Episode 116 - Organizing Ribbon Tip

  1. Great idea. Do you think you can do a video on how you buy your coordinating paper, inks, ribbon, embellishments? It takes me so long to put my supplies together...the east part is making the card or layout! Do you buy a paper color and order the ink and ribbion at the same time?

  3. I am going to look for that "handle" style of storage box, I've tried a couple of different containers and they never work.

  4. TFS, that is a great idea. I put my in a basket, but then have to go thru it to find the right color. This way you know what you have, great tip. I will look at wally world for that next time. I buy a lot of storage things for for crafts there already. Love the caddy's that they sell to store brads and stuff...thanks Denise :-)

  6. Just tip for anyone... I found cute little baskets at Target....I know of all places for scrapbooking and crafts...any who.. they have cute baskets with linen lining inside, that comes out. I put each set of different company's embellys in it. I am an imaginisce fan... so I have them all in there and they also have great tins for a dollar.. they look like pails for the beach.. another great way to get things in order... You never know where you will find things for crafts...

  7. I bought something similar a WM but mine has the hinged lid it and I can actually get the lid to close on mine.

I am addicted to your blog, I find myself checking it several times a day for video updates! Thanks

  11. I went on a binge at Walmart when I found those containers a few weeks ago! I will be using them for my ribbons - great tip Robyn (as usual!). The containers come in different sizes/depths too and are great to store a lot of different items! And you got to love the price!

  13. I'm suddenly feeling very organized ... this is the way I've been storing my ribbons for years now ... my rubbermaid containers don't have the pretty blue handles that your's do, but they work the same ... thanx for justifying my ribbon storage method! (wink)

  17. I have a couple of the plastic rolling carts. (I got mine at Big Lots.) I have a couple of the larger drawers organized like this too. When I have a scrap, I wrap it around a small piece of cardboard and also organize them by color. It really makes it easier to design items. I love your blog and your videos. I caught a little glimpse of your stamp pads in some rack. What was that? I have mine in plastic adjustable silverware containers now, but I'm always looking for more efficiency.

  19. Hi Robyn,

Thanks for the short video on ribbon organization. I went on line to check the container out on Walmart, and it shows that it comes in a set of 6 for $21.00. Is this the one that you purchased? I am off to Walmart to check it out. I have my ribbons in a small square container and its not working for me. This looks perfect.

  20. I love ribbon! Mine is all over the place in an old shoe box at the moment but this video post certainly gave me some ideas about how to re-organise my crafting supplies. I am a Brit living in England so i don;t have those exact products in the supermarket but i will know the kind of thing to buy so thank you anyway!

I came across your blog because i was searching for crafting blogs online and also because i create free digital scrapbook papers which are available for free download and want to share what i create with other crafters (I love card making and paper crafts especially).I hope they will be enjoyed by lots of people a i have a large range of free scrapbook and card making papers at the moment but i am creating more and more all the time.

  21. Well, went to Walmart and bought these boxes. Although you cannot close them with the lid - they are MUCH more organized!!! I am able to pull the one I want when working on a project instead of DIGGING through a deeper basket. Thanks for the info!!

    Hugs, T

(YES this is the same day I found my DESK LAMPS for $.97!!! WOO HOO)
