Robyn, that was an awesome video. The best part was you stopping to take care of your baby. Kudos for putting them first. The Gypsy is looking really attractive. Can't wait for more. Thanks!

Okay you must bring it to the crop!!! I can't wait to see more!!! Thanks for taking the time to make us videos, especially when you have all that stuff going on at home!!! I really do appreciate it!! I wasn't quite sure what this Gypsy thing was all about....but I do now!!! :)

Thanks Robyn, Can't wait to learn more about the Gypsy.

Yvonne said...

Robyn, that's awesome !!!

Is The Gypsy from Provo Craft too ?
Are they already sell to public ?
I can't wait to buy.

Megan Gravener said...

Thanks for the video Robyn! My only question and concern with it and the reason I didn't buy it is because I was told at M's that if you upload your Cartridges onto the Gypsy the Gyspy empties the Cart and you can't ever just use the Cartridges again. Is that really true and do you think that would get annoying and/or be a problem? Just curious what your thoughts are on it! :)

txbluiz said...

thanks for the great preview!! I can't wait to try it out myself!

The gypsy is amazing!!! I wish I had one now. But Christmas is coming and I can ask Santa for one.

Keep up the videos, Robyn. I look forward to them always

Cindy Stark said...

I NOW KNOW WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!! Holy Moly that is AMAZING...I had no idea what this did. Thank you for showing us and getting us super excited about this new product. No more taking cartridges and booklets to crops...just that beautiful device.

Cristee said...

Megan,
I have been doing research on the Gypsy. It is NOT true that it wipes your carts once you up load them. However it does put a lock on them so you cannot upload them to other gypsy's. But dont worry in my research I have found out that if your gypsy were to break and you would need to get a new one there would be a way to upload your carts to your new gypsy. So in summary your carts WILL still work on your cricut but can NOT be uploaded to other gypsy. I hope those help answer your questions.

Robyn,

Thanks for taking us with you on your first go at the Gypsy. I am still looking forward to what else you have to say about it. Im still questioning the purchase. But it is exciting!

Di&Co said...

Thanks Robin, super cool toy!

mommyfink said...

Hey Robyn, I have to ask you....when you are "being the voice of the gypsy" :) Do you say "My name is AlaynaBug?"? I heard it and thought that the Gypsy actually said that and I thought I HAVE to get it now. That is what we call my daughter Alayna....she is our little AlaynaBug. LOL

thanks for the video!!

Melissa said...

I want one of these so bad!!! But, I'm determined to wait until Christmas in hopes of getting it at a decent price.

GREAT! I preassumed I wasn't going to like it...I can not lie...it's a mini computer! I must start saving my pennies! Thanks alot Robyn! ;^p

Jamie Holm said...

Thanks for the video, Robyn! One question, though...Is there a limit to the number of cartridges that you can upload to the Gypsy? Will it only "hold" so many at one time or could you upload a large number of carts to it?

Muttshouse said...

Robyn,

Another awesome video as usual. Thanks for giving us a clean clear view of the gypsy. You are making it look too easy!

Could you address the "view" issue in a future video? I like to have letters cut about 3/4". Will I be able to easily design at that scale on the gypsy? How long does the battery last before needing to be charged? Can the G be charged/run using the Gobe?

~craftykaren~ cricut mb

My Creative Time said...

I actually have the same question as Jamie Holm, Up to how many cartridge can you upload to the gypsie? So far I like what I see!! great video Robin!:)

MicheleV said...

You get to have all the fun ....but I sure am glad you share everything with us!
You are the best teacher ...when I got my cricut I got DS with it and could not figure out how to use it without DS - your videos taught me how! Thanks Robyn, look forward to more gypsy videos.

dotygirl said...

This looks like a great new toy. Humm..wondering though if your left handed how easy is it to work with? Can't wait to see more videos. Thanks for your videos and putting your children first. You're a great person.

Emily S said...

Ooooooohhhhhh.... still not quite worth the $300 for me yet but I'm sure you have ways of convincing me otherwise :)

Veronica said...

Robyn, I have to ask. Was the Gypsy a gift from Provocraft?

Also, thanks for walking us through this new Gypsy.

I like that the Gypsy is small enough to keep right next to your Cricut without being bulky. But I think I would prefer making designs on my laptop because the screen is larger. However, that Gypsy is an awesome creation!

Thanks,

Veronica in California

Amy said...

Thanks for the awesome demo Robyn!! The more I see of the Gypsy, the more I like it. I really like the idea of cropping with it and not lugging all of my carts with me.

Hugs,
Amy ♥

Yolanda said...

I agree with Veronica, I like working with a bigger screen. I have Sure Cuts A Lot and I love it. I also have a several carts for my Cricut. I don't know if I will be willing to dish $300 for it. Nice videos though! Enjoy watching them. :)

Thank you for that Video Pinky! I always thought it was a cool gadget to have, but more and more I believe its so much more! I love how you load, cut and unload from the G!! Also, love how it tells you to check your blade depth and pressure. I can't wait for the 24th to watch HSN!

Thanks again and I can't wait for the next videos!

michelled said...

Thanks Robyn, I didnt think I wanted a gypsy.... but now I have to have one! lol Even though its 300.00 you do get two cartridges preloaded onto it so taking that into account you are really only paying about 200.00 for the gypsy and the rest for the two carts.

Hey Robyn

Thanks for the info on the Gypsy. It is an interesting product and I can't wait to see more videos.

I still don't have the cricut expression, so that's next on my list! I have been using the baby bug 4ever! Gypsy will have to wait on me until I get my Expression.

Thanks for your hard work sharing videos. Have a FABULOUS day!

mommyto3bugs said...

Thanks for the video! It looks really easy to use and the screen isn't as bad as I thought it would be... but I still can't stomach $300 for it, even with 2 pre-loaded cartridges. I'll just have to wait until the price comes down, I suppose!

Thanks for sharing! And good for you for stopping to take care of your kids! :-)

OK, so I'm probably one of the only people who thought this gadget seemed kind of lame...who really wants to design cuts away from home? Duh, the real benefit is loading all the cartridges so that you don't have to run back and forth to the boxes all the time! It takes me a while sometimes, but eventually I catch on.

Your a wife, a mother to 5, hold callings in your church, take care of your home, stamp and scrapbook, make videos for us, and went on a healthy eating journey to reach your goals. You're like a superhero!! I am so proud of you. I know you are going to Utah (Logan) on Friday, and I wanted to see you at the finish line, but I'm not sure if I'll make it up there or not; but know that I will be there with you in spirit! Thanks for the video on the Gypsy, but I have to ask - is this product really necessary? I think the design studio is so much better. It's cute that they've designed the Gypsy to look "cool" -like a hand held PS3 video game or touch screen ipod. But, you have a screen that's much smaller than a computer. I'm not keen on squinting to see what I'm working on - esp. when you are trying to create your own designs. Being fortunate enought to have a laptop, I already have the portability, plus, with DS, I can test out any new cartridges that I may be interested in purchasing. Another negative is the fact that Provocraft "locks" the cartridges once you download them on Gypsy so that you can't use them on another one unless you report to them. I understand they want to protect their copyright designs, but I'm not keen on having to ask them to unlock a product that I've already paid for. Going through a customer service line to get access to my product - kinda stinks to me. Sorry, but IMHO, this product can stay on the shelves.
