Sunday Challenge!

I bet you didn't think I would be on here today since it's Sunday. Our church has been cancelled due to the ice/snow on the ground. A lot of you know that I don't normally do anything My Pink Stamper related on Sunday if I can help it. I have set aside this day for family, faith, & friends. That got me thinking .........wouldn't it be great to do a special kind of challenge. A challenge where we are giving of our talents? This is what I am thinking.....

Create a card or project and be prepared to GIVE IT AWAY! If you are making a card, actually write a note to someone, seal it, address it, and be ready to send it tomorrow. If you are making a goodie bag, deliver it this week.

Here are card ideas.....
*Cards for troops
*Someone who is sick
*Someone who needs a lift
*A new mother
*Your mom or dad, brother or sister
*Your husband or wife
*Your children
*Your neighbor

Let someone know what they mean to you. We are in the business of making cards but how often do we remember to send them out?? That is why we began in the first place, remember?

Okay, once you get your project or card done we would love to see it! Post a link in the comments here. If you have time to make more than one, do it!!! Lift someone up this week!!

Robyn thats a great idea. We are in the business of making cards so lets get to it. I'm sorry you are snowed in,I didn't think you all got that much snow in oklahoma. I live in N.J., the northwestern part where we have open space, and all of our snow is gone. Its cold out but the sun is warm.Enjoy the rest of your day. Dee at ed0946@ptd.net

Hey Robyn! What a great idea. My DH is a youth minister and had left yesterday with my Ds #1 to go speak at a youth rally. I made them both cards to stick in the suitcase. They were nothing fancy but my 5 yr old was delighted when his daddy read it to him last night before bed. I agree there is no need to make cards if the end result doesn't put a smile on someone's heart!

These challenges have got my creative juices flowing again over the weekend. I am about to do 2 Thank You cards for people who have driven us around this weekend as our car broke down Friday. Also it has challenged me to start a blog and to start documenting the creative things I do. Thanks, Robyn, for all of your inspiration!!! <3

Robyn,
its always better to give than to receive. I'm actually working on two cards for 2 dads at my kids school. I was having car trouble (ran over a huge rock and couldn't get myself out..lol) They really came through for me. I laugh at the situation now but while it was happening I was freaking out. I'll post it on your facebook when I get done with them.

Wow! This is too much of a coincidence!! While I was slaving away this weekend on typing papers...something I knew I'd be doing the beginning of the month...it's so cool to see a challenge that I've already done and will actually participate in today!!

I was too busy to make cards, goodies or even sign a store-bought card for my teachers at Christmas, and I felt so guilty. So before my last semester of grad school, I was inspired by you and Christina to make Valentine goodie bags. I'm going to stuff the boxes at school today at one campus and tomorrow at the other campus

great idea. It reminded me to send another card to the mother of an on-line friend from SCS. The mom is losing her faculties but loves cards, so I sent her one a few weeks ago, in response to the SCSer's request. Another is now stamped and addressed for today's mail. Thanks Robyn

Hey Robyn, I sent out 4 cards today. I am one of the Cricut Card Fairies. 3 of the cards were to folks through that group. And one is to a friend from the Cricut message board who has been bedridden with her back for over a week! I couldn't take photos of them as my battery charger for my camera is down! Gggrrrrrr! I'm not buying a new one until I get a new camera. So no photo's for me for awhile.

I make about half my items to be given away. I have to admit that it is sometimes hard to let them go. But I always take a picture and still have a piece to keep! Here is my entry for the challenge...

Hi Robyn:

I just read this post for the first time, (it's Tuesday Evening), but the good news is, I've already conquered this challenge! I made 14 really cute cards for the staff at work who are trying to lose weight in our "Biggist Loser" contest. I wrote a personal note of encouragement to each participant.
I was snowed in over the weekend as well, so had the time to do this. Thank you for your inspiration!
