SCS Color Challenge

I finally have some of my stampin' mojo back. I made these cards this morning for SCS's collor challenge using Purely Pomegranite, Old Olive, and Pretty in Pink. Hope you enjoy!

I used The Angel Company's Little Friends for the piggie, the Cricut's Alphalicious for the scallop oval, and the Cuttlebug for the embossed background.

This card was made using the new Papertrey Ink stamp set Beautiful Blooms.

A day of scrappin....

Today I had some friends over from church to do some serious scrapbooking. I just love this page made with the Cricut Paper Doll Dressup cartridge. Isn't it just so cute?? Hope you enjoy!!

Beware of this toy!!!

I went upstairs for a few minutes to put away some laundry and I came down to find my 8 month old being strangled by this toy. I don't even know how he managed it but that cord was wrapped tightly around his neck. I think I just barely got to him in time, thank goodness. If you have this toy I would recommend cutting the cord. That is what I am doing.

A card.... Can you believe it??

I actually made a card!! I started this last night but then felt uninspired. I just finished it this afternoon and I think it is okay. Nothing great but still nice for me.

I used Winged Things stamp set, Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink, & Brocade Blue for my colors. I used the Cuttlebug for the embossed background and, of course, the Cricut for the scallop circle.

Kindergarten!!

My 3rd child DS started Kindergarten today. I'm sort of sad but sort of happy. I'm sad because I will miss my sweet little boy but I am happy because he is so ready to be in school. It's hard to keep him entertained all day long. Here is a cute picture I took of him today before we left for school. Isn't he just adorable??

High School Musical 2 Party!!

Friday night was the official opening night of Disney's High School Musical 2. I decided to throw a party with all the young girls from my church. There were about 15-17 of us total and it was a blast. We started out the night by playing some HS Musical games including name that tune & musical microphone. We had pizza, chips, twizzlers, m&m's, & ice cream. The movie wasn't that bad either!!

Okay, I'll admit it........

I'm a bit overwhelmed!! This week has just been crazy. Between my DH finally having clearance to open his practice and my kids starting school I am a nervous wreck!! I have not had any desire to stamp or scrapbook and that is not normal at all. I hope this feeling passes soon. I just want to curl up in a ball and read a good book for the rest of the week. My DH has his open house tomorrow for his business so I think that is one of the main contributions to my stress. My children also have been kind of out of control since Monday but I think that is due to getting up at 7am every day. Really cute story.... My girls were so excited about school on Monday that they got up at 5am and got completely ready for school. I went in their room to get them up at 7 and found them both asleep fully dressed!! I think everything will be back to normal next week but for the meantime I will just hang in there.

Thanks for listening to me. It's 9pm and I think I am just going to go to bed. DH is still at the office putting things in their proper places, etc.

First day of school...

Today was the first day of school for my girls. It is kind of quite around here but still a little wild with my 3 boys home. My 5 year old starts Kindergarten on Wednesday so after that I will have the afternoons to myself. I'm very lucky that my two youngest still take 2-3 hour naps in the afternoon.

My blog has not worked all weekend so hopefully this gets it up and going. Thank you for all the help over at SCS!!

Sorry I am so late posting the winner. I have not been blogging much this week. I have been trying to help my DH out. We have had a minor setback to starting his business but I know it will all work out.

My New Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge

Here is a little tutorial on how to use the new Cricut cartridge Paper Dolls. I love this cartridge. You can do so many things with it. I use it mainly for scrapbooking but I also use it for additions to my cards.

Here is what a cartridge box looks like...

Each cartridge comes with a handbook where you can see all the many possibilities with each image. You can do thousands of things with each one.

Next I put the paper on my mat, push the button I want to use, and hit cut.

Here is my cut of the basic body for my paper doll.

I bought some awesome stamps from www.peachykeenstamps.com to use for the face. I ordered the one that has 6 different sizes with 6 different expressions.

What I love about this cartridge is that I can customize it to the hair and clothing that I want to use. I used So Saffron for the hair cut here.

I used Pixie Pink for the outfit, shoes, and bow.

Here's the finished product. I just need to add some pictures and my journaling and VIOLA I'm done!! Pretty cute, huh??!!

