Episode 232 - Birthday Cake Card with Eyelets

Hello Friends!

I hope you are all having a great Tuesday evening! It has been such a crazy week already and it is only Tuesday!  Life is getting VERY busy with my children being involved in so many different things.  Good thing I have an iPhone this year where I can still keep up to date on my blog, e-mails, and Facebook while I am patiently waiting in the car.  :)

Here is a video I made today on using eyelets in your projects.  I hope you enjoy it!  I used Cricut Lite Celebrate with Flourish Cartridge for the cake and Everyday Life stamp set from My Pink Stamper Stamps.

Here is the what the full set of Everyday Life looks like.  You can check it out HERE on my Products page.

Facebook Giveaway!

Hello Friends!

I just posted a Facebook Giveaway of one of my new stamp set releases called Spooky Puns!  Follow this link over and leave a comment to enter!  Good luck everyone!

Cricut Thanksgiving Cartridge

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you all had a restful weekend.  Mine was pretty crazy but I guess that is just how life is going to be with so many small children running around.  I did get a lot of layouts planned yesterday so that is good.  Now I just need to put them together.

These napkin rings were made using the new Cricut Thanksgiving Seasonal Cartridge.  This is GREAT for your Thanksgiving Holiday preparations.  There is plenty on there you can use for place settings, center pieces, etc.  Hope you enjoy!

The ring was cut at 1 1/2 inches.  Gold Stickles were used for the leaf.

What have I been up to today?

Hi Everyone!

Okay, this is going to be more of a personal update but I just felt like sharing a bit about my life today.  I hope you don't mind.  :)  Today was my 12 year old's first cross country race.  They only ran 1 mile but this is quite an accomplishment for our family.  When I was her age I couldn't even run 1 mile at all.  I was kind of a quitter at that age and would give up easily.  She finished the race and that is the most important part.  Now that my hubby and I are marathon runners I am so happy that our children are picking up the sport at such a young age.  There is such a great feeling of accomplishment when you finish something you have been working towards and set your mind to.  I am so very proud of her.  She was getting a little discouraged when she finished because she felt like she was one of the last ones to cross the finish line.  Do you know what I told her?  I said that the most important part of that entire race for her was that she DID finish!  We are going to set personal goals for her so that she can try to beat her own personal best.

My daughter is on the left in the picture below.  Look at her sprinting towards the finish line!

My 3 boys had to entertain themselves somehow.  We were there for what seemed like a long time.  Don't you just love how my 8 year old is wearing my Cricut glasses upside down?  He said that he is a bug!  LOL!

After we returned home from the race I was in an organizing mood.  I finished cleaning out our major hotspot in our house, which is the treadmill/music room.  I also got the bug to organize My Pink Loft AGAIN!!  I put my crates with my millions of Stampin' Up! stamps away.  I just don't use them as much anymore now that I use my Cricut and my own line of stamps.  Of course, I couldn't completely put them away, they are just in the storage room that is attached to my office.  Still in arms reach.  :)  After the crates were gone I realized that I don't like the BIG blank space on my wall so I went to Hobby Lobby to get some material, batting, and ribbon.  Then off to Lowe's to get a 2 x 3 3/4 board.  I decided that I would make a HUGE display board to add the awesome cards that you guys send me every week! I want to look at them every day!  :)  My husband actually got involved with this project and we decided that I need to go and get a different type of board because this one is too hard to use a staple gun with. So...... I will be off to Lowe's and Hobby Lobby again on Monday to start all over.

Tonight, after I cleaned up my Loft a bit, I had to start getting ready for my trip to Craft's Direct next Friday!  I am teaching 3 classes and bringing 150 make & takes with me that I need to have packaged and ready to go for everyone.  That is what the picture is below.  Some of my organized chaos.  This upcoming week is going to be CRAZY!  I have so many deadlines and things coming up.  Wish me luck on keeping my ducks in a row!

Episode 231 - It's Cold Outside, a Challenge, and a Giveaway!

Hi Everyone!

Yikes!  I have been trying to upload this video for 3 full days now!  I have tried over 13 different times with waiting an hour or two each time only to have it not work!  What a huge pain, I'm telling ya!  I had to plug it into our modem, which is not going to work in the future, but I did get it to work this time.  Okay, no more complaining about it from me.  At least it is up now!  YAAAAAY!

Okay, here is a simple but super adorable card I made using Cricut 3 Birds on Parade along with my new stamp set Winter Punnies.  I have a challenge and a giveaway with this!

Challenge:  Make a Winter card, scrapbook page, or other craft item with your Cricut and share it here on the Inlinz link.  Everyone who enters one project will be in the drawing to win my NEW Winter Punnies stamp set!  This project needs to be started AFTER I post this.  Please do not post something that you have made previously.  That is why we call it a challenge.  LOL!  I will close this challenge on Wednesday at 7:59 AM and announce the winner shortly thereafter.  Good luck everyone!!

More Cricut Boys will be Boys Cartridge!

Hello again friends!

Here are some more projects I made using the brand new Cricut Boys will be Boys Cartridge that was released last Thursday during Hello Thursday.  To view the other projects I made with this cartridge click HERE.

I hope you enjoy these!!

Dino-mite Card

This is a basic A2 sized card which means that the base is cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.  The Dino-mite stamp is from Punny-licious My Pink Stamper Stamps.

Here is a Bind It All book that I made for my little 5 year old boy.  A very simple basketball cut was used for the front cover and regular white cardstock was used on the inside.

Aren't little boys so super cute!  Especially when they try to wear mommy's high heel shoes!!

This last layout is one of my favorites!  I love using primary colors on boy pages.  CUTE!

P.S.  Don't forget to check out my BFF's blog today!  She posted a really cute card!! www.karleekrafts.com
