Yep! I finally did it! I have tried my hand at Digital Scrapbooking. What does this mean for my Cricut?? It means that I am super excited to mix both together and Hybrid Scrap with my bug and computer! There are so many Cricut Cartridges that I have that I cannot wait to incorporate in my newest area of my hobby.
I made this SUPER SIMPLE Digi Scrapbook page using some free paper I found online along with my PSE. It really is super easy BUT that does not mean that I am getting rid of paper scrapbooking completely either. I think I will try my hand at both and have so much FUN!!
Remember that this page is pretty much a test. I was checking to see how easy it really was AND with the help of some great Youtube tutorials, I was able to get some of the basics down. Don't you love those bloggers who make videos to help you out?? LOL! I am loving it!
Okay, 3 posts in one day?? I am pooped! Hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow!

So being that I'm too lazy to paper scrapbook and haven't in years...my question is how much does it cost to print a 12X12 scrapbook page?
You have inspire me to start using my digital program again. My hubby, who is a computer geek, encouraged me to try it a couple of years ago.I don't plan on giving up the paper scrapbook hobby. Love my cricuts to much.
Love it! I want to try this but just don't know. I have PSE also but just haven't figured it out. Digital or not, I have to have my paper and hands on projects!
Congrats on giving it a go, can't wait to see what else you come up with, I digital/hybrid scrapbook every now and then, particularly if I am short on time, it can be quite fun.
Congrats on joining the digi world. Can't wait to see what you come up with for hybrid.
Great layout...
Hi Robyn
loved your Lo. I´m also done some digital scrapbooking eventhough I LOVE paperstuff :-)

Oh my gosh Robyn, that page is gorgeous. I have done some Digi Scrapbooking too and if you think PSE is easy...you should check out Creative Memories SBC Studio (if you have a Mac. Talk about "EASY" It's like drag and drop! I use it in a bunch of projects for my Primary class and the kids love it! So super "EASY"! Have fun!
This is great well done!:) Sandra H
Yay Robyn! I digi scrap too. I tend to do my son's book with the hands on scrap booking and then I do stuff for me with digi. I just like the super personal touch for his. I need to get into the hybrid aspect of it. I usually do my digi pages in PSE and have them printed as a bound book so it's harder to do the hybrid in that aspect.
Love your test page. I can't give up my traditional s/b'ing but hybrid is creeping into my albums more and more. I found a site last year (howfasttimeflies.com not owned by My Publisher) that has an app (so easy!!!!) - you can produce pages in literally minutes. Lots of cute templates. I leave spaces for "real" elements. Great sale now BOGO til 7/11 if you want to check it out. Printed pages are awesome.
I used to think I couldn't mix digi pages with "real" pages but have finally let it go and focus on just getting pages done! Seems like going on this site and popping out a few pages each for the past few months at a time, gets my inspired to produce other pages traditional/hybrid.
Can't wait to see your future digi-projects!!
I meant NOW owned by MyPublisher. Sorry!
Too funny I started with digital back in 2003 and moved to traditional scrapbooking.. I sometimes combine the two.
Blogger is being goofy again - forgive me if this posts twice...
That looks GREAT! I just did my first pages with templates last month and my first layout from scratch two days ago (they're on my blog). My favorite aspect is being able to change the color of papers & things to better match the photos, etc.
I've NEVER paper scrapped because I'm too much of a perfectionist. I won't give up my bug & hands on stuff for creating cards, but I'm sure loving how easy it is to work on my digi stuff while the kids are running around the house!
I'm a hybrid girl but really like digi - I moved into a smaller house 5 months ago and don't have the same space - I really love it. JessicaSprague.com is a great place to learn! Good Job on the layout!
I like digital scrapbooking too and will always have my paper scrapbooks as well. I have done a few pages were I intertwined the two and thinks it great to do that.
I have never tried digi scrapbooking. Not even sure how it works. Can't wait to learn more about it. I think this looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Boy yor fast, wasn't that pic taken at your 4th of July family re union, I need to start scrap booking, I have a lot of pics. Michelle
Beautiful layout Robyn... I hope you have fun with the digital world.. I tried it once, but so love the personal touches of paper scrapping, I know how much quicker digital is and so many people are doing it... but I LOVE my circuit and I have sooo much paper and stuff.. Have fun... hugs from ukiah
Like your digi layout. Same here as char52 commented I started with digital layouts & now do traditional scrapbooking with paper and use my Cricut to embellish and occasionally will do a digi layout. Ink does cost quite a bit but my HP printer has 5 separate cartridges and you only have to change as they empty individually as opposed to teh Epson printer I had with a black cartridge and a tri-color cartridge that when one color of the trio ran out you had to replace it.

You have to have a large format printer to print 12x12. I have done hybrids for long time and love it. I have a canon that prints out 13x19 and an HP that prints 24x up to 50 foot roll. I hope that helps Susan. Of course you use a lot of ink and paper is more.
I'm a hybrid scrapper myself. I like the digi layouts but I don't have a 12x12 printer. So I do an 8 1/2 x 11 digi layout and put it on a 12x12 paper layout and add all my extra embellishments. Saves me time. Thanks for sharing your layout. Have fun with it. : )
I tried it a couple of years ago, granted I wasn't very good at it, it just seemed like something was missing with digi scraping. It looked generic without dimension. The printing was kind of washed out looking. This was my experience with digi scraping not yours or others. Maybe I need to try it again. I even subscribed to Jessica Sprauge's class which helped a bit but I only used the program a couple of times.
GREAT JOB, NEVER THOUGHT MUCH ABOUT DIGI SCRAPBOOKING, I LIKE MY NEW TOOLS THE IMAGINE AND EXP2. BEAUTIFUL JOB THOUGH.JFAY THOMPSON
I have been wanting to try this and you are inspiring me to give it a try! Great job.
Leslie
Very nice. I've been doing some digital, but can't resist (lol) adding some embellishments before I'm done. The best of both worlds maybe?
I love doing digital scrapbooking. It's printing the pages out that's so expensive.
grammygoodson@bellsouth.net
Great Layout. Yes I love those people that make videos to help others out-- I think when I got my imagine I thought the same thing I don't need to buy paper anymore---- NOT>.....
I am not getting rid of any of my paper but it sure is nice printing your own.
Hugs, DIANA L.
I think it looks nice. I've even done it myself but just don't get the satisfaction I get from using real stuff. Now if PC developed the Imagine, to be able to print our pics right on our layouts, I'd definately give it more thought.
I have decided to do both as well and I'm loving it. Digital allows me to scrap anywhere and keeps me caught up. But I love the hands on traditional gives me.
Have you learned how to make shadows behind your photos and elements? It helps it come to life, instead of looking flat.
Can I ask where did you find the papers files online? I would love to have some papers on file so that if I dont have what I need I can just print it.
This looks great Robyn, however I can't see you sticking with it when you love the cricut so much but who knows I maybe surprised lol.

Love the digital scrapbooking. Especially when there are too many photos to scrapbook!
Congrats Robyn on taking the leap! I did many years ago after paper scrapbooking for a long time and I love it! Excellent first page! Looking forward to seeing more.
