I hope you are having a very special Mother's Day and spending it with the ones you love. My day has been fantastic. We had an excellent church service where different members of our church spoke about mother's and how much they have influenced their lives. During the last hour of our 3 hour block we had a very uplifting lesson on prayer and then ended the day with goodies for moms and all the women. I have felt special and am very grateful for all that I have. My children and husband are making me dinner in bed since my hubby had to leave extra early in the morning, ahead of us, to attend meetings before church. They are making waffles and I am not sure what else. My 10 year old keeps telling me to go to bed and take a nap so that when I wake up it will be just like breakfast in bed. She is a sweetie! I will probably take her up on that in a little bit. It is still too early for dinner. :) All of my children have made me something from their hearts which I will get after dinner. My children and husband gave me the best gift of all yesterday. They put away my laundry!!!! I had an entire LARGE basket of socks that needed to be put together. Every morning we would all rummage through the basket in hopes of finding a matching pair. LOL! They matched them all up and now I have an extra laundry basket. Whatever will I do with it?
On another note, I just found out this morning that my grandmother's sister, who is my great aunt, passed away last night. My grandma had just arrived at my mother's house in Utah yesterday morning and found out later that she had passed after she left. She turned around and went back home to Montana this morning to attend to the family and be there for the funeral. We are hoping that she will make it back to Utah in time for my little sister's wedding this coming Friday. I feel very sad for my grandma. She was very close with this sister. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
I was looking through my photos a few minutes ago and I found some goodie bags that I made a few Sundays ago, which I forgot to share with you all. I am just about to scrapbook and my family is giving me some time to myself for a bit while they get everything ready. :) I have the best family ever!
We made these cookies and treat bags to give to our children's teachers at church. Since everyone in our church is a volunteer and nobody is paid for their service we thought it would be a great way to show these teachers how much we appreciate all of their time & service. Cookies are always a bright spot in anyone's day!