Today's SCS Challenge

I made this card today for SCS's Limited Supply Challenge. The challenge was to make a card about something that reminded you of summer. I love these strawberries from Papertrey Ink. I used my new patterned paper that I got at Hobby Lobby last week for only 20 cents a sheet! It is very thick and two sided!! The colors I used were Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Bashful Blue. I hope you enjoy!

Today I am going to Panera Bread with some girls from church. We are having a little going away gathering for the 3 girls who are leaving for college in the next week. I'm super hungry! I can't wait to order, only 2 1/2 hours to go.

Monkey Candy!!!!

In honor of reaching 15,000 hits (which was last week) I am giving away this Changito monkey from Stampendous as my candy!!! Isn't that so great???? I was shopping today and found ANOTHER one of these monkeys sitting all by himself on the shelf. Well, I just couldn't leave him there, could I???

All you have to do is comment on this post with your favorite color combos. I'll pick the winner on Friday. Good luck to you all! Thanks for supporting my blog!

Stampin' Up! Days...

I've had quite a few people e-mail me and ask why I retired as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator last September. I just want to sum it up in one word..... family. Although I loved being a demonstrator and all the perks associated with it, I came to the conclusion that my growing family needed me so much more. Do I regret my decision?? Not at all! I am super happy just being me, mommy, Robyn, and Honey. Below is a picture that was taken when I served on the 2004-2005 Advisory Board. This was when we were on the AB retreat in Park City, Utah. This picture was taken in Shelli's office with her seated at the head. I was expecting my 4th child at the time and that is me seated on the right in pink, of course.

Crazy for Monkeys!

I was at Hobby Lobby on Saturday and I found the single monkey stamp that I have been searching for. It is super cute!! I also got this fun polka dot paper as well. Hope these cards bring a little smile to your day.

It looks like this is going to be another busy week for our family. I am helping my DH by answering phones and taking appointments until Wednesday. After that I can be normal again. What is normal?? Anyway, I expect today to be a pretty crazy day but that is fine with me. I like to have something to do! Hope you all have a great day!!

Hi Robyn, congratulations are in order here! Love to read your blog and see all your artwork. First thing I check in the morning. And oh my... would love to get that blog candy even if it was for the card alone :o)!! Beautiful as always!! Keep up the good work, happy stampin & scrappin!
Irma

Please contact me at robynstamps@yahoo.com with your mailing address so I can get this in the mail. Way to go!! Thanks for reading my blog!

Happy Frog

Isn't this little frog card the cutest? I wanted to try some of my new Wild Wasabi Stampin' Up! cardstock. I used the set Unfroggetable along with Vintage Violet & So saffron cardstock. I cuttlebugged the background and used the Cricut for the small scallop circle.

Today I am still helping out my DH with his new business. I'm so happy to be able to help. It doesn't hurt that I am earning some money to go towards the new Cricut Expression. Yes, I am probably going to cave and get that eventually. Maybe in the Fall. I think it would be nice to make really big cuts for my kids' walls and other fun stuff.

Last night I got to hang out with all the Young Women in my church. They had a sleepover but I just stayed until 10:30 pm. We made lemon & apple pies from scratch and played charades while listening to Hannah Montana, of course. Those girls think I am nuts because I know all the HM songs but I don't mind. It's my girls who are embarrassed about it. These YW think I am cool. :)

I forgot to mention that I am only 4 pages away from being finished with April 2007 scrapbooking!!! I just have May, June, and now July to finish. By the time I get those done I am sure it will be October. I don't think you can really ever say you are "caught up". I think if you are in the same year then that counts so, yes, I am caught up!!

Wow! I really do like PINK!!

I just realized that almost every card I make has some pink in it. Have you all noticed that, too?? I guess it is because the color pink just makes me happy. I have heard some stampers say that they don't ever use pink. I don't understand this!! I'm not even a real girly type of girl, okay, I guess I am but using pink in my cards is just how it works out. I don't even realize I do this!!

Just thought I would share my "Pink" thoughts.

Spring Flowers

I thought I would take a break from helping my DH today and make a quick card. I used Purely Pomegranite, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, & Regal Rose. The stamp set I used was Spring Garden.

This week has been super busy and I have not had a lot of time to stamp. Our a/c is now fixed upstairs so that is nice but my DH is getting ready to open a business and he really needs a lot of help. Good thing is that it is keeping me busy, not so good is that I don't have a lot of "me" time. That's okay because it is worth it.

Hope you enjoy this card...
