Faith

Hey Everyone!

I hope you are all having a super Sunday!  It's been a great day here.  Today I taught the children a new song for the year called "Faith".  I absolutely LOVE this song!  Click HERE to listen to it.  A very simple but true song.

I went on a hunt to find cheap packets of seeds and finally found some for .20 cents each at Walmart!  I needed around 65 of them!!  I covered each seed packet with yellow cardstock on the front, stamps Faith using Faithful Sayings stamp set from My Pink Stamper, and used Better Together Imagine Cartridge to cut the totally cute flower!

At the end of my song lesson I told the children that I had some Faith Seeds for them all.  All they needed to do was plant their seeds, water, and nourish their seeds and they would grow.  I asked them if you could just plant a seed in dirt and expect it to grow.  I told them it is the same with Faith, you need to exercise it and then nourish it for it to grow.

I will chat with you all tomorrow!!!

No matter what faith everyone has - that is a simple truth for all faiths. Faith must be nourished and renewed or it will not grow. What a wonderful lesson for the little ones.

Great cards and the message even better. We all need to nourish our faith in our savior Jesus Christ and this is a great way to get the little ones excited about it.

Robyn,
I knew when I saw one of your videos on Youtube that you were my kind of person. Your packet of "Faith" seeds was the best testimony I have seen lately. I will have to use this idea myself. Thanks for being who you are.

God Bless

Our 2 little 4 year old girls were soooo excited about your lesson and song today that we came home and helped them plant their 2 little packets of "faith" seeds! They said, "Mommy, we are going to nourish, water, nurture and watch our plants grow just like our faith grows when we nurture it!" Awesome lesson! Thank you for being such a great music teacher to our 2 precious little girls!

I love how you've been doing 'churchy' posts on sundays - even if I don't personally share your LDS beliefs I still walk away with something to think about.

I have to say I LOVE the message in your blog post. Having faith makes living easy. A perfect example is what my sister had to go through a few years back. She was going through a divorce due to her husband being unfaithful. Now she is married to her true love and has a baby girl of 5 months. Having faith made it easy for us all to help her get through that hard time.

I wanted to ask you too... Are the Imagine and Expression very different? Would it be useful to have them both? I was thinking of getting one before but thinking it would be expensive having to buy the cartridges and the ink required. Could you shed some light on this subject and your thoughts on the Imagine?

What a great idea! I never even thought of using my cricut for visuals in Relief Society. We have a lady from Korea who doesn't speak English and I try to simplify the lessons for her. Now I can make a reminder for each lesson! What an inspiration you are, Robyn! Thank you. :)
