I am thankful for......

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I thought I would share with you the top things that I am thankful for in my life...

#1 - My Family
I feel like I have been blessed with the best family in the world.  Although my life is very chaotic most of the time, I am grateful for the people who make the noise. Just maybe not the noise.  :)

My big brother Jeff, who I got to see this past Spring for the first time in 14 years!  It was such a great reunion!!
My mom, who I wish lived closer so we could go shopping and craft more!  My little sister Amber, who I am so happy for that she found her eternal companion and gets to do what she loves the most and share with others......act!
My sister Christy, who is like a best friend more than a sister.

#2 - Friends
My Bestest Friend Karlee
So much to say about my bestie!  Karlee and I have been buds for about 3 years now and I am soooo grateful!    We have the funnest times together EVER.  I am so lucky that someone likes me enough to visit me every few months and go to My Pink Stamper events!  That is a true friend!
My awesomest friend Julie
Julie has been a friend of mine for many years now.  She is always there if I need something and helps me soooo much!  It is nice that our daughters are BFFs, too!

#3 - My Awesome Hobby & Friends
I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am that my husband bought me a Cricut after my 5th baby was born.  Not only did that bug help me overcome my postpartum depression but it opened up a whole new world of online friends and possibilities.

2x's a year now Karlee and I get to attend CHA where we have met the most amazing people and made the best of friends.  This is Jinger below who is the spokesperson for Provo Craft and she is just a doll!

I'm so grateful for my friend, Tammy.  We get to work together on Hello Thursday projects for Provo Craft and I couldn't be happier.  She is the sweetest, most  giving person I know.  She does so many kind acts of service that you will never even know about because Tammy is the type of person who keeps a lot of them to herself. That is a great example to us all!
I am thankful for all of my helpers from CHA and all of my Design Team members past & present.  I have been very blessed to work with the kindest people on the planet!
I am thankful that, even as a stay at home mom of 5, I get to do what I love and share with others.  That is truly what I love about this hobby!
I am thankful that the Lord has blessed my talent and turned it into something more.  Not only am I able to share what I love with others but I am able to travel and have new experiences.

#4 - My Church
Where do I even start here?  This should actually be more at the top of my list.  I am so thankful for my Father in Heaven and the Plan of Salvation.  I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 22 years old and had just had the worst year of my life.  I am so eternally grateful to know that I cannot only live with Him again someday but that I can live with my family forever.

I am also thankful to live in a place where we have the freedom of religion and we get to decide what we believe.

#5 - Exercise
I am thankful that I was able to learn how to get my body healthy before it was too late!  Here is my before picture.

I cannot believe that I was able to lose 50 pounds and train for a marathon all in 8 months!!  It is amazing what our bodies can do when we push them to their limits.

Even though I have gained back about 14 pounds I am still grateful that I have the right tools to get my body in shape and healthy again.  I will start updating www.thepinkloser.blogspot.com again starting Monday.  My journey is beginning again.

I just want you to know that I am thankful for all of you, too.  Whether you have been with me from the beginning of my blog or if you are brand new.  YOU motivate me, encourage me, and inspire ME!!

Hugs,
Robyn

Relief Society Activity

Hello Everyone!!

I hope you all have had a terrific day!  I had a very relaxing day.  I took a few days off of officially blogging since it is going to be a busy rest of the week with My Pink Imagine-Nation Wednesday and Hello Thursday.  Busy, busy!!

Tonight we had a Relief Society Activity at my church building.  In our church the Relief Society Organization is made up of all women 18 and over.  It came about as a way for the women in our church in the early days to help bring "relief" to those in need by service.  We had a fun activity tonight by holding a Service Auction.  It was awesome!!  There were about 40-50 of us ladies there and we all donated one or two service items or acts to auction off.  I donated a pack of my cards and some homemade cookies.  We all earned points to bid with by the things we had accomplished this week, month, and even today.  Some examples were like...... Give your kids a hug (20 points each child), made your bed today, told someone you loved them, did a Random Act of Kindness, etc.  It was amazing how great the items of service were that other women donated.  We have a very successful lawyer who donated a free one hour consult, many cooks who donated home cooked meals to others, two ladies who donated their pools and backyards for a pool party, and someone even donated their boat for a day on the lake!!  Amazing how giving everyone was.

The great thing about tonight was that I really felt the spirit of service.  I wanted to do so much for everyone!  If someone didn't get the dinner they bid on I was thinking in my head that I should take that family dinner.  If someone didn't get that hour of free babysitting I was thinking that I should offer to take their baby for the day so they can get something done.  It is so awesome to be a part of this great work that we are put on the earth to do.  When we serve others we can truly find who we are and the potential we have within us.  :)

Here is a picture I took of me with one of the sister missionaries in our church. She gets to go home tomorrow and she has been away from her family for 1 1/2 years and has only talked to them a couple of times.  Another act of service that I am totally in awe of.  :)

I hope you all have a beautiful night and feel inspired as I was to serve others.  :)
