I want to thank Lori for tagging me on her blog. I'm not sure if I have any more interesting facts about me that you don't already know about. Here are some that not everyone knows.

#1- I taught myself to play the piano two years ago and it only took me 3 months to be able to play simple hymns with both hands. I love to play!! I never took piano lessons when I was a child and am surprised at how fast I picked it up.

#2- My favorite animal is the shark. I am totally afraid of any water that would contain them but I am fascinated to watch them on TV. When I was on the Hawaiian Cruise a while ago my DH and I went snorkling. I freaked out and I didn't even see a shark. It was the fact that at any moment a shark could be swimming beneath me and there was nothing I could do about it. Okay, even typing that really freaked me out!

#3- I like to try new things, master them, and then I get bored of them. Is anyone else like me?? That is why my DH is so surprised that I still like to stamp and scrapbook. I've attempted many hobbies and once I get them down I don't find them as fun anymore. I guess I'm just a papercraft type of gal!

#4- I only lived 22 miles from Mt. St. Helens when it errupted in Washington. I remember watching it from my front yard and then having to wear a mask to school for week following because we had so much ash in the air. That winter we had gray snow. I'm not even kidding about that. I had some old pictures of me playing in the snow with my dog and everything was gray. I thought that the picture had just gone bad but my sis reminded me that it was gray that year. Weird!

#5- I love to read!!! I just started reading the Little House on the Prairie series and I love it! I'm learning so much about what the pioneers had to do to survive.

#6- I'm so grateful that my DH married me. I was one of those high maintanence girlfriends that we so often see. I'm not like that at all anymore (wink, wink). Really, I have changed so much. I asked him why he married me when I was so demanding and spunky. He told me the sweetest thing. He said "Because I saw your potential." Isn't that so totally sweet??

That's all I can think of right now. I'm not going to tag anyone this time. Thanks for reading!

  1. Every May I teach my students about Mt. St. Helens and having to wear the ash masks. We were still in LaCenter and we were too close. Remember how it was unsafe to eat the beef from the cows in the area because they had eaten so much ash. They say that the ash from the eruption could be found in every place around the world. It went up so high that the wind carried it. Amazing!

  2. I had just gotten married the November before and we lived in Oklahoma City. That summer after the eruption, we had light coats of gray ash on our cars in the mornings. The ash traveled quite a distance.

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I love to hear from you!!
