  3. Can you use just the Gypsy with it?

    ReplyDelete
  4. I believe it is just to use with the Cricut Craftroom.

  5. My first impression was "How cool is this! I can take it in my little motor home when we travel." But after finding you need an internet connection to use it, it would be of no use to me... bummer!

  6. yahoo- I have been waiting for this! I travel a lot for business, but like to have some creative time in my hotel room. Never could justify taking the expression. I thought i read someplace it will work with the Gyspy and craft room.

  7. I wonder if it works with the Craft Room right away. I had purchased an Expression 2 in hopes of using the Craft Room with it, but I never got an invite into CR, so I returned the Expression.
It does look very cool though :-)

  8. its a good idea for sure, but I wish they would open the cricut craftroom to everyone before introducing a machine like this..kinda like putting the horse before the cart..

  9. love the idea of a small size. hmmmm "ultra-portable" but requires an internet connection even with my existing carts???? not very portable to me...

  10. Wow..........looks fantastic:) Sandra H

  11. I love the wireless part about it and being able to use it with the online craft room. Felicia

  12. This might be great if you could actually get into the Cricut Craft Room. I have been patiently waiting since April and still not able to sign in. what's up with that?

  13. I don't know what to think .... :-) hugs

  14. I ditto what Sandy says...."I don't know what to think....??"

    Should be interesting

  15. It looks cool, however, I think I'll hold off. Still lovin' my expression and don't feel like cutting down my paper! (spoiled by the E!)

    ReplyDelete
  16. please correct me if i am wrong or misunderstanding.. what is so special / different with this machine that the others won't do. considering the E cuts larger?? You still have to have a computer correct??
I'd really like to know.. understand, :)

  17. Hmmm...looks interesting...just plug in and cut! So no mat needed?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I don't know what to think but cute

  19. I love how sleek and portable it looks :)

  20. I know I am just ultra confused - it needs cartridges? or not? or a Gypsy? AND an internet connection? But I sure am excited to see in action when it starts up on Youtube. This will be interesting!

  21. This machine needs either connection to the cricut craft room or a Gypsy. There is a cart port only to update your cartridge list on CCR. There are no brains in this machine to work off carts directly. This machine is lighter and smaller hence called mini. Still need a mat and to own the cartridges (that you have pre installed on Gypsy or CCR) There are videos on you Tube and other blogs and will be on HSN for $119. Hope that helps

  22. Cute little machine but can't we use our expression for the craft room?

    Carol D.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yes...they made this machine to replace baby bug. Some said the 6" was just to small. It is not as expensive as the Expression so more can afford. It is very portable. Of course you need either a computer or a Gypsy. And if you own a Gypsy you need a computer to get updates. This machine will have its place. It is small, portable, light weight, will work with your laptop. Reminds me of the first Silhouette.

  24. Doesn't seem to impressive to me. It seems no one can get into CR and many do not have a Gypsy. And it doesn't take carts on its own. Not for me.

  25. It works with Cricut craft room? But Cricut craft room doesn't work yet. So how can that be? Wasn't CCR supposed to be working in April when I bought my E2? It's now the end of July and I can't get into CCR. Provo can't seem to keep any promises. I'm more excited about the other cutters like the 12" silhouette that will work when you actually buy it, not six months later.

Sorry to vent to you Robyn or on your blog, but... It's very disappointing that Cricut would introduce such a machine for us to purchase when we have been patiently waiting for the Cricut Craft Room to release which supposed to have been in April. I assume there are issues to resolve before they release but they should have taken care of the issues before they state a release date. Sorry for venting :( Thanks Robyn for everything you do for us!!

  27. I was reading/listening to post last night about the mini. This machine will work with the Gypsy so it will be great for taking to crops and on trips. This also means any designs done in CCR can be saved to the G and cut/altered on the G. I did see that the expected release date won't be until November so hopefully by that time CCR will be released to all and the bugs (no pun intended) will be worked out.

