  3. Wow, our walmart was so much more crowded than yours!! Although the fact that it is all we have out here could play a part in that!! Glad you ladies had fun and got everything you needed.

  6. LOL! Love the video!!! I was at Walmart at 11:30, and at 11:50, people started tearing open the pallets like they were crazy! But I got Four Legged Friends, Jolly Holidays and Inspired Heart. YAY!

  10. We got to Walmart about 11:45 PM and there was only 1 other person waiting at the CRICUT pallet. There were a lot more people milling around and waiting for other stuff though. We pretty much got everything we wanted. I got my 3 LITE carts. Didn't need a new E. We actually got out of there about 12:15. Didn't have to wait for a cashier but as we were leaving the lines got really long!

  12. I was there at 9:50 pm because I wanted to make sure that I could get one. It was the same for me - of the few people who were gathered around the pallet, we all discussed what colors everyone wanted so we could help each other out.

While we were waiting a Wal-Mart employee took something out of a lady's cart that she had found on the shelf because it was one of the items that was going on sale at 12:00 am. Can you believe that??

Your Wal-Mart was QUIET compared to mine. It was a mad house!

Oh, and my husband went later that day around 12:00 pm - and there were still 10 Cricuts sitting there. I couldn't believe it!

  13. by 1215 there was nothing left, it was a zoo, rude people only 10 checkouts open, check out lines were 3 hour wait if you could figure out where the end of the lines were, I gave up and gave my carts to a nice lady Id met waiting in line and went home. Ordered 20 dollar carts online and went to bed, My mom went to her walmart next day and got me the 3 carts I wanted.... Nope black fridays not for me.

  20. It seems you had lots of fun, I'm quite envy because I couldn't shopping there:-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. You two always have so much fun together! My Wal-Mart for got about their Cricut pallet and it took them an hour to find it. It was soo small and only had 2 of each machine and cartridge! And my store was a mad house! But 2employees were soo super sweet to walk all over and find the pallet for me. They even gave me first pcik before they put it in the aisle. Thanks for sharing!

    ReplyDelete
  22. You guys are crazy!!! Great video. Please, move to San Jose so I can get crazy too :-) I did go shopping on Friday, but after 10am. I am definitely getting old.

    ReplyDelete
  23. How fun! Me and my daughter and her boyfriend went out shopping. I got two of the new Cricut Lite cartridges. Can't wait to play with them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. whoo hoo.. love Black Friday Shopping. I got my cricut stuff too however my walmart was so crowded you literally couldn't push a cart. You had no elbow room at all. All my rest of my shopping went great too. I got tons of deals. I was up all night too .

    ReplyDelete
  25. Looks like you two had a great time. I unfortunately had to go by myself and did not have near as much fun as you two did. I did get the two cartridges I wanted so I was very happy. Was not in the market for a Cricut cause I just got my red one last BF. But, it is totally okay to have more than one machine, if that is what you want!

  26. Big ups to you ladies! Whoever says shopping isn't a sport doesn't know what they are talking about.

  27. Oh my how funny. My sister, mom, and a friend of ours decided to head out for Black Friday. Our first stop was Toys R Us. They were opening at ten and we got there around 915. We quickly realized that the line of 500 was not really in our favor and Walmart price matches so we headed over there. Then we proceeded to stand next to the new Cricut cartidges and the Expression for HOURS! It was all worth it. Company was phenominal and we left with a beautiful teal expression for my sis, twinkle toes, and the new holiday cartidge. Yippee :), Vanessa

  28. You girls need to love in Northern Michigan. I went to Walmart at 11:00 am and they still had all colors left. Even more surprising I went to Joannes at 6:00pm and they still had baby cricuts for $59.00. I guess we all have our cricuts up here.

  30. That looks like so much fun! I live in Canada so we don't get the Black Friday sales. :( One day I plan to travel to the U.S. to shop on Black Friday!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Went to walmart at 4am and was shocked to see all the expressions still there and even got the cartridges I was wanting! Looks like you guys had a fabulous time!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cute video, but I'm so jealous! Your line at Walmart was NOTHING compared to the one I went to! I got there at 11:45 pm & the store was literally jam packed! The lines for the registers went all the way to the back of the store, no kidding! Took us almost 2 hours just to check out! I shopped all night, too as we had a mall that opened at midnight....it was such a blast, though! Glad you had a great time, too!

    ReplyDelete
  33. You guys are so funny! You looked just like my sis and I on our BF adventure too. We were SO delirious! Love those new Cricuts! I wanted one but couldn't this year. Enoy!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. The best part is the expression on your faces before you hit play! It's so cute!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Fun video!! My best friend and I went to Walmart at 10p so she could stake her claim for her Expression - she had great luck at the pallet with very nice people as well - they organized it like you guys did with everyone picking the colors they wanted before so it wasn't crazy at midnight!

