My mom....
I'm super excited because my mom, one of my sisters, and two of her girls will be here in one week and two days!! I can't wait. I have a lot of great memories of my mom but one of my favorites is when we lived in Battle Ground, Washington. My mom always made sure we had fun stuff to do on our little "farm". We had chickens, bunny rabbits, goats, a cow, and even a horse for a little bit. We also had a huge garden where my mom taught us how fun that could be to take care of. I'm so grateful for the memories she has given me. Love you mom!

Scrapbooking!
I feel like I haven't posted in forever!! We had a fun LONG weekend with all the kids. Lots of swimming was involved, of course. Yesterday was my scrapbooking day with my church. I had about 8 girls over at my house and we got lots done. I finished 14 pages!! Can you believe that? I will upload some in a few. I am still waiting for my new camera to get here to play with it. I'm a bit under the weather today. I am hoping to play in my stamp room if I feel better.

Look what arrived!!
Okay, so I didn't stamp today or yesterday but I did make something...... This yummy BREAD! My Bosche arrived today and I have already used it twice to make the most fabulous bread! I'll attach the recipe at the bottom that I got from my friend Tana.
2 1/2 C. Water, 1 T. yeast, 1 T. honey
Put those first 3 ingredients in Bosch and let set for 10 minutes.
Add:
2 C. white flour
2 C. whole wheat flour
1 egg
1/4 C. oil
3/4 C. honey
2 tsp dough enhancer
2 tsp salt
Mix until all ingredients blended. Begin adding more wheat 1 cup at a time (about 4-5 more cups). Mix the flour into the dough mixture until the dough pulls away from the side of the bowl. When the sides of the bowl are clean stop adding flour. Allow the mixer to knead the dough for 8-10 more minutes. Separate into 3 sprayed bread pans. Let rise 30 minutes or until double in size. Bake on 350 for 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Bloggin' for fun
I have decided that I am going to take my counter and Stamper's top 50 off my blog. I really have no reason for blogging except for fun. I love to share what I make and a little about what's going on around here. I don't like how I was spending too much time checking to see what my stats are. Personally, they are not important to me. I don't need the competition in my life right now.
I'm super excited to do today's challenge on SCS. I got up at 6am today because I needed to feed the baby and I just stayed up. I've already folded one load of laundry and have a load going. I'm going to try to spend less time on the computer today and more time doing what I love.... playing with my little ones and stamping.

My exciting day.....
Okay, not much really happened today. I stayed in my jammies until 10:00am and finally got ready when a friend called me to ask if I could watch her kids. You wouldn't believe how fast I can pick up my house, get myself ready, and my kids decent before someone comes over. You would have thought that I was cleaning all day long. I even got a "the house looks great, honey" when Bryan came home from work. My friend Robin calls it the hubby shuffle. Anyway, this past week I sold a lot of my stamps. Probably about half my stash. GASP! Can you believe it?? Well, I figured I wasn't using 350 stamp sets so I'd better just downsize. I am glad that they are going to a good home and will be loved. So with some of the money from the sale I bought a Bosch this week and also a new digital camera. I'm so excited for both of them to get here. Can you believe that I still have a 3.1 megapixel camera? I think that is what the Flinstones used, right? The one I bought is a Kodak Easyshare 710. It has an awesome zoom and is just an all around great camera. I can even take 80 minute video with it. I'm going to try to experiment and maybe have some video on my blog. I think that would be super fun!! I didn't do much stamping today but I did get a scrapbook page finished. Sorry, but it's not blogable. It was pretty basic. Honestly that is how most of my pages are.... simple and quick. I only upload the ones that I put more effort into.
Have a great night everyone. I'm signing off for the day. It is only 10:25 but I am beat!

Technique Lovers Challenge
Here is my card for SCS's Monday challenge. I made this one in about 10-15 minutes. I already had the background made so that made it quick and easy. Hope you enjoy. I just love it because it is pink! I used Something Marvelous stamp set, a white crayon, Cotton Candy Spectrum pad, Basic Black ink, black mini brads, & black gingham ribbon. For the cardstock I used Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink, Basic Black, & Glossy White.

What I've been doing....
Okay, here is what I've been up to. I made 4 of these card tins for some girls in my church who just graduated from highschool. I filled each tin with 20 cards/envelopes, and a book of stamps. I also taught in church today and made these little handouts for the girls. The scrapbook page was made for my Super Saturday scrapbooking class. Very simple but I love it!

The "lost" tooth....
Tonight my daughter decided just to pull out her loose tooth by herself. She was so excited until she realized she literally "lost" her tooth. I told her that the toothfairy would know and bring her a little money anyway. She told me that you cannot trick the toothfairy or you will get in trouble so we decided to write a note and I took her picture to put under her bed. Here it is....

Color challenge...
Today on Splitcoaststampers the color challenge was to use Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal, with Green Galore(optional). Here are a couple cards I made.
I used a TAC stamp set for this card, Tempting Turquoise mini brads from SU, and grosgrain from SU.

This card was made using Papertrey Ink's Green Thumb set. I just love all the many things I can do with this set!

3x3 Challenge
On SCS today there was a challenge on making a quick 3x3 card. For this card I pulled out my patterned paper scrap container. I'm so happy that I was able to use some of that stuff!! I used Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip, & Whisper White for the cardstock, Basic Brown for the ink, Stampin' Write markers to color it, and Prima Flowers to finish it off.

Look what arrived today...
I'm so super excited!! My Prima Flowers arrived today. There are a TON in each container. I'm going to have flowers forever. These are my first two designs with them. I will try to get more creative later but I have a house full of kids today. Did I mention I am babysitting 2 other boys ages 6 & 2? That makes 5 children under the age of 6 right now. How did I stamp these cards, you ask? Very quickly!!
THIS is why I haven't stamped today....

Lauren's Challenge
On my friend Lauren's Blog today she had a challenge to use black as your main color with a splash of another color. Here is my card. I used my new Photo Shop in a Box and tried 3 different backgrounds. You will have to tell me which one you like the best.

Photo in a box II
Here is the blog of Lauren Meader (mytime) where I saw the Photo in a box. http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2007/04/27/oh-so-cool-and-professional-softbox-photo-studio/ I bought mine off ebay. It's really cool! I just need to tweak it!

My new photo box
Okay, so I went ahead and bought this cool box to take my pictures in. It's so professional but very inexpensive. Here are two pics I took of some cards I made last year. I want to see if the quality is any better. I think I will eventually have to get a nicer camera but this will have to do for now. Hope you enjoy!

Crazy Saturday
Have you ever had a day that seemed so rush-rush & busy but yet you wonder what really got done?? That was my day. We had so much packed into one day that I am grateful to be able to sit down and take a break for a minute. Here are a few cards that I made a little bit earlier. Are you surprised that there is no butterfly?? Maybe on Monday.....
