Our prayers and hearts go out.....

I am so saddened by the news of the devastation in Haiti right now due to the earthquake. My heart and prayers go out to them. I am adding a link to the Red Cross if anyone would like to donate. There are other places you can donate through, as well.

My heart is in pieces because of this. I pray for strength so they can manage until rescued. I do not want to even imagine been in a catastrophe like it. I pray to God for mercy too. Mercy for all of us.

This devastating disaster reminds me of Hurricane Katrina. I know how they feel because we had to find our family members not knowing if they were dead or alive. It took months to find our family. Most of us made it alive but, some of us died horribly. I hope they fair as well as they can and get as much help as they can. New Orleans is still not very occupied or even slightly rebuilt at all. Total devastation! N. O. will never be the same, Haiti unfortunately won't either. So sad.

I agree! We have a missionary that our church supports who works exclusively in Haiti building churches and schools. It is such a poor country and I just can't imagine the pain, heartache and struggle that they are all facing right now.

I donated to Doctors Without Borders. They may have lost some colleagues. I want to be sure there is money for the victims to get proper medical care.

Keeping them in my prayers.

My heart and prayers go out to those people; a former coworker of mine had 2 children injured in the quake. I also share the sentiments expressed by Live, Love and Scrap. Disasters like this make me pause and thank God for the many blessings he has given me.

We are hoping and praying for the best for our sponsor child in Haiti and thanking God for the local churches there, who are, apparently, already reaching out to their devestated communities. May the world rally around to ensure that although nothing can make up for this disaster, there may be better times ahead for the Haitian survivors.
