to mention, you can put 8 carts and layovers in one plastic sleeve. It works, but, nothing like this one will.

    ReplyDelete
  46. You can also get this at Hobby Lobby.

  50. 10 minutes is better than none, HOWEVER, you need to dedicate time for you're exercise routine, whatever that takes. I remember running around my basement (which was not big) in order to get my run in when I had my first son. Also, maybe a healthier lighter breakfast might be an egg pie made with egg whites and veggies......you can do it the night before, and heat it in the AM. Let the kids know that healthier choices are better w/o the sugar!! Good luck

    LOVE your website!!!!

  53. Hi, Robyn, I enjoyed your review of the binder. I have 5 of them and really like to use them. I alphabetized all my cartridges and printed out a list to go by in arranging them.

I put the overlay and handbook together in one pocket corresponding to the location of the cartridge--top six carts matched up with the top pocket. and last 6 with the lower pocket. There are 12 individual pockets. I keep a list of the carts contained in eachm binder. (also, JoAnn;s on line store has great sale price on these. Thanks Kathie

    thanks for showing.

  55. That is a great storage solution. I have my own way of storing them but I would love if you could figure out what we could do with all our boxes that our cartridges were in. I've thought about recovering them with scrapbook paper and making something out of them. Any ideas?
