Disney Classics Cricut Cartridge 2 Page Layout

Hi Everyone!!

It is Wednesday and a great day so far!  The workers are mudding the drywall today and they should be done with everything by next week.  That means all I will need to do is the painting, lighting, and then carpeting.  My island for filming my Cricut DVDs and videos is being custom built so I need to go today and pick out my counter top for it.  Not sure of the color yet.  Something that will showcase the projects easily and work well with my professional lighting. :)  So much fun!!!  I'm getting antsy about it getting finished.  I have two big projects that I will need to finish before CHA that I need to get cracking on!  :)

Here is a fun and bright 2 page scrapbook layout using the upcoming Disney Classics Cricut Cartridge.  I hope you like it!

I will be picking all 12 winners from the 12 Days of Christmas in a bit.  :)

Day 11 - 12 Days of Christmas!!

Hello Everyone!

Wow!  Only two more days until Christmas!  Where has the time gone?  There seems to be so many different things going on around here.  2010 was a wonderful year and I have all of you to thank for that!

Tonight we are having friends over for an early Christmas Eve.  Every year, since the year we were dating, we have had "Make Your Own Pizza" night on Christmas Eve and then acted out the Nativity.  This is a tradition from my hubby's side of the family.  Since we have been invited to another friend's house tomorrow we decided to go ahead and have our tradition tonight.  People will be arriving in about 2 hours so I need to hurry and start the dough.  Everyone gets to make their own pizza!  Doesn't that sound like fun?  I found my dough recipe this year from and it is called Pizza Dough 1.

We also let the kids open up one present (which is always a pair of new jammies that they instantly change into for Christmas morning).  We will probably do that one tomorrow night when we return.

Here are pictures of us from last year on Christmas Eve.  Do you all have any fun Christmas Eve traditions?

This was the first year that we didn't have a real baby for the baby Jesus.  I normally have a bundle of joy that we use.  :)  It looks like it will be dolls until the grandbabies start to arrive.  Not too soon, though!  My oldest daughter is only 12!
Daddy gets to be the donkey every year!  LOL!!  The kids love that.  Don't know how many more years he is going to be able to do that one.  :)
For today's giveaway the winner gets to pick ANY two My Pink Stamper items.  I have 17 stamp sets to choose from and 4 DVDs!

Just leave a comment sharing a tradition your family has.  If you don't celebrate Christmas then please share one of your family's traditions.  :)

Day 10 - 12 Days of Christmas - Jolly Holidays Giveaway!

I hope you are all having the HAPPIEST Wednesday EVER!  I'm doing all right!  I got up, went to the gym and ran 2 miles (yes, my foot is still in pain), then went to Weight Watchers where I was informed that I've gained 1.2 pounds since my last visit.  That's okay because what goes up must come down, right?  I am more motivated then ever to get my body back to good health even if it is before the holidays.  You can check out my weight loss blog HERE or Facebook page HERE if you would like to join me in my continued journey.

Okay, so I thought today we would just have a fun giveaway!  I was able to pick up another Jolly Holidays and I thought I would give it away to one of you guys!!  It will be great for those Christmas & Winter scrapbook pages when you get your pics developed.

Just leave a comment on THIS post with what you like to do in the Winter Time!  Easy Peasy!!

I am thankful for......

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I thought I would share with you the top things that I am thankful for in my life...

#1 - My Family
I feel like I have been blessed with the best family in the world.  Although my life is very chaotic most of the time, I am grateful for the people who make the noise. Just maybe not the noise.  :)

My big brother Jeff, who I got to see this past Spring for the first time in 14 years!  It was such a great reunion!!
My mom, who I wish lived closer so we could go shopping and craft more!  My little sister Amber, who I am so happy for that she found her eternal companion and gets to do what she loves the most and share with others......act!
My sister Christy, who is like a best friend more than a sister.

#2 - Friends
My Bestest Friend Karlee
So much to say about my bestie!  Karlee and I have been buds for about 3 years now and I am soooo grateful!    We have the funnest times together EVER.  I am so lucky that someone likes me enough to visit me every few months and go to My Pink Stamper events!  That is a true friend!
My awesomest friend Julie
Julie has been a friend of mine for many years now.  She is always there if I need something and helps me soooo much!  It is nice that our daughters are BFFs, too!

#3 - My Awesome Hobby & Friends
I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am that my husband bought me a Cricut after my 5th baby was born.  Not only did that bug help me overcome my postpartum depression but it opened up a whole new world of online friends and possibilities.

2x's a year now Karlee and I get to attend CHA where we have met the most amazing people and made the best of friends.  This is Jinger below who is the spokesperson for Provo Craft and she is just a doll!

I'm so grateful for my friend, Tammy.  We get to work together on Hello Thursday projects for Provo Craft and I couldn't be happier.  She is the sweetest, most  giving person I know.  She does so many kind acts of service that you will never even know about because Tammy is the type of person who keeps a lot of them to herself. That is a great example to us all!
I am thankful for all of my helpers from CHA and all of my Design Team members past & present.  I have been very blessed to work with the kindest people on the planet!
I am thankful that, even as a stay at home mom of 5, I get to do what I love and share with others.  That is truly what I love about this hobby!
I am thankful that the Lord has blessed my talent and turned it into something more.  Not only am I able to share what I love with others but I am able to travel and have new experiences.

