Scrapbook Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday Everyone!!

I hope you are all having a terrific day!!  Church was wonderful and everything went well, except for the incident where my 3 year old delicately put his two hands on one of his teacher's cheeks, looked her in the eyes and said "You're Ugly!"  LOL!!  She was laughing when she told me.  We don't even think he knows what that means but he still got the "It's not nice to........ " talk.  :)

I am just sitting down to do some family history AKA "scrapbooking" and thought I would make it a challenge for anyone who wants to participate with me.  Here is a sketch I got off of http://www.kiwiscraps.com/TMS/page2.jpg.  It looks like a great 2 page layout to me!  If you are a card maker you can use one of the sketches for inspiration.  Just post a link of your project in the comments of this post.  I am not going to do a gallery call for this one since it is my "rest" day, and I am not really working on MPS stuff.  Just a fun challenge with all of you.  Here is the sketch, now go and be inspired!!!

Here's mine............... ( The vellum is covering up his picture for safety reasons.)

What a cute story about your son! I hope you have a great day off. You deserve it!

  7. I teach 3 to 5 year olds and they can come up with some of the cutest things and say some of the most... "GASP" kind of things too! LOL They are so precious and I love them to pieces! I also find a lot of times they don't understand the meaning of some things they say. But, I also know that you can't underestimate small children. They understand more than we give them credit for. :) Children pick up quickly and repeat the things they hear and see even if they don't understand it. They interpret things different than they are.

This looks like a fun layout to work with. I just might do this. Not today, but I like this layout. It's nice.
    God Bless!

  20. The most embarrassing thing my 3 year old said was last year. We were at the grocery store about to get fish from the seafood section. My daughter says to the guy behind the counter "I farted" and she starts laughing. Kids say the silliest things. Gotta love them tho.

It was very quit so we just hurried out. I'm not sure if she heard her but I did. KIDS you love them anyway.

  43. When I was teaching 2nd grade Sunday School one of the boys (really cute kid but there were times . . .) asked me, during a lesson of course, if I remembered the dinasaurs (sp?). I just looked at him, said Yes, and kept on with the lesson. That was many many years ago now but I still get of a kick out of thinking there is some adult out there who tells his kids that he had a Sunday School teacher who remembered the dinasaurs! Love your sons remark - bet he meant beautiful!

  44. Hey Robyn, I love this layout. I haven't scrapped in quite awhile. I've been just making cards. I have a 'friend' word book to do about my bff Rhonda. She passed away a couple of years ago, and I still can't get started! Oh well, eventually. And I thought I should tell you that the vellum isn't really protecting your kids. I can still see him clearly. So maybe two pieces? Or somepatterned vellum? Just thought I'd let you know! Thanks for sharing.

I just read the script to my 15 year old who had his appendix out yesterday and he was laughing so much he thought he had burst his stitches, then turned to me and said 'I hope she is going to scrap it lol'.
