  10. I think you mixed up the times - MST would be 6 and PST would be 5

As a single mom I got used to my daughter being gone very early on. Starting at 4 yrs she was gone almost every weekend and school holiday so I didnt experience the sadness as much as a my friends did when faced with a week apart. I watched my neice and nephew recently and they had never been apart from their mom. Ei yi yi! They (my sis) had gone on a cruise and tried to call a often as they could but I think it would have been easier had she prepared daily gifts, notes & surprises for the kids. Dont feel bad for being one of 'those' moms :)

  13. Have a great trip, Robin! I understand what it is like to leave your children--I have five and did it only once. I too left a special gift for them each day--anything from boxes of animal crackers to a bingo game. That was 20 years ago. They still talk about those gifts and how special it was.

  18. I understand how you feel about leaving your children. I went to a Dude Ranch with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law about 5 yrs ago for nine days. I have three children and leaving them wa a difficult thing to do and I said I would never do that again. I enjoyed going but would have enjoyed it more if my whole family would have been with me. The only tip I can give is keep very busy. Enjoy.

  20. No stress... allow yourself to get healed. Enjoy the cruise.
An idea maybe is to have one of your talented design crew to do a video for you.

  21. I have to say I was in tears when you teared up because I am leaving my 4 kids for 4 days starting Monday! I feel your pain about writing lists and organizing everything. Everyone is telling my husband and I to have a great time, but right now is tough. The secretary at my kids' school said, "It is such a short period of time in the grand scheme of life." I guess I'll have to take her advice! Great idea about buying little gifts, I didn't think of that!

  22. As a mom I feel for you... but when you return they will be tears of JOY! Enjoy your trip of a lifetime :)

  23. I'm sure you will miss your kids, Robyn, but don't forget to have fun. Great idea with leaving them some sort of activity/gift for each day. I never did that when I left my four kids for 5 days in 2009 and again in 2010. My older three were all teenagers though and my youngest was 9 and then 10 years old. Every year, I a yearly trip down to the Austin, Texas area to visit my bff who moved down there in 2008.

  24. Robyn, my guess is your oldest Daughter is very proud to help Mom out...along with the others. Sounds like you have everything under control & will have lots to talk about with your family. You are a NORMAL MOM & it shows...thats what most of us like about you...YOU ARE NORMAL.
Can't wait for the Live Broadcast.
    Thanks...Be SAFE.

  25. Oh Robyn! I cried when you were talking about leaving your kids for so many days! I had to leave my kids for several weeks last fall to care for my father and it is amazing how they can grow so much in a short amount of time. I know how hard it must be for you to leave them but they'll know your heart is there with them especially when they get those special treats everyday! Your a great Mom for doing that and you deserve this trip for all the great things you do! Have fun and I can't wait to see videos/pics of all the fun! Thanks for sharing your life with us! I'll be praying for safe travels for you and Karlee!

  30. Thanks for the video Robyn. I hope you and Karlee have a fabulous time with a little relaxing 'me' time thrown in there somewhere. I wish I could meet you guys down in Ft lauderdale for lunch since I do live in Florida...unfortunately for me, Florida is a looong state and while you'll be at the bottom, I am at the top =( Maybe next time! 32. Hi Robyn, You are so tender hearted and I love that about you. I have been on many cruises and I left my kids when they where in their late teens and that was very hard. I also, went without my husband once, who is so much fun to be with on a ship and I swore I would never go without him again. I know you and Karlee will have so much fun, there is so much to do on the ship and on shore time will fly by before you know it you will be back home with the joys of your life. God bless you!

  37. Hi Robyn!!
Mommies' worry...that's part of the job! Smile (just like you always do!) & have a good time! Maybe your babies can come up with a Welcome Home Mommy banner or sign for when you get back! I bring one EVERY TIME for whoever is picking me up @ the A/P (in case they don't have one for me!) or who I'm picking up! It's so fun! Speaking of fun...CAN'T wait for the live Pink PJ Party, tonight!
Loads of laughs to you both! Bon Voyage & God Bless!
    Hugs from R.I.,
