HI all! We are at the airport right now on our way home. We had such a great vacation but all good things must come to an end. We are so ready to sleep in our own beds even though we had the time of our lives.

Episode 67- Apple Cider Slider

Halloween Jewelry

Me again!!! Yup, I posted 2 times in one day. The meds must be kicking in!! I made these sets of jewelry for my children's teachers, too. Since we missed the beginning of the year teacher gifts because of our move I wanted to make the holidays special. Enjoy!!

Fall Fun!

I can't believe I haven't posted in a week! I've been trying to deal with this dumb cold & stomach virus. I'm still not up to par today but thought I would check in. I made a fun topper last night for a challenge Design Team that I am on and also to give to my children's teachers for the holidays. Hope you enjoy!

I am leaving this week for our Disney World trip. I will try to check in with some pics to share since I will be bringing my Mac with me.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday!!

One of my other great creative passions is jewelry making.  A friend of mine introduced me to it about a year ago and I have been hopelessly hooked ever since.  I love how I can use my ability to put colors together with my paper crafts and apply it to bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. Here are 3 sets that I made this week for some birthdays. I think these turned out really cute. Hobby Lobby has their glass beads for half off this week so I was able to replenish my supply after I made these. Hope you enjoy!!

Hope Is.....

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Are you going Pink??? I thought I would start off the month by making pink cards for all my friends who are survivors or who are going through this right now. Please take a minute this month and find a way to support breast cancer awareness.

This card was made using Stampin' Up!'s retired Hope Is stamp set. The Cuttlebug was used for the embossed background & Cricut cartridge Mini Monograms was used for the scallop circle.

I have had a lot of you e-mailing me and leaving me comments asking why I don't like the new Stampin' Up! border scallop punch. My answer is that it punches terribly. Yes, I know that I can punch it with wax paper and with foil but, honestly, you should not have to do that with a brand new punch. I LOVE the Fiskars Threading Water punch and have never had to do that with it. I know that I will get to love my SU punch after I do the necessary steps to make it better but until then it drives me crazy. I have used it many times and the oil marks from the factory are still showing up. That usually disappears after time but they are there.

Okay, those are my thoughts. Maybe I just got a bad punch. I hope that's just it.

Have a great day!

No, I am not talking about "the" creation. I'm talking about our ability, yearning to create something that was not there before. This weekend I heard a wonderful talk by one of our church leaders and this is what he talked about. He said that as humans we all have the desire to create within us. Whether it be crafts, making a garden, building a house, creating a peaceful environment for our children, etc........ we all want to create. I have been pondering about that and have come to the conclusion that I love to create paper things. Does this mean that I am only able to create crafts?? No! What I mean is that I really feel spiritually uplifted when I am scrapbooking for my family or creating a card I am going to send to somebody. I love that feeling! I love that I am able to make something out of bits & pieces. I hope you will all take a minute to think about the many things in your lives that you love to create.

I made this scrapbook page this morning. I had the urge to create something and I did. Although my style is super simple, it is what I love and I am going to stick with it. I used a Simple Scrappin' Kit by Stampin' Up! that is now discontinued. The font that I used is Storybook & Basecamp using my Cricut. I also used Stampin' Up!'s new scallop border punch (which I am NOT thrilled with). Hope you enjoy!
