Happy Mother's Day & More...

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are having a very special Mother's Day and spending it with the ones you love.  My day has been fantastic.  We had an excellent church service where different members of our church spoke about mother's and how much they have influenced their lives.  During the last hour of our 3 hour block we had a very uplifting lesson on prayer and then ended the day with goodies for moms and all the women.  I have felt special and am very grateful for all that I have.  My children and husband are making me dinner in bed since my hubby had to leave extra early in the morning, ahead of us, to attend meetings before church.  They are making waffles and I am not sure what else.  My 10 year old keeps telling me to go to bed and take a nap so that when I wake up it will be just like breakfast in bed.  She is a sweetie! I will probably take her up on that in a little bit.  It is still too early for dinner.  :)  All of my children have made me something from their hearts which I will get after dinner.  My children and husband gave me the best gift of all yesterday.  They put away my laundry!!!!  I had an entire LARGE basket of socks that needed to be put together.  Every morning we would all rummage through the basket in hopes of finding a matching pair.  LOL!  They matched them all up and now I have an extra laundry basket.  Whatever will I do with it?

On another note, I just found out this morning that my grandmother's sister, who is my great aunt, passed away last night.  My grandma had just arrived at my mother's house in Utah yesterday morning and found out later that she had passed after she left.  She turned around and went back home to Montana this morning to attend to the family and be there for the funeral.  We are hoping that she will make it back to Utah in time for my little sister's wedding this coming Friday.  I feel very sad for my grandma.  She was very close with this sister.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I was looking through my photos a few minutes ago and I found some goodie bags that I made a few Sundays ago, which I forgot to share with you all.  I am just about to scrapbook and my family is giving me some time to myself for a bit while they get everything ready.  :)  I have the best family ever!

We made these cookies and treat bags to give to our children's teachers at church.  Since everyone in our church is a volunteer and nobody is paid for their service we thought it would be a great way to show these teachers how much we appreciate all of their time & service.  Cookies are always a bright spot in anyone's day!

  31. How cute those bags are! I received my new My Pink Stamper sets yesterday, but have yet to find the time to get into my craft room and use them. Unfortunately, nursing school is just to demanding to allow me some time to craft, even on Mother's day! I hope you have a wonderful dinner/breakfast in bed. You deserve a bit of spoiling for all you do for others! Happy Mother's Day to a fellow mommy.

Well on to better thoughts becaude you have a wedding to look forward too. so exciting.

  47. So happy to hear your family are giving you the Royal treatment, you`re a super Mom. So sorry to hear about your Granma`s sister, my prayers are with her. Our daughter, husband and grandaughters drove halfway to meet up and spend the day together. It was wonderful. The girls made me a box they made with some homemade Mango bath salts in it and I got 2 hanging baskets. My hubby got me a Pink Journey cricut expression. So I too was spoiled. I was in need of some cheering up, we had to say goodbye to our kitty of 15 years, it has left a big hole in my heart.
    Happy Mother`s Day Robyn.

Thanks for sharing about your family today. Breakfast in bed sounds yummy! I am so sorry to hear about your Great Aunt. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during such a difficult time. My mom lost her only living sibling (out of 9 kids) last year and it has been hard on her because they lived so far from each other.

Hope you have a wonderful week sharing with your family during a special event for your sister.
The treat bags you made were adorable.

  49. My sympathies on your loss. I will keep your Grandmom in my prayers.

I am so glad you had a special day. With all the hard work you do online for us, you certainly deserve a day to relax a few minutes.

When my kids were little we had an almost FULL green trash bag of socks! lol I probably still have them somewhere in the attic! (And any time they needed nice clean ones (summer camps and vacations) we just bought new ones that wound up being added to the ever growing green bag.)

  65. Oh Robyn!!!
I am so sorry to hear that your Grandma lost her sister...My grandmas was a twin and my 2 oldest daughters are named after the 2 of them.

Your Laundry Sock story made me cringe!!! That is my worst nightmare...(I'm sure it is for most type-A people) I have 3 daughters and myself...so 4 sets of girly socks...I can't sleet unless they all get matches up. I count as they go in and count as they come out. NO ONE rummages if thy know what is good for them.

So glad that all your crew "worked" to make your day special...

    10,000 Blessings,
    Valerie Martin

P.S. My Sweet husband SURPRISED me with the Create-A-Critter Cartridge. He usually does not do that b/c he know how picky I am and does not want to get it wrong. But he said this was easy because I would not STOP talking about the cart...and FORCED him to sit down and watch all your CRITTER videos!!!
