Ohh my favorite father's day tradition? Can I write that on here? LOL Ok I will give you the family friendly one... The kids make him breakfast in bed, and they usually don't burn it! ages 10, 7, 4. The 7 year old has made a crown for him for the past couple of years, and I think he might miss it this year if she doesn't. (although he would NEVER admit that!)

My girls and I usually make my husband's gift as well as go to his favorite steakhouse the Friday before Fathers day. (It's waaay to crowded on Sundays).

Usually my sister, mother and I go together to get something special for my Father. My favorite ever was a ticket to ride on retired WWII planes. He got to ride in the same model that his Father flew in WWII. So cool to get to experience that with him. Sorry for the book...thanks for reminding me of the memory :)

Father's day traditions? well, my dad past away when I was 13 so I dont really have any memories that we do something special on father's day but our family (mom's side) always put together a big family brunch for father's day for my grandpa. He loves having everyone around and having a special brunch on his day makes him happy. :-)

Karenduch said...

We do whatever my husband wants! LOL! Fathers Day is usually cooking breakfast (my 8 year old daughter and me) and then he used to go golfing. Not sure what he wants to do this year. He hasn't said anything! I might make him a carrot cake (his favorite!).

Every Fathers Day from as far back as I could remember we would get dressed and spend the day with My Husband, My Daddy, Uncle & Pawpaw. We would go fishing, cook dinner,BBQ,hang out and enjoy the moment. This year is going to be a very hard Fathers Day for all of us. My Pawpaw passed away in April. Leaving My Daddy as legal guardianship to my Uncle whom is mental retarded. This year were going to go help my Daddy and Uncle around and on the farm. I plan on helping my daddy redo the living room (It just has white walls with nothing other than a clock on the wall.) I am wanting to frame photos of our family out where they can be seen. Now that my daddy has lost his father and has so much more work on him( He had to move from his home to live with my Uncle, to take care of the farm and such.) I am wanting to help my Daddy feel like hes home now even though its not the same. Like he did in my childhood home hes lived in all of my life. My Pawpaw has passed on to be with the love of his life. Now hes not in pain but with the lost of him its very hard on my Daddy and Uncle who have lost so much. They have lost both parents. I have talked Fathers Day over with my hubby and we plan on making Fathers Day the best we can. Show my Uncle he still has a family even though he has lost so much and to give my Daddy thanks for being a great father.

I'm wanting to make a wall of "a walk down memory lane." and another of the memory's to come. I cant wait to see how many photos I can use with my cricut making frames of them all 3 hunting or fishing :)

We usually celebrate Father's Day with family and a BBQ. However, this year we'll be traveling back home from a trip to check out a Lineman college for our son. We'll still be together, it will just be on the road (I'm sure our son will be plugged into his ipod, so my husband and I will have lots of time to talk! :) Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

My family like to hang out with their Daddy for Father's Day playing video games and watching whatever he wants. My hubby does most of the cooking too, so I will always try to do the cooking all that day too, giving him a break.

Would be great to win a cartridge to be able to take on my next big scrapbook day!

I loved my sisters and I jumping in in Daddy's bed with his gifts and watching him smile as he opened them. Then the bear hugs after-I miss him. It was such a great tradition that since my husband and I had our first child, I make a point of letting the kids hop into bed to wake daddy up. The kids love it and daddy always wakes up with a smile on his face. So on Father's Day we do special things for daddy like make him something special. My kids are still young so as they get older I want them to choose their own traditional way of showing their love for their daddy.

Typically for Father's Day we have a picnic some where, but this year we won't since I broke my ankle. We'll probably have lunch at a place on the ocean though so we'll still have an outdoor atmosphere :o)

We love Fathers Day, my Father and Father-in-law come for a BBQ. It is a chance for our siblings and children to all get together and have a fun time. Hoping as my kids get older we can continue to add to this tradition!

Maryssa and Marysol's favorite thing to do for Daddy is to sing a Primary Song to him at Church that their favorite music Teacher has taught them! And they love to hide his gifts for him around the family room for him to hide like the Easter Bunny does for them. And they love to help Mommy make all 3 of his favorite meals that day! Mommy's favorite is to see the girls hug and kiss their Daddy!
