Cricut Best of 2008 Sympathy Card & Cupcakes!

Hi Guys!  Here is a simple card that I made for my children's piano teacher who lost her husband about 2 weeks ago.  We decided to make some cupcakes & take them to her along with some other friends from church.

This card was made using the Cricut Best of 2008 Cartridge.  I cut the butterfly at 3 1/2 inches.  The stamp  is a SNEAK PEEK from one of my upcoming My Pink Stamper Stamp Sets that will be released this Friday!!

I made both the cupcake & the frosting from scratch.  I melted semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double broider and added it to my batter for a chocolate flavor.  They tasted like yummy brownie cupcakes!!

It is so nice when people go out if their way to help someone who lost someone. I makes them feel not alone and they have support to get through it. I lost my brother 3 weeks ago to diabetes. He was only 29. I saw the card you made and made me think of the butterflys I saw right after his passing. Thanks for always being such a great person and putting a smile on someones face <3

  12. Very nice card - I am liking the "sneak peaks" and am thinking late Mother's Day gift ! The cupcakes look yummy - but I can't have them, well I can, but choose not to as I am trying to help hubby and a good friend eat well and lose weight. And it feels good to be doing something good for or with someone else.

  15. I am enjoying all of the cupcakes you have been showing. I think you might have to start a link to post the recipes for all these sweet treats you are making. Then you can get people hooked on baking too, not just all the cool craft stuff we see here that we need. :-)

Love your card! And 'thanks for nothing!" (LOL) I REALLY didn't need to see your delicious looking cupcakes! I'm not so much a baker (except around Christmas), so instead of going to my craft room, looks like I HAVE to go to the supermarket now!
CAN'T WAIT for Sat!! I'll have plenty of snacks ready!

  26. Cupcakes look yum! Robyn, can you tell what original cartridge that butterfly came from? I guess I am assuming that all of the "best of" came from one of the cartridges released in that specific year.
