For Narnia!!!

Hello Everyone!!

I am just soooo super excited!!  The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (my favorite book in the Chronicles of Narnia series) is being released!  I cannot even begin to tell you how CRAZY EXCITED I am!  Okay, I guess I just told you twice!!  LOL!!  Anyway, that is what my family & I will be doing tonight.

Now I am on my way BACK to my child's kindergarten class where we are having the class party and making gingerbread houses.  I had to make 2 batches of homemade icing this morning and last night I made 20 goodie bags for the kids. You will see how I made them on Monday!  I will have later to post today for you guys but until then.....

For Narnia!!

Hi Robyn!!
Sorry but I'm really not familiar with "Narnia", but I HAVE heard of it! Isn't it GREAT to get to spend time with your kids' class? ENJOY it!! It may be a lot of work at the time, but it won't be long before they really don't want you to come there anymore! (They get REALLY embarrassed!)One time, I got to go incognito & dress up as Clifford, the big red dog for a book fair @ my son's elementary school. It was a good thing the costume had a really big head (& you can't talk), 'cause when my son's class came into the library, I saw his eyes light up & I got to hug him, I was sooo crying in that costume! He never knew it was me! I finally told him when he was about 20. So, have a BLAST today & I can't wait to see the goodie bags you made! (maybe even some pix of the gingerbread houses!) Thank you for bringing back that wonderful memory for me!
Hugs from R.I.,

I am a dance teacher and myself and 2 other teachers have created a full length ballet of The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe and it is going on this same weekend!!! This happened to us when the first movie was released so you can probably guess that my whole cast is jazzed about this movie:-) btw, my oldest daughter is Edmund in the ballet and my middle daughter is the dwarf:-) Enjoy the movie!!

Voyage of the Dawn treader was also my favorite of the series. I hope they were able to do it justice in the movies.

Most all of my kids have read the series, but for some reason I never have.

My family and I went to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader early this afternoon. One of the rewards for homeschooling - only around a dozen other people in the theater!!!

It was great! We are big Narnia fans. We have read through the book series at least 3 times, and listened to the books on CD even more than that! So, my DDs are sticklers for the details being carried over to the movies. They were concerned after the last movie came out. But, they approved of this "version". While the makers made a few changes, we felt that this time they kept to the essential message of the book and the major/most important events.

Most importantly, I felt that in this movie, they were true to C.S. Lewis' intent to point people to Christ as represented by Aslan.

I know you will love the movie.

Yes, my 11 year old son can't wait either. He will be taking a friend to go see it. He wanted to do that instead of having a birthday party.