    ReplyDelete
  36. We got to our Wal-Mart at 11pm. There were SOOOOOOO many people the employees tried to have people create lines. When we got there at 11pm there were NO carts left, which was ok cause we were just getting some movies and my cartridges. They had 3 of each color machine and Im not sure how many carts, but not many at all! People were yelling and swearing and pushing. It was horrible! Oh and the lines, wow the long, long lines. Next time I will just wait for them to come on ebay, people were already selling them on ebay by 1am!

    ReplyDelete
  37. We went to Walmart at 11:30 and there was one lady at the Cricut stuff, she opened the box and got what she wanted and handed ours to us. Ours was way way crazy, like one lady got her thumb broken. People went mad at midnight, and the DVD's seem to be the hotest thing around. Well we found out that somethings you couldn't get till 5 am, so we sat in the isle of the baby section and waited, and waited and waited. We got Mcdonalds at around 2 and ate in the isle and waited and waited. More and more people came and joined us, we laughed and took turns going to the potty and watched each others stuff. Even my 7 month old Granddaughter stayed up all night and played with us. Really only one twenty min nap and she was going again. What a trooper. We get up front and found that the balloons with prices had been put up wrong so a few things we decided we didn't need at that higher price. So we could have actually left at midnight! LOL Lastly we went back to Walmart after dinner, and our Walmart had at least 6 expressions and alot of carts leftover, went to anther Walmart and they had about the same. Went to Michaels they had a huge amount of carts left as did Joannes. But Joanne's didn't have any machines left. So all in all I could have waited to a normal hour, but then who could have claimed having a picnic in the middle of a Walmart?

  39. Are you sure you weren't at our Wal Mart? It sound exactly the same except we opened our pallet and everyone around us had what they wanted by 11:45. My daughter and I were the first in line at check out also. I posted of picture of everything I got on my blog if anyone wants to peek. :-)

    Precious Hugs
    OmaGloria

PS Robyn if you still want a green one I think our Wal Mart still has more.

  40. I love your video. My daughter and I left our house at 2:30am and we stayed out shoping until 7:30am. We got some great deals. I know there had to be 10,000 people outside of Target, it was crazy and Kohl's lines were insane. Thanks for sharing. DeeDee Akerman

    ReplyDelete
  41. I woke up about 3am and logged onto the walmart website. Some of the deals were sold out, but managed to snag 2 of the lite carts for $20 each.

So great that you have each other as friends to go out and do the crazy Black Friday experience! I used to go with my hubby but in the last 3 years have gotten physically unable to get around well. That's ok, I didn't really NEED anything anyway! :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I stood by the pallet starting at 10:55pm. I was the only person by the pallet until about 11:45pm, then the mean pushy women showed up and were digging in the pallet trying to "see" the cartridges. Lucky for me I had my husband there with me and when the time came he pushed me close enough to get the 2 carts I wanted (while making sure I didn't get killed in the process). My Walmart had 3 pallets with machines on them, so after I got the carts I wanted and handed them off to DH, I moved to a machine only pallet and was calmly able to get a LIME GREEN one! After getting my machine we ran for the checkout and were out of Walmart by 12:11am!! It was just crazy!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Our walmart was a bit crazy, but I got there about 11:20, and there was only 3 people waiting by the cricuts. Our Walmart had two different bins set up. And like you we were all picking our color we wanted. It was nice that it wasn't crazy. But the store was really busy, I got in and right out....plus I got the jolly holiday cart that I wanted.
Then at 6:00 I went to michaels for the gypsy, oh but I didn't know they were open on thursday and they were all gone,, I was crushed... Came all the way home and I wasn't giving up.. So I called Joanns and asked if they price matched and they did and I took off once again.. I got it and it was the only one left !!! So I went from sad to Happy. Until I tried to drive home from the mall and my better half truck battery was dying and I had to drive all the way home in the dark with no lights. I couldn't call him to come get me because I took my keys with my bug key and I only have one key.. But I got home safe and now I need to figure out how to use gypsy... But you and Karlee looked like you had to much fun...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Your video was fun!!! I too was told in no uncertain terms that the new cartridges were NOT TO BE TOUCHED until 12:01!!! 12 on the dot got a little CRAZY!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. That shopping trip looked like FUN!!! The people (women) at the Cricut pallet at our WM were all nice, too! There was one rude person who came out of no-where and snatched all the carts though! :( I think the ladies that were standing there all got what we wanted anyway! SOO Fun, I got the aqua Cricut, TOO!!! YAY!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  46. I got to one of our Walmarts at 10 pm and the Cricut pallet was sitting right in fromt. There were 2 ladies standing by. We talked and looked at different cartridges and I gave them an crash course of the Cricut while we waited! The walmart where I was at is usually the busier one since it's attached to a strip mall. It was crazy but everyone was nice!
I sat in the line of Target for 2 hours in the pouring rain!! WE are crazy!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Looks like so much fun! This was the first time in YEARS that I haven't been able to go Black Friday shopping! I can't believe I'm still sick!!! :( Thanks for letting me shop vicariously with you!!!

