Happy Graduation Card for my Sister!

Hey Guys!!

Can you believe it is Tuesday already??  I will be busy preparing to pack today and getting all the errands finished before this Friday.  So excited for my weekend in Utah with my family!!

I made this card for my big sister, Christy, who is graduating college next month.  Sooooo excited for her!  She is the first person on my side of the family who has graduated with a Bachelors degree.  I plan on going back someday, too.  She is such an inspiration to me and to so many.  :)

I used one of the new Seasonal Cricut Cartridges called Happy Graduation.  This was one of the new cartridges announced for the month of March.  To see all the other releases and what I have made so far, click HERE!
 Recipe:
Diamonds in the Rough Cuttlebug Folder
Gray Cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
Black Cardstock cut at 4 1/2 x 4 1/2
White Base cut at 9 1/2 x 4 3/4
Graduation Cap cut at 3 inches

I used My Pink Stamper Happiest Moments Stamp Set for the saying on the inside.  You can pick it up from any of my retailers HERE.

I very elegant card! Congrats to your sister on completion of her bachelor degree requirements. It is never too late to get a degree. I got mine at 41 and had a wonderful career in science for twenty five years before retiring.

I really enjoy your style of cardmaking. What is that behind your card? It looks like it uses vinyl!

Classically clean lines. Lovely card. Congrats to your sister. Feel so good when great things happen with family!!
? With the many layers on your cards do you find the cards get heavy?
My cards weight alot when I am done making them. Just wanted to know if your cards are heavy too??

Oooh, I LOVE that card! I was the first person to go to college on my dad's side of the family (actually the first person to get a High School Diploma too). My dad then started going and actually finished his bachelors before me LOL. But I did beat him by getting my Masters first. That's so awesome for your sister though--especially having kids and all. I saw how much more difficult it was for my dad since he works full time and everything. Kudos to her!
