Happy Thursday!
I cannot believe the 2nd week of our summer is almost over! Lots of swimming for us. Thankfully the weather has been bearable. So happy that our AC is back on! I hope you are all having a wonderful day!!

Since my two grand daughters live so far away from me the only time I get to see them is the summer. They have been coming to stay with me for 6 weeks every summer since they were 4 years old. They are now 15 and 12. I both look forward to their visits and I also have to admit I look forward to their departure...but summers are always great!

I would just like to go fishing with my DH. I love fishing. It is so quiet and all you hear around you is the forest. We can't go right now as there is a huge fire and even though it is not anywhere near where we fish, the smoke is and my allergies are driving me crazy already from it. So I will have to wait. It seems that Summer always reminds me of fresh fruit, so I love to make smoothies, snow cones, fresh lemonade and homemade ice cream with my son!

My fun summer is going to the lake with my kids, husband, brother and sister and of course my parents. I cant wait till we go this year. We spend all day playing on the water and then go out for a special family dinner. Just to see the look on my dads face when he has everyone together is perfect.

The highlight of our summer is Vacation Bible School. My children are all grown up now but I still love to teach VBS (music) and go "all out" decorating for the theme for the year. Hi Robyn. My idea of summer fun is picking raspberries from my raspberry patch, and taking my granddaughter to the squirty water park when she comes to visit. Then we eat raspberry crisp with vanilla ice cream. Mmmmmmm
During the summer I like hiking in the mountains near my home.
One of the highlights of my summer is spending a week with my family at the same lakeside vacation spot where we go every year. Nothing fancy, just beautiful mountain views, crystal clear water, ice creams every evening, and lots of time to relax together.

Summer fun for me is long days since drivivg at night is difficult for me, Now have more time for visiting, shopping and spending time with friends and family.

This is my first post. I take care of 2 of my grandsons in the summer,we live close to the beach and like to go swimming,fishing when we can,I take care of my father- inlaw,so we do crafting .
I have been out of the loop lately and just happened to check out your blog today! What has been going on??!!! Stamps??!! Yeah I have been that out of the loop -- I am in awe! I can definitely see some purchases being made to spice up my classes!! As for fun in the summer - beach with the kidlets! My absolute fav then BBQ and a fire to end the night -- nothing like it! Hi Robyn. I love summer. My kids still have next week then they are free. lol...We spend our summers in our pool. Just as soon as I get off from work we hit it. My favorite thing is Thursdays as I get off work at 1pm and we get the chance to spend most of the day playing around. Glad to hear that you are doing well and safe from all the tornadoes. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is a toss up between swimming and riding horses. This year has been so hot tho, that swimming has trumped riding.

Our family really enjoys going scalloping over the summer. The kids feel like it's a treasure hunt and we get to stay cooled off in the gulf waters, great family fun!!

Our family vacations the Jersey shore for a week every summer, we go crabbing, clamming , and even enjoy the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. My kids start thinking about it aroung Easter, they just love it.
I love summer because I get to start planting my garden. I love my veggie garden lol! Thanks for the chance to win!!
We like to take the kids to the lake nearby and go swimming, fishing, and playing in the sand. We go camping, have friends over, go and get snocones from the Sno Shack, and just have a lot of fun!
I myself am also busy doing a lot of crafting to get ready for a booth I do on Labor Day weekend, for our Peach Days Celebration.

First of all, I'd like to thank you and the other bloggers for teaching me sooo much! I got my Cricut for X-Mas and was kind of lost until I found your blogs! I've been hooked ever since.
As for this Summer - since moving away from the only 5-year old grandchild, I'm looking forward to having come visit me this Summer. He just loves the special cards I send him with my Cricut, and I'd like to sit down with him and make some projects and just spoil him rotten for an entire week!

One of my favorite things to do during the summer is taking my kids to the park, the zoo or other places that they like. I love seeing the smile on their faces when they are out of the house. They spend all winter in our small apartment that once it starts getting warm, I take them out almost everyday. And I love how early they go to sleep during summer so that's a plus.
Once a year my family and I go to Helen, GA for the Fourth of July. It is my favorite thing to do. We tube down the river for 3 days and then watch the fireworks on the Fourth before heading home the next day. It's always a BLAST!

I am a teacher and love to spend my summers hanging out with my children. We love to have pajama days where we do not get out of our pjs all day and watch movies, play games, make jewelry and scrapbook (especially on rainy days).
Hi Robyn we still have till 22nd July before we break for the summer holidays over here in the uk. We have just purchased a holiday home in Norfolk East Coast of England and we are just so excited. The girls and I are trying to pack up as much art stuff as possible without my Husband seeing what we doing lol .