#4 - My Church
Where do I even start here?  This should actually be more at the top of my list.  I am so thankful for my Father in Heaven and the Plan of Salvation.  I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 22 years old and had just had the worst year of my life.  I am so eternally grateful to know that I cannot only live with Him again someday but that I can live with my family forever.

I am also thankful to live in a place where we have the freedom of religion and we get to decide what we believe.

#5 - Exercise
I am thankful that I was able to learn how to get my body healthy before it was too late!  Here is my before picture.

I cannot believe that I was able to lose 50 pounds and train for a marathon all in 8 months!!  It is amazing what our bodies can do when we push them to their limits.

Even though I have gained back about 14 pounds I am still grateful that I have the right tools to get my body in shape and healthy again.  I will start updating again starting Monday.  My journey is beginning again.

I just want you to know that I am thankful for all of you, too.  Whether you have been with me from the beginning of my blog or if you are brand new.  YOU motivate me, encourage me, and inspire ME!!

Relief Society Activity

Hello Everyone!!

I hope you all have had a terrific day!  I had a very relaxing day.  I took a few days off of officially blogging since it is going to be a busy rest of the week with My Pink Imagine-Nation Wednesday and Hello Thursday.  Busy, busy!!

Tonight we had a Relief Society Activity at my church building.  In our church the Relief Society Organization is made up of all women 18 and over.  It came about as a way for the women in our church in the early days to help bring "relief" to those in need by service.  We had a fun activity tonight by holding a Service Auction.  It was awesome!!  There were about 40-50 of us ladies there and we all donated one or two service items or acts to auction off.  I donated a pack of my cards and some homemade cookies.  We all earned points to bid with by the things we had accomplished this week, month, and even today.  Some examples were like...... Give your kids a hug (20 points each child), made your bed today, told someone you loved them, did a Random Act of Kindness, etc.  It was amazing how great the items of service were that other women donated.  We have a very successful lawyer who donated a free one hour consult, many cooks who donated home cooked meals to others, two ladies who donated their pools and backyards for a pool party, and someone even donated their boat for a day on the lake!!  Amazing how giving everyone was.

The great thing about tonight was that I really felt the spirit of service.  I wanted to do so much for everyone!  If someone didn't get the dinner they bid on I was thinking in my head that I should take that family dinner.  If someone didn't get that hour of free babysitting I was thinking that I should offer to take their baby for the day so they can get something done.  It is so awesome to be a part of this great work that we are put on the earth to do.  When we serve others we can truly find who we are and the potential we have within us.  :)

Here is a picture I took of me with one of the sister missionaries in our church. She gets to go home tomorrow and she has been away from her family for 1 1/2 years and has only talked to them a couple of times.  Another act of service that I am totally in awe of.  :)

I hope you all have a beautiful night and feel inspired as I was to serve others.  :)

Weekend Update (Marathon)

Happy Monday Everyone!

Wow!  This has been quite the weekend.  Should I share?  Okay, if you insist!  Friday afternoon I hopped on a plane with my husband to head off to Utah where he would be running the Top of Utah Marathon on Saturday morning.  This was the marathon that I was supposed to run, too, but I seem to have a heel injury, which we think is Heal Plantar Fasciitis.  I am going to get it checked out this week.  Until then, I have purchased my first pair of Dr. Scholl's Orthopedic inserts.  If I didn't feel like I was getting old before, now I really do!  LOL!  Bring it on!  4-0 ... here I come!

When we arrived at our hotel we realized that we did not have any internet access.  That kind of made it a bit hard on me since I was planning on working on Pink Stamper stuff while he was running in the early am before I went to meet him.  So, I decided to sleep in (which was wonderful) and then wake up and head out to cheer him on.  On a personal note...  It was really hard for me at first to watch the marathon runners because I wanted to be out there running soooo bad!  After a few minutes of feeling sorry for myself I decided that I was there for a reason and that was to be a support to ALL who were running.  Let me tell you... I was the BEST cheerleader EVER!  If I am not able to ever run a marathon again, I am going to always be the person who cheers them on.  It was a very emotional and fulfilling experience.   I saw so many people who inspired me!  It was amazing!  I had a sign I had cut out before I left that said "RUN BRYAN" with a shoe on it that I put together that morning since it is hard to travel with a poster already made!  I was waiting in front of Joann's which was about 2 miles from the finish line.  Although, I never actually got to go in and shop.  (boo hoo).

Once I saw my husband coming up I freaked out and grabbed his sign and yelled as loud as I could.  I then dropped the sign and ran with him the last 2 miles of the race.  It was so awesome to be able to encourage him at this point.  If you have ever ran a marathon, you know that the last stretch is the hardest.  Mentally you almost want to give up.  Your body definitely wants to give up but you have to just push through it.  Even though my heel paid the price later, it was so worth it being able to share this experience with my husband.  He beat his time from last year and finished in 3 hours 56 minutes!  That's pretty good for only running your first one a year before!  Next year I am going to run it, too.  Hopefully my heel will be better by then.

Here is my hubby after he finished the race.  Smiling even though he is in pain!  It is a GREAT feeling to finish the race!

This is my sweet sister in law Mary, who trained and ran her first (and last) marathon!  She is a mother of 6 children and such an example to me.  Go Mary!!

I am trying to get everything in order today after traveling and being sick last week.  I actually have dinner already started in the crock pot!  Can you believe that?  I just threw a whole chicken in the crock pot, added 1 cup of water and a packet of onion soup mix.  Put it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours.  Yummy!
