2 Cards

I made this first card before I went to bed last night. I wanted to do some paper piercing and stamp on background paper. I used the set Bud Basics for this one.

I pulled out my On the Farm stamp set for this next card. I made it a 4.25x4.25 square. I like how it turned out.

Yuck!!!

I have been doing the Slim Fast diet now for about a week & a half. I have lost about 9 pounds doing this but I have to say that I think the Strawberry shake is HORRIBLE!! I'm all out of the chocolate this morning and have to have the pink one. It's just not the same. Thought I would share that with you all just in case you were wondering. :) I'm going up to my office in a bit and going to work on some stuff to upload. I am going to try to get some more scrapbook pages done and cards made. Wish me luck!!

Party Favors

Tomorrow I am having a get together for the little girls that I work with at church. There are six 12 & 13 year olds coming over to have lunch, watch movies, play games, and hang out. We are going to have a blast! I made them these little popcorn boxes from my Cricut and filled them with candy for the movie. I think they are super cute!!

Cards for Matt

I was reading a thread about Matt on SCS. He was recently hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq and lost both his legs and one arm. Here is a link to his blog .

Scrapbook Night....

Last night was my church scrapbook night. I got 12 pages done!! Here are some of them. I loved chatting with my girlfriends while doing what I love!

Cool Chick

I got up at 5am today to feed the baby and I just stayed up. I know I am crazy because I am already beginning to feel tired. I decided to do an early Color Challenge while I was up. Here is my card using TAC's Little Friends. I think I will go back to bed for a couple of hours. My kids don't get up until 8:30 or 9:00. Night everyone.

Fun Stuff.....

Can I just say how much I love going to the pool? Today I took all the kids (minus the baby) down to the pool for about an hour. It was so nice to actually lay out a bit and get some sun. My sister told me that my legs really needed some sunlight so I took her advice. I think I might be a little burnt now but I am on my way to a golden brown tan that I haven't had since highschool!

Here are a couple cards for you today. I made the square one using Michael's dollar clear stamps. The other is made using Stampin' Up!'s Year by Year set that will be in the upcoming catalog. Enjoy!

Zebra Fun....

Tonight we got together with some friends from church and played games. It was a lot of fun. I haven't played Taboo in soooo long but I have got to say that I still have my touch. The girls rocked the boys world!! Here is a card that I whipped out tonight. I love pink and black together. I also love how the Prima Sprite looks on the card as a fun embellishment. I used a new set that will be featured in the Fall/Winter Stampin' Up! catalog. Enjoy!

Finally!!!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted any projects lately. I've been super busy with just "other stuff". I'm trying to get back in the groove.

I made this card for a friend who has some big things going on in her life. I thought it turned out really cute.

This is a covered "mini" composition notebook I made for the hostess of a swap I am in. My oldest daughter wanted to make cards for my blog today, too. She used mostly Cricut diecuts from my scrap box. I think they all turned out great!

My mom and sister arrived from Utah on Saturday......... YIPPEE!!! Today was the first day we really got to sit down and stamp. Here are some cards that I made. Hope you enjoy. I used today's SCS color challenge on three of them (Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, & Cameo Coral).

Check out this website. There are a ton of clips on there where they demonstrate different techniques. This is the one I just watched on Ranger Alcohol Inks. Really cool stuff! I hope you enjoy it, too!!

Another Butterfly

Okay, after I made this card and uploaded it I realized that my butterfly is upside down. Oh well, it's still cute anyway. I used Papertrey Ink's Butterfly stamp set. The colors I used were Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, & Pixie Pink.

I had a minute to make another card for Friday's challenge. I used PapertreyInk's stamp set Green Thumb to make the background and the flowers. I used Certainly Celery, Not Quite Navy, & Pretty in Pink for the colors. The ribbon is from Michaels.

Friday's Challenge.... Early!

The challenge on SCS for Friday was posted early so I got mine done tonight!! I love how this card turned out. I think I might make a bunch to send to people. In person it is so bright and fresh. Makes me want to eat it all up... YUM!! I used the Cricut for my scallop circle, Michael's ribbon, and Stampin' Up! colors Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, & Apricot Appeal. I can't forget the best part of the card...... Papertrey Ink's Green Thumb stamp set. I love it!!

Today's Ways to Use It Challenge...

Today the challenge was to make a card using chipboard. I don't own any chipboard ***GASP*** so I had to make my own using the Cricut. I just cut this turtle out 5 times and put it all together. It is nice and thick and you cannot even tell that it didn't come that way.

I was just messing around with some of my Michael's ribbon and Papertrey Ink stamps and came up with this. I really like how fun and bright it is.

Today's Sketch Challenge

Here is the card I made using SCS's sketch challenge for today. I think it turned out cute. The lighting wasn't the best for this pic, though. I used the Cuttlebug for the embossed background, Flower Factory & Wonderful Words for the stamps, and some fun, bright colors.

Today's Color Challenge

Here is my card for SCS's color challenge using Ruby Red, Certainly Celery, & Elegant Eggplant. I think it turned out cute. It was a quick card for me, too.

I made these two cards recently. They aren't for any challenges or anything, just for fun. The ladybug set is from Papertrey and the butterfly set is, too. I just love those clear stamps. They are so awesome to work with!!

Not much today....

I haven't done a whole lot today yet. Well, not a lot of scrappin' or stampin' that is. I still have this terrible head cold that just won't go away. Behind my eyes is very painful. The kids are all down at the pool with DH swimming right now and the baby is asleep so it is a little quiet around here. Last week was pretty crazy. I babysat a lot but I don't mind. My friend had her baby on Thursday morning so I watched her 3 & 6 year old all day and they spent the night, too. That was a treat. If you think I am amazing for having 5 kids under the age of 9 try having 7!! Today I have a little break from kids because my DH is home. Next week will be really fun because the kids are out for the summer but I am planning on having little playdates with them to keep them busy. Swimming lessons start on Tuesday and they also have Piano. The only mornings I will need to fill for the summer are Mondays and Fridays.

Okay, I'm off! I'd better get something done while I have all this freedom!

I love my new camera!!!

Well, I've had my new Kodak Easyshare 710 for a few days now and I absolutely LOVE it!! My life has just become a whole lot easier. The pictures are much better and it is just easy to use. All I do after I take pictures is put it on it's dock and push a button. Then the pictures and videos are automatically transferred to the program where it stores ALL my 4500 pictures. I can't believe I did it the hard way for so long. If you are looking for a great camera that is very user friendly I highly recommend this one.

Here is one of the cards I made for a Brown & ??? swap I am in on SCS. I think it turned out really cute. Have you ever seen a Pink Giraffe before? Leave it to me to make ANYTHING pink!!

Apple of my eye...

I made this pape this week at a scrapbook day held in my church. I just love how it turned out. I don't think I could live without my handy Cricut for scrapbooking. Too much fun!!
