My love of ribbon!!

As I look around my Pink Loft I am realizing that I have a total love of ribbon. It is everywhere!! I just need to figure a better way to store it. For now it is in an okay spot but as I start to organize it will need to fit better. :)

MMmm, I want to stroke it all!! ha ha ha, I had the same problem with storage Robyn, I ended up colour sorting it all then popping into recycled glass jars, they look very pretty lined up on my shelf. Glad to see you back!

Hi Robyn! Glad you're back and posting again!

I recognize some of that ribbon--especially the last photo. And every time I go to the craft stores, it seems I come home with another roll . . . or two . . . or five . . . or . . . 8-)

Robyn,

I have seen a lot of ribbon done up on very small diameter curtain rods on decorative rod holders up on the wall near a desk you work near. Just a thought on how you could organize it. You have so much pretty ribbon.

Wow, that is a lot of ribbon! Let us know how you decide to store it - I still haven't figured that part out yet!

Soo, that's where all my ribbon went! When you find a good storage idea, please pass it along ~ I could use one myself.

I also have a TON of ribbon and found the perfect solution for me. I wanted to be able to see everything I had without having to dig through a jar or something. So I used the Ribbon Ring. Check out my blog about it and I have the link to it also. http://princessscrapgirl.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
That reminds me I need to buy more cards for my ribbon. Anyway I am totally loving it. You can see the ribbon hanging in my new scrap room here.

It's good to hear ya!! I love the idea of the curtain rods!! Whatever you do, do not take them off the spools. I did this and now I have a huge mess!!! Since they are still on the spools, the curtain rod would work perfectly. Plus it would act like art work, and your walls would look pretty. You could organize it by color, and it would be so easy to get to and use. Thats the main thing!!! If I see it, I tend to use it more!! Keep us up to date on what you decide to do.

I love ribbon too. I've tried many different types of storage systems and finally found one I love. It's the Craft Mate's Ribbon Rack. I got mine form Wal-Mart for under $8.00. I love how it has adjustable dividers so when you pull one ribbon the others don't move.

Love all your ribbon. I have a bit of an addition too :-) I've just managed to build myself a rack for my stamps, if you want go check it on my blog, and I am now wondering how I can make something to store my ribbon. If you find a great idea do share!