    Hugs!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh my god!!! I can not believe how your Walmart was so not busy. The one I went to was cazy. Several fights broke out ove towels an rubermade containers and there were about 1000 people waiting at the one I went to! The lines were extremely crazy.

  49. My WalMart was way more crowded than yours. It was just CRAZY! I got the new lites that I wanted and one old one. Regular price, but I have seen on the Cricut MB that some people actually got them for $20. I should have made a fuss but after standng in line that lone,I just wanted to leave!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. WOW Robyn! Where do you live? You have got to see my video! It was so crazy just manuevering the store. CRAZINESS was my favorite to describe it! I did get a cartridge. Didn't have the $$$ for an E. Hoping to get it for Christmas. Disappointed that the other Cricut Lite cartridges were not on sale. I guess I misunderstood. Glad for you and KArlee though!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Wow! you two are brave. I would never attempt to go to Walmart on black friday. But it looks like you had fun.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Pretty soon, you'll have a cricut for each day of the week. Monday is aqua day. Tuesday is pink day. You could seriously have some major crops at your house. That's awesome. I loved the video and my husband loves "hearing" all of your videos. He says that he's got to meet Karlee and you one day because the two of you are just so fun!
We went shopping but was in no rush for anything. I got twinkle toes.

  53. I picked up the Zoo Cartridge and the Jolly Holidays one at the Walmart in Chesapeake, VA. I was there visiting family and strategically picked a hotel directly next to the local Walmart and Michaels. Walmart was a complete mad house!!! I was one of the lucky people who came upon an open Cricut pallet at about 10:30. I grabbed my two cartridges and a few other things, found an aisle and hid in it. The wonderful Walmart staff was taking things out of shopper's carts for early grabbing. My hiding worked and then I stood in line for an hour, but it was worth it! Looks like you guys had a great time :-)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thanks for sharing your BF madness!!! Glad you got your E's...I wanted aqua so bad, but couldn't justify it! Looks like Karlee got some goods!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I got an aqua one too!! Our Walmart was way way more crowded than that. It was a mad house!

  57. omgosh! my walmart experience was sooo hilarious!!! I got to the pallet and I was the only one there with my friend right next to me on the other pallet. It was such a fun experience. I got my LIME GREEN that matches with my scraproom and I was sooo happy. I do have the white expression but you still get excited, right??

Is it my imagination or does this Cricut cut nicer, faster and with hardly any noise??? my other expression is pretty new too but I did noticed the difference.

Anyway, super fun video and happy you all got your Expressions.
    Hugs,
    Dayami

  58. Let me just say, if you'd seen what the Walmart I went to looked like you'd have a heart attack. Certainly not quiet and empty like yours. The checkout line was right across from the Cricut pallet. Got my cartridges and checked out at 12:01. WooHoo!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I LOVE Black Friday.....my friends and I left the house at 7:30pm on Thursday and didn't get home until....6:30am on Friday!!! Whew! It was a LONGGGGGGG day! Looks like you and Karlee had as much fun as us!!! My two friends got the cricut at Walmart and we got a few of the cartridges too! I was really surprised at how many were left...I think it was a pallet of 12 and we only took 2!!! Not as popular as I thought they would be....

    ReplyDelete
  60. That was a great video. I went to my Bros for the Holiday - we went to the Walmart in Warsaw IN at 1:30 pm (Friday) and they had 6 left - they had 3 yellows (so I guess they weren't that popular). The cashier was even telling us about the price match to a local shop near by.. I bought 2 of the cartridges for 20.00 it was awesome. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Your Walmart was a dream..I am in NJ it was insane. They did not have the expression. What's better is no one in the store even knew what it was. I tracked down the store manager he said they did not get any expressions. I was delirious. It was two late to go to another walmart so I complained for what that was worth and drove home disappointed and disgruntle.
I tried to order it on line when I got home and it worked. I ordered the plum one it should be here in less than a week. I am so happy I got what I wanted it just took a lot out of me.. Also I was the first in line to get my gypsy from Michaels.. I was so excited. You were lucky to have Karlee with you. I go out every year by myself..

