My Pink Imagine-Nation Wednesday with Maria McGuire

**I cannot believe I forgot to post Maria's blog link today!!  I'm sooo sorry!  Maria actually put the post together herself and I was going to add her link.  Here you guys go, please check it out!!  www.believedreamcreatewithmaria.com***

Hi, this is Maria and I am thrilled that Robyn asked me to come Guest Design for her this week on My Pink
Imagine-Nation Wednesday. Robyn and I have worked together before but mostly we are friends who share a love for everything Cricut! For this project I got my inspiration from Robyn’s Winter Punnies Stamp Set.

I was so excited to get the Mac update for my Imagine that I decided to try out the Edge-to-Edge printing feature to make the paper for my card base. It was so easy! I love how you can make everything to match instantly with the Imagine.
Below is my finished paper.

I also wanted a piece of solid paper to make an accent and the inside piece for my card. I didn't need a whole sheet so I used the rounded square basic shape that is loaded on the Imagine and filled it in with a color from the palate of my patterned paper. I sized it to 8.5
which is the length of my card.
Next I cut out my two houses using the layers feature. I wanted to pop dot some of the pieces.
My card base is 8.5 inches by 7.75 inches. It fits perfectly into a business size envelope. To make the solid paper hill accent on the front of the card, I laid out my houses with enough room in between for my sentiment. I then used a pencil and lightly drew in hills to cut by hand. Super easy!
For the inside of my card I cut another piece of my solid paper and put inside. I then placed all the stamps I wanted to use on one acrylic block at one time. This saves time when stamping and lets you line it up exactly.
I added a little “mock” snow with Flower Soft in Polar White. Just put some liquid adhesive on the spots you want snow, sprinkle the snow on and instant snow….I would rather have this kind of snow than the real stuff any day!

Imagine Cartridges Used: Snow Angel & Mr. Frosty
My Pink Stamper Stamp Sets Used: Winter Punnies & Christmas Wishes
House on left cut at 3.5 inches. House on right cut at 3.0 inches.
Card Base is 8.5 x 7.75.
Just for fun—here is a picture of Robyn and I at CHA this past July at a Cricut Circle event. Thanks Robyn for having me visit today!

  3. Unfortunately our Walmart does not carry the carts that were advertised by you. The scrapbooking "aisle" is at one end and as I was shopping, I saw the Expression in or near the electronics. Never would have seen it if I wasn't browsing. I have an Expression, but many people who were looking for it might have missed it. Our Walmart is not a great scrapbooking mecca.

  21. What a gorgeous card. I just ordered "Mr Frosty" cartridge from HSN during their big sale this week. Haven't got it yet, but I know I'm going to love it. All you gals have inspired me so much with this blog that I have started my own blog called "I Scrapbook - therefore I'm broke". Right now I'm trying to video cleaning up my disorganized scrap room. Robyn, you have convinced me that I CAN get this mess arranged so that I can actually scrapbook in my room again. Thanks.