  28. I saw Jinger on FB say it could be used with PC, MAC, or Gypsy. I haven't seen the Gypsy mentioned again. If it truly could work with the Gypsy it would be well worth having.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't know... If it's replacing the baby bug I can at least see a reason. But I have an Imagine an Expression and an E2. i won't need this for anything. Cute... but not practical for me.
CCR.... when will it be up? I'm so anxious!

  30. real cool i saw a video on you tube about it.

    love it

  31. I love the new look and I watched a video of it its so quite. When I seen it was thinking oh this will be perfect for a friend who still has the baby bug see cant afford the expresstion. But then I seen you had to be on internet to use it and she only has dial up. That is the only draw back to this new cricut, some people if you live out in the country only have dail up. DOnt know how it would work on slow connection. I hope they open craft room to everyone soon I have been wanting to try it out but right now you have to be circle member or invited to try it. So guessing when this comes out it will be online for all. Yahoo...lol

  32. interesting very interesting but, im still working on getting a E2 so it will have to go to the bottom of the want list....

    ReplyDelete
  33. Would ike to see if they open craft room I have all my bugs don't know if I would use this but have friends that might... but need access to the craftroom and still can't get in :( hopefully soon.. Robyn love all that you do!!!Glad Karlees visiting again!!!

  34. WOW! This sounds exciting. I've been waiting to hear more about the Cricut Craft Room but this little machine sounds like a bonus! Looks like this could be my next machine...note to self "put pennies away for new toy" :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. It is so cool looking--does it work with the Gypsy? I think if CCR works well this would be great to have

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sounds to me like Provo Craft's priority needs to be on getting the CCR up and running before they introduce new Cricuts.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Not that keen on it, it's a bit restrictive. It's no good to people that don't have internet, i'd rather have the baby bug/create at least it's more portable.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Looks like a good concept. I have to agree with most ladies about the Cricut Craft Room. I was so excited, telling everyone I ran into in the Craft stores it was coming...then it didn't. Like others have said, I try every now and then to use CCR with no luck.
Robyn, it's nice to have you to vent to. If there is anything you can do to let Provo Craft know the frustrations many are having, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks for all you do and thanks to PC.

  40. Did they say the price? When will the craft room open? Will you be able to link carts if you have already linked to your gypsy?

    ReplyDelete
  41. So cool I really want one now :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. So now the questions left are WHEN and WHERE can we get one?! Yvette-they said they really want it to be reasonable for ANYONE to use and the MSRP will be $119.00! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  43. You can use it with the gypsy and craftroom! When will it be coming out? I WANT!

    ReplyDelete
  44. My 7 yr old daughter just saw this and now she wants this on her Christmas list... I said to her but you help mommy with her E2 and Expression and she said yeah but they are not my own mommy, this is the perfect size for me LOL..... so guess what it made it to her christmas list... LOL.. she is going to be my little crafter

    ReplyDelete
  45. So is there a 81/2 by 11 inch mat now??? When is CCR coming out anyway???? Love my E 2 and the imagine but without CCR you cannot move the images on the mat, weld Ect. Plus with the Imagine, it keeps shutting itself off with my Gypsy. I love Provo Craft but too many products too fast that only half work.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The mini wasn't meant for us who already have cricut machines, but PC is trying to reach the young techy non-cricut users to get them on board with a cheaper machine in hopes they would grow into an Imagine that isn't selling for them as well as other products.

CraftRoom launch is still at least another month away...September at the earliest.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I am on the fench about this little guy! I have the baby and the moma and want to Imagine. And I haven't seen a price listed as of yet. I need more infor and more time....

    ReplyDelete
  48. I can't get into the craft room either.. its annoying because I was told when I called back in April that it was going to be open in the next 2 weeks... I went out and bought the imagine (not a fan at all, and I got the gypsy too, again, not a fan of that either..) I'm just a big fan of the expression... Maybe I will spend some time watching your videos and learning the tips and tricks and maybe learn to like the machines since I already paid an arm and a leg for them.