    ReplyDelete
  62. I sure enjoyed your video. This is the first year in a long time that I did not go out shopping early, so you helped me thru that withdrawal:)

  63. Hi Robyn & Karlee!!
LOVED your video! I didn't get to go BF shopping, but b/c of you guys, I got a little taste! My "E" had to go back to PC & I WISH I could have gotten one as a BACKUP! I am sooo having Cricut withdrawals--AND AT THIS TIME OF YEAR--I have sooo many cards & gifts to make! Thanks for taking us with you! Looks like you guys had a ball! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  67. One of our new 'traditions' is to go to the movies on Christmas day, when we moved to WA we left behind family, so by going to the movies it gave us a new tradition and the holiday is not so sad!

  68. Robyn.... I'm sooo glad you said it's ok to own another cricut! I Bought the Plum one and the Aqua One... even though I have the original... Sooo at least I don't feel sooo crazy now... LOL I loved both colors and just HAD to have them! Looks like you gals had a blast.... thanks for sharing your experience with us! :o)

  69. The Walmart I went to was even crazier than yours AND they didn't even get any of the Cricuts! I went there for 3 hours for no reason! Not to mention, they had no idea if they had them or not until 12:45... luckily they gave me a black one for $149!

I went in today (sat) night & they still have a lot of the Cric E left over for the same price. The cart are 25$ now. Looks like not many were sold. SHOCKING !!! Joann & Micheals also have a lot of their machines in store.

  78. You girls had sooo much fun. At my walmart there were a couple of clerks that would take the sale merchandise away from you if you got it early. I managed to get most on my list and did get Jolly Holidays and Four Legged Friends. Thought long and hard for Twinkle toes but put it back ( I had bought 3 cartridges the weekend before). Hope I don't live to regret the decision not to get TT. Ourstore was wall to wall people. There was a fight over the $1.33 towels. The newspaper reported a fight at Kohl's and a lady got punched in the face at our Target.

  80. I usually volunteer in a day program with develomentally challenged adults. Last year I volunteered at a leisure program on Christmas eve. There was Christmas music, carolling and the smell of baking. This may be politically wrong but most of these people grew up in institutions here in Canada. They now live in group homes. They have no family just paid staff and volunteers. The age range is between 30 and 60 and all they wanted that day was Santa. Everytime the door opened you could hear a pin drop. Some might say it's wrong to let them believe in Santa and I probably would have said the same thing in the past. I wssn't there when Santa arrived but when I saw them the next week that's all everyone talked about. This year I'm planning to spend the whole day there. I can't even put a name to what I felt but I know it was great.

  88. During Christmas, my grandma and I make tamales and deserts. We then have a big party with around 15 people. The best thing about Christmas is seeing the joy of everyone opening their presents. To me, giving is better than recieving. And that is what I do for Christmas with my family. Hope you have a good Christmas too.

  96. Enjoyed your video, but I have to say....you think your Walmart was crazy?! LOL You could not see the FLOOR in ours! Seriously. I got to ours about 11:30 and although still pretty much wrapped in plastic, a lot of cartridges were gone. I finally found ONE Jolly Holidays and grabbed it. One poor man was standing there "guarding" 6 cartridges. He was told by a Walmart employeed he could not leave the pallet with them. LOL

  97. My sister and I have been doing black friday for 20 years. We are crazy but it is the thrill of the hunt. Glad you had a good time. My sister got her expression she wanted. I already have one. We camped out from 7pm on Thanksgiving until the next day at 5am. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

  99. Wow - loved your video, makes me home sick for the states and all that crazy shopping. I cannot believe that so many people were in the stores at such a late hour and the line in front of Target - UNBELIEVABLE! If I was in the states, I would be one of those people in line too! Ha-Ha! Thanks for sharing it with us all, especially for someone like me-who loves to shop! So glad you and Karlee had such a great time! Big hugs to you both, Patty

  101. I got my expression on black friday last year at Walmart (moore, ok). The pallet was already open at 1130 but we had to wait in line til 5 to pay and it was crazy busy. Wish I could have gone this year for some carts, but I'm 8 months pregnant and broke my fibula the weekend before so I had to stay laid up at home all weekend. :( But it's ok, I made my hubby take me to M's on Thursday and I got the last gypsy they had, so I had a new toy to play with.

  107. These expressions are the same as the normal expressions? Are there any differences other than the pretty colors? I want one sooo bad in aqua to match my craft room.
