  4. Oh my gosh, your little monkey is adorable! I'm curious to see how you compare the SCA with the DS. I'm debating which one to buy and like you, I usually use my Mac. I'm not sure if my memory serves me well, but I think I may have read on a thread somewhere that Cricut has a DS for Mac in the works. You'll have to correct me if I'm wrong. In any case, I can't wait much longer. I'm leaning towards buying the DS but I look forward to seeing what you can with the SCA. Have a great weekend!

  10. Your little monkey is adorable! So glad you and your family are having a great start to summer. Does using the SCAL void the warranty on the DS? Good luck on your 10K!

  14. OH MY GOSH ROBYN!!! If you got the SCAL program, you're going to want to know about inkscape. It's FREE (i love that word) and you can take ANY (almost any) image, scan it, open it in inkscape and make it a SVG file that you then can open in SCAL and cut. I've taken the nugget box, the scallop diaper pattern, and many more and use it with my cricut. Here is an AWESOME website for SCAL AND inkscape. They offer FREE (theres that word again) SVG files and if you need help creating one, there are many people there that will do it for you, or help you.

  18. I heard that if you use SCAL then it voids your Cricut warranty. Is this true? I have DS but I've been thinking about SCAL. I just purchased the E so I don't want to void the warranty!

    BTW, your son is adorable.

  23. Robyn.

I'm new to SCAL, but I get a lot of great help from the SureCutsAlotUsers Yahoo Group.
They not only provide really quick help when you get stuck on SCAL, I have gotten/seen inkscape help, generic Cricut help etc. It's a very active group, with folks correcting issues you have with your files as well as they maintain a library of pretty cool SCUT files. Nost of the questions are answered within an hour Enjoy!

  27. I am so tickled to read that you have SCAL. I have it, too, and am just starting to play with it. I chose it because I can cut any font on my computer and all the shapes, etc. from my digital scrap kits. I hope to cut some of the wonderful silhouette shapes, too.

I will be waiting to see what you create with SCAL. I am sure it will be amazing just like all your shares.

Continue having a wonderful vacation. Your "little monkey" is adorable.

    Big Hugs!

  28. I missed your 4th of July race! We were actually moving from Utah County that day :)

I'm excited too to see your videos on SCAL!! I have had mine for a few months and am LOVING IT! I wish I could learn more about designing my own on Inkscape.

Your videos are great. Enjoy your summer. Mine is busy too, I'll look forward to more videos when things slow down.
